The director sat in his office chair comfortably as he read local newspaper with a mug of espresso in hand. He couldn't get any luckier when he was assigned to site 28 which housed nothing but safe class objects. A knock on the door pulled him from his routine trace and responded with a simple "come in". The door opened to reveal a young woman in a lab coat, carrying a clip board with files attached. She had long flowing black that was neatly wrapped into a bun so it wouldn't interfere with her work.

"Ahh Dr. Sofia, i take that you have the transfer documents for scp 088 yes?" He asked, not taking his gaze away from his paper.

The doctor simply nodded and gently place the clipboard in front of the man while taking seat on the couch closest to her. "Yes sir, it will be arriving in 3 days from now. We already have the containment chamber built and ready for the creature." She said while digging into her coat pocket to pull out a stick of gum. "I also took it upon myself to reassign some staff to the scp that have met the proper criteria, you're very much welcome."

The director looked up at the doctor with a raised eyebrow. "Thank you for doing exactly what you are supposed to be doing Sofia, what would i do without you?" He asked in a sarcastic tone while taking a sip of his mug. She giggled while tossing the stick of mint flavored gum into her mouth. "By the way, what are reading? Everytime i come in here, you are always glued on to that damn newpaper."

"It's about the hybirds, it's saying up here that they are developing a new breed of reptiles. Supposedly, these breeds will resemble that of the mythical European Dragons, which will cost a pretty penny depending on what you are looking for." He stated while placing his signature on the bottom of the transfer sheet.

"Should we be investigating something like this? I mean, this type of thing would instantly catch the attention of the foundation especially if it directly involves the public." Sofia asked with a sense of curiosity in her voice. He had always admired her work ethic even if she doesn't worked as hard as everyone else from other sites. "Well rumor has it that they were made by some former researcher from the Prometheus labs incorporated, so i can understand where they got the knowledge but what about the funding?"

The doctor thought about it for moment. "Marshal, Carter and dark?" She answerered hesitately but was met with soft whistle from the director. "You are definitely on the money now Sofia, those guys have near unlimited amounts of money to do something like this. What i still don't get is why would they want hybirbs in the first place?" He pondered, staring blankly off into the distance.

"Well, probably use them as a form of entertainment. They were designed to obey humans and submissive, somewhat affordable to the average joe if you have alot of money laying around that is. Between you and me sir, i was planning on buying myself a horse hybird to see if i could....handle his size hehehe, i almost have enough saved up too!" This nearly made the director choke on his drink and looked at the women sitting on his couch who held a gleeful expression on her face staring back. "DOCTOR SOFIA! This is an professional environment, im your superior for goodness sake! I don't wanna hear about your weird kinks." His voice broke mid sentence as if he was going through puberty again which made her giggle before getting both of her hands up in defense. " calm down direttore, im just fucking with you."

"I sometimes wonder why i still keep you here. Clearly, you are gonna make me blow my brains out before i retire." He said while getting up from his seat and made his way out of the door while gesturing her to follow. The pair casually walked down the corridor of the facility they worked in, passing through numerous server rooms and storage areas with the occasional greeting of another staff member or security guard on duty. "The foundation did try to investigate the origins of hybirds awhile back but was quickly dropped by order of the 05s. We had the ability to step in and stop them from being created but decided to let it happen for reasons unknown to me." He said while they entered the cafeteria. "Now they are everywhere, i just hope that nothing bad can come from all this."

"Ohh? I didn't know that but at the same time, im not really that surprised. Knowing how we do things here, there must be a big important reason why we didn't follow through. In my opinion, i don't mind the hybirds being around. It's a nice change of pace from what we usually go through." Sofia said happily as she grabbed two metal trays from the counter, handing one to her boss.

"Yeah i guess but still, it makes wonder. Who's really behind it all." The site director said as slowly shuffled through line, a flock of cooks were already waiting for them to arrive. "And you are paying too, i promise to pay you back.....eventually." He said plainly Sofia's face immediately contorted with bitterness followed by viscous hiss. "Come on Sal, you do nothing but sit on ass all day and sign papers and you make a bunch of money for it! You can easily pay it yourself!" She protested but he didn't want to hear any of it.

"Quit your whining, it's my job to sit on my ass and sign papers, it's your job to pay for your bosses lunch and don't call me by that name, i hate that name." He shot back but not loud enough for everyone around him could to hear.

She playfully stuck out her tongue at him before taking a deep sigh in defeat. "Fine remind me to never br anywhere near you during lunch break." Her enthusiasm returned instantly, which always made him cringe everytime. As both of them conversed with each other, the cafeteria slowly became devoid of life as staff and guards alike finished their lunch break, leaving to complete their daily task.

"I may not like you sofia but i trust you when it comes to classified information so can you live up to that reputation right?" The man asked, his voice getting serious as they were the only two left, the atmosphere was no longer lively and bright.

"Of course mio amico, we are based on nothing but lies and secrets anyway so it's nothing new to me." Sofia calmly said as her superior went into his suit to pull out a small photo. He didn't let out a single word as the man handed the doctor the picture and examined her expression closely. "W-what is t-this?" She stammered. The director chuckled and simply shrugged his shoulders, "It's all i have but it was more than enough to tell me that the hybirds are more than just servants. I saw why the foundation decided to close the investigation immediately."

The picture showed a pitch black room with two individuals dressed in bright orange jumpsuits that can barely be seen by the camera. One was a human male that was partially covered in a tar-like substance, the areas where the stuff touched, rapidly decomposed including his flesh. The other individual however was a female wolf, she was completely untouched.

"That was her fourth partner before we had to terminate the experiment with the old man and if you tell anyone about what i showed you then i will personally throw you in there with him." He said, looking dead into her eyes. Sofia gulped and slowly nodded.
