Happy Birthday Victoria Maiko!

Victoria yawned and smiled as she woke up. She looked at the sun beams coming down to hit her as she lay in bed, and couldn't be happier. Today was her birthday.

The nine tailed kitsune looked around, having hoped, and somewhat expected, to have her two kits tugging on her blanket to wake her. She went into their room, and their cribs were...

... Empty? Victoria shook her head and looked around for Misty; maybe she knew where they were. But... As she walked around the house, Misty was no where to be found. Normally Misty might take them somewhere, but on her birthday? Victoria was a little hurt. But, she shrugged it off. Maybe she was rushing to things. She decided to go out and do something for herself, and set off to go to her favorite comic book store.

As she walked to there, hoping to get herself a gift, she thought about what she might want to buy. Maybe a story on Firefox? She shook her head-- she already had quite a few comics on her. The Incredible Bulk? She shook her head again; she wasn't in the mood for a story about a panda. Inari? She chuckled a bit. Then she smiled; she could always find something there she liked. As she walked into the store, she smiled-- then suddenly frowned. Her heart skipped a beat. Almost all of the comics were gone. The few left were ones that weren't so good, and just about every fur had anyways. She was infuriated, and stomped out of the store.

As she walked out, she took in a deep breath. Maybe seeing something beautiful would calm her. As she walked around town, she decided to go to the floral store. She really wanted to see the sakura flowers. She walked in, and instantly the waff of flowers hit her. She smelled lilies, and lilacs, and lavender... Followed by the scent of every other flower imaginable. As she went towards where the trees with the sakura flowers were, she noticed they were gone. She blinked, unsure of herself-- but the emptyness still stood there. Two sakura trees had been there for the longest time-- even last week! She shook her head a little angerly, and set off to get something to eat.

As she continued to walk around town, she sighed, wondering what the use was. Her birthday was ruined. She just wanted to go home, and collapse on the bed. She turned around and set off towards home. By the time she got there, Victoria was in tears. How could things go this wrong? On her birthday, of all days?

She walked home, opened the door, and her two kits, Lily and Sakura were waiting for her. The two thunderkits tugged on her fur and pulled her into her house, littered with sakura petals. They brought her to the backyard, where Misty was smiling. Two sakura trees were planted there, and, wrapped in ribbon bows, stacks and stacks of comic books stood, waiting for Victoria.

As Victoria looked around, she noticed that a huge feast had been prepared, with just about every type of food imaginable. She smelled various meats, along with the aroma of numerous fruits and vegetables, followed by the faint scent of breads, and as she looked around, the numbers of the varied foods kept growing..

Tears of happiness shed from the kitsune, and the Jolteonmorph smiled, walking up to her.

"Happy Birthday Victoria."
