The Dragon Lord - Chapter 2: Revelations
Morning. A single ray of sunlight entered the cave, washing the inside of the cave with its warming light, the cave near enough fully exposed in the light of day. Krathlor woke up and yawned instinctively, like he did every morning. He took a few steps forward and fell back, the chains that bound him chinking and clanking together. He sat there for a few seconds while he took in what had happened. Eyes still blurred slightly from sleep, he got up once again and rubbed his eyes, clearing that last little bit out, making the world snap into focus. It was then he remembered what happened last night.
"I could've sworn it was a dream" he mumbled, the echo travelling around the cave. A snore came in reply from the other side of the cave. A cough next to him, making him jump; looking down, he could now see the other slave that had been captured long before he was.
Sitting up, the grey wolf patted the floor beside him, signaling for Krathlor to sit beside him. "It's better to leave them in peace," he said whispering, "I made the foolish mistake of muttering under my breath in the morning and the consequences... Well, the consequences were horrific."
Krathlor sat and noted this, obviously aware that the grey wolf knew what he was talking about. "Cheers for the warning." he said, a smile growing on his maw. "I suppose I'm in for a long stay then?"
"You better believe it" replied the grey wolf, a smirk on his face. "I suppose I better introduce myself, seeing as we're going to be buddies for however long that lot," he waves a hand in the group of dragon's direction, "decides to keep us here for. My names Greywolfe, what's yours?"
"Krathlor," he replied, not sure what else to say, "But my friends call me Krath."
"Welcome Krathlor, or rather, Krath," he said as he winked, "You'll be put through either your worst nightmares, or many heavenly dreams, depending on how you act around your new master. I say do as you're told, but, if you're one of those wily types... I s'pose I should let you learn for yourself." Greywolfe leant back against the wall they were attached to. "I know you'll hate it at first, but they can be... generous... when they want. Hang up! They're up. Remember, do as they say and it'll be fun. Don't speak unless you're spoken to, or unless you disobey the orders, which will be at your own peril." He stopped talking, sitting with his eyes closed against the wall now. "Was he pretending to be asleep?" Krathlor thought to himself, "Or is he actually going back to sleep?" Waving a paw in front of Greywolfe's eyes quickly told him that he had gone back to sleep.
"Hello... Pet..." his new Master cooed as he rose and ambled toward him. Krathlor didn't know his name, as everyone seemed to refer to him as 'Master'. "Does that mean the other dragons are his slaves too?" He thought to himself, the idea swirling around his brain. "They must be, otherwise..." He was disturbed as his Master roared "I SAID HELLO YOU WORTHLESS SACK OF CRAP!!!!"Making, not only Krathlor jump, but the other dragons too. They saw their master with his pets, so they left him to it.
"Let's. Try. This. Again." The dragon said through gritted teeth, his face a few feet away from the cowering wolf. "Hello... Pet..."
"Hello... M... Master" Krathlor replied, shaking slightly, still shook up from the outburst.
"Better... You've still got a long way to go... Hopefully we won't have to do anything to... ruthless... Just yet," the dragon explained, choosing his words carefully. He was enjoying watching the young wolf cower, licking his lips as he watches the wolf shake, allowing some spit to dribble from the tip of his tongue. He watched it hit the floor and explode, sending little globes of spit flying outward, away from where the spit had landed, a few warm globes landing on the wolf's feet. Leering at the dragon, his emerald green eyes mere slits, he explained
"We will have much fun with you, whether you obey or not. We'll be going out to get some food. I hope you're not too picky, because if you are, it's too bad. You'll go without eating. He turned his back on the captives. "Granthor! You'll stay and look after my pets. They rest of us will find today's food. Don't let them escape..." He trundled over to Granthor and leant to whisper in his ear. "I smell something strange about Krathlor... I can't put my claw on it yet... He seems... powerful. I do hope you can keep him in check?"
"Yes Master"
"Good. Remember, don't let him out of your sight, I don't want this one running away, he looks like fun." With that, the dragons took off, searching for their prey.
Granthor slowly paced toward the captives. He sat for a few minutes eyeing Krathlor over. "My, what a strong wolf we have here," he said, watching Krathlors pectorals flexing as he breathed, rising and falling slowly, "I didn't realize how well built you were... I must've been tired last night" He finished, laying next to the pair.
Krathlor growled softly, stopping when he saw Granthors head rise. "I'm guessing you have a lot of questions you want answering. Tell you what, I'll let you ask three questions, and I'll answer them as truthfully as I can, how does that sound?" He asked Krathlor. Krathlors' heart nearly skipped a beat as he was offered this opportunity. So many questions swirling through his mind, so many questions to choose from, only 3 questions to be answered...
Krathlor looked into the dragons eyes. He took in a deep breath and released it slowly, calming his nerves. For someone so strong and brave, he'd allowed this to be washed away by the dragons. "My first question is; why did you choose me? There were dozens of other pickings, so why me."
Grathor laughed, tilting his head back as he did. "I chose you because I could sense you from the sky. Something about you attracted me. I had to have a look. I saw you lying there and thought you were perfect. I bought you back, and here you are, trapped in a cave, chained to the wall, our master's pet..." he trailed off.
Allowing this information to settle in his mind, Krathlor immediately thought of another question. "Why do you refer to... my Master... as your own? Are you his... pet... too?"
Ignoring the double question, allowing it to slip this time, Granthor replied "We call him 'master' because we obey his instructions. He doesn't have a name of such, but he goes by the alias 'Draeg'. We are, in any way, his pets or slaves. He found each of us alone in the world; all our parents had either abandoned us or died. He decided, rather than to let the babies die, he decided to raise us as his own along with his wife."
Another shocking piece of information for Krathlor to absorb. The eldest dragon had a wife? How old was she? Where was she? Were they a breeding pair? Too many questions were swirling around in his brain, drowning him slowly.
Krathlor shook his head violently, killing off those questions. "One last question," Granthor said, "Choose it wisely." He lowered his head, resting it on the ground, still looking at Krathlor.
Swallowing hard, fearing the answer of his last question, Krathlor asked "What do you intend to do to me?" The world seemed to stop as he waited with baited breath for the response.
"Alas, I cannot help you there. Master never tells us what he intends to do with any of his pets. You'll have to wait and find out." He lowered his head once again, letting his eyelids droop over his eyes.
The world spun around Krathlor. He was captured because Granthor could sense him. "Why? What was so... interesting... about me? I'm just a normal kid. Sure, I had a dark past, half of which I wish never to remember, even though I do. I got to college, I don't have any part time jobs, but I'm still working on that, I like to listen to music, watch TV, read a book and write the occasional short story, but isn't that what every teenager does?"
Sensing the discomfort in the wolf, Granthor smiled, loving the feeling. He rose and moved closer to Krathlor. "I'll let you in on a secret. I was attracted to you for one reason. There was something not normal about yourself, your past. I can tell it was dark and disturbing, you've suppressed many memories. I could tell there was... something... in you that made me come. I was unsure of it at first, but Master had definitely figured it out this morning..." He trailed off again.
Krathlor, with baited breath gulped. "Wha... What did M... Master say?" he asked, stuttering slightly.
"He told me, you have great power within you. He has the power to understand things many don't he's able to look in one's past, look into one's dreams and see what happened. He knows what happened in your past, what happens in your dreams. Have you never wondered why you're so strong? Haven't you thought to yourself how you're so fit, even though you don't do any sports?" Krathlor nodded slightly. "He told me that you've been training. While you thought you were sleeping, you've actually been fighting part of yourself, a side of you that your sub-conscious mind doesn't want to escape." Explained Granthor, once again, he moved even closer toward Krathlor. His eyes met with Krathlor's as he spoke once again. "I have a feeling Master may be coming up with a plan to train you further. I'm sure both he and yourself would like that greatly. Imagine, you're very strong already. The only thing keeping you here at the moment is fear. I'm sure you could, if you want, break free if you were able to tap into the power your body contains... Could you imagine? Master would be more powerful than before, with you at his side... A place where you would choose who would live..." trailing off again, he kissed Krathlor, his tongue wrestling with Krathlors' violently.
Krathlor tried to withdraw, turning his head sideways, but Granthor had a different idea. Holding Krathlors' muzzle, restricting the wolf's head from moving. He thrust his tongue in further, closing his eyes as he enjoyed the taste of the wolf spit on his tongue. Reaching up with a claw from each hand, Granthor started drawing invisible circles around Krathlors nipples, gliding over them every now and then, feeling them grow hard.
Withdrawing his tongue, continuing the invisible circles, Granthor told Krathlor "However, Master may not want that to happen... just yet. I know for a fact, the rest of us, and possibly our Master, have different plans... We're going to turn your world upside-down". He paused and smiled as he let his tail slowly slide up on the inside of one of the wolf's thigh and down the other in an arch, going backwards and forwards repeatedly. Krathlor moaned lightly at the sensation. Granthor continued these movements with his tail, smiling at the chained up wolf as he thrust his tongue into the wolf's muzzle once again, stopping when he heard the beating of dragon wings outside. "We'll continue this little game later" he said seductively as he winked at the wolf.
"Granthor, we're back! Get a fire started while we skin breakfast!" boomed his master.
"Yes Master"
Draeg walked over to the trussed up wolves, kicking Greywolfe slightly, waking him. "I trust you boys like deer?" he asked.
"Yes Master" both wolves replied in unison.
"Good, I'm glad to hear it. You'll be eating with us, for now." Turning, he walked over to the already burning fire.
Krathlor could see his master was in a good mood, so he asked "What's the occasion?" The room fell silent at that precise moment. You could cut the atmosphere with a knife. Draeg turned slowly on the spot. "Did you just question me?" he slowly asked Krathlor, who gulped and said nothing.
"DID YOU JUST QUESTION ME?" he bellowed once again at the shaking wolf, whose chains were once again rattling as he shook.
"Y... Y... Yes... M... Master..."
Dreag lowered himself to Krathlor's height, boring deep into the wolf's eyes. Time seemed to freeze. The seconds melting, the world stopped turning. Draeg moved even closer to the nervous wreck that Krathlor had turned into. Moving over to Krathlor's ear, he whispered "For someone so strong, it doesn't take much to destroy him, does it?"
"N.... No... Master" Krathlor squeaked.
Draeg rose rapidly, a grin growing across his muzzle, which soon turned into a laugh. He pointed at the nervous wreck, who was still shaking and cowering against the wall and laughed hard, doubling over. "Oh... My... GOD!!!!" he bellowed loudly between laughing, "I've never seen someone tremble so much for months!!!!" The dragons around the fire caught on and started laughing too.
"Well done Master! You sure scared him there!"
"Yeah! He was so close to dying!" They all cheered at their master as they laughed. Krathlor started laughing at himself too; slowly realizing it was all just a joke. He turned to look away from the dragons, blushing slightly under his fur. He looked at Greywolfe, who seemed to have drifted off to sleep again.
Draeg, still laughing, picked the wolf up off the floor and dropped him lightly onto his feet. He clapped the wolf on the back laughing harder still, tears forming in the corners of his Master's eyes. "I can tell you're gonna love it here, no matter what we do!" Draeg told Krathlor between laughs. Panting slightly, Draeg calmed himself and looked lovingly into Krathlors eyes. The emerald green eyes were too much for Krathlor. He leant forward and kissed his Master's lips lightly.
Once again, Krathlor felt all his worries melt and he fell forward, hypnotized by his Masters gaze. Draeg caught him and lowered the body to the floor. He went over to the draws, got two pairs of shackles and undid them. He placed them carefully on the floor in front of Krathlor's body. He undid the shackled that attached him to the walls and laid him flat on his back. He lifted a claw and slowly applied pressure at the top of Krathlors throat. Krathlors face strained as he struggled for oxygen, eyelids opening as he looked at his master, unable to move. Smiling, Draeg slowly moved his claw down the wolven body, applying the same pressure as he moved. Krathlor shuddered as his spine sent wave after wave of pleasure rush up and down his spine.
Draeg, still looking at his pets face, saw he was enjoying it. He leant forward, kissing him on the lips, just as Krathlor had done to him. He held Krathlor's wrists together as he bound them, doing the same with his ankles. Lifting Krathlor to his feet slowly, he licked the tip of his ear affectionately, Krathlor giving out a low, loving growl as he was licked. Draeg released the wolf from his spell, watching his conscious self wake from a sleep. Draeg told Krathlor to stand still for a moment. Draeg looked at Greywolfe, who had definitely gone back to sleep. Draeg decided not to disturb him; he was in a good mood, so he saved quite a bit for the sleeping wolf.
Draeg smiled at the sleeping wolf, then gently pushed Krathlor forward, signaling him to move. He invited the wolf to sit next to him and Nago. Draeg cleared his throat, signaling for the other dragons to stop talking. "Friends! I am pleased to say my new pet will satisfy me to no end! I thank Granthor from the bottom of my heart for finding him for me! I have some excellent news! My wife will be joining us for a while, as she has been away on other business!" The other dragons cheered, Krathlor too. "Remember," Draeg added, "She is easily angered by those who disobey her, so be wary of her. Without further ado, shall we get this deer cooking?" he yelled, the other dragons following in suit, Krathlor trying his best to keep up with the dragons. He looked at his master and stopped immediately, fearing for the worst. Draeg simply smiled at the wolf and gave him first servings. Krathlor smiled his thanks to the dragon, knowing he wouldn't be able to match the volume and sat, digging into the deer for the first time, loving the taste and texture. For a bunch of unruly dragons, they sure could cook!
