Vari as a culture view very many things in a different light than their non-Vari sub-species. Such views can be seen throughout their day, and while not overly apparent, one can see them do things differently.

Vari as a whole tend to be fairly reserved as they find conversation with any besides their own restrictive and cumbersome. Non-Vari sub-species tend to have very many topics which they seem to shut away from. The reasons of shunning certain conversations are something the Vari have no concept of, as they find modesty to be a bit of a roadblock. This is not to say that all topic of conversation are immediately open to discuss, but are there for future conversations. Some topics of conversation depend on what part of their circle you fall into. Topic such as sex, relationships, or other personal topics are ultimately up the Vari in question to decide whether you are trusted enough to hold such discussions with.

Vari tend to try to view the non-Vari subspecies as fair though this does not mean as equals or equally. In complete honesty Vari tend to view others that are not Vari as lesser and in some cases plain stupid or lazy. The reason for this is not due to any harshness or even applies to another sub-species as a whole. Vari are trained to remain calm and tend to what needs to get done. Having idle banter or working inefficiently when there is a job to be done is frowned upon in their culture. This is not saying that they do not indulge in having some fun during work, but are able to do so without much degradation to their overall performance.

While emotion plays a major part in every species lives, Vari tend to keep it to themselves. They will not outright tell you if something is bother them or if they are upset, rather they acknowledge the feeling and dismiss it until later, or banish it completely. This is not saying that they are emotionless, rather they do not let emotions such as fear or anxiety overcome them. This is also not saying that they will not act based on an emotion. Love is for example a very strong emotion and is considered sacred by Vari, but also has a much more complicated definition than it does with non-Vari. Love in Vari terms cannot be explained, rather only shown.

While conversing with a Vari can be complicated, it should be noted that one should never lie to a Vari. Vari view lying as an abomination and outright defiance. Not only is it also a disgrace but is also what can end any friendship or relationship. In saying this Vari view half lies or truths even worse. Any Vari would say they would have rather been lied to completely, than told half a lie and half a truth. The reason they view it much worse is presumably because it makes them feel stupid, lost, useless, and inferior.

Feeling inferior is something Vari do not tend to take very well due to the fact that they feel, and most likely are, more capable than most other sub-species. This is not to say they are arrogant or go around flaunting, it has just been observed as an objective fact.

Vari have 4 circles into which friendships or relationships fall into. Ones who are new to a Vari may be placed at a distance in order for the Vari to asses them. They are may receive one worded answers which are very direct, and very curt statements. As one gets to know the Vari more, he will earn more respect and if he chosen to follow the Vari way of culture it will only expedite his progress.

The Outer-Circle is for new ones who are not trusted well. It may also include ones who just wish to be casual friends or co-workers. This circle is also proving ground for those who wish to get close to the Vari and learn more about them.

The Inner-Circle is for ones who have proven to be trustworthy or worthy of earning the Vari's trust. This circle while not having an official time frame often takes many months to be accepted into. The Vari will not outwardly tell you that you have entered the circle, but will rather start talking to you and become more curious of you. Ones in this circle also have the freedom to ask the Vari questions that would be otherwise unacceptable, so long as the Vari gives permission for the question to be asked. The Vari may also be willing to spend time with ones in this circle, and participating in recreational or other activity excluding all yiff or otherwise related based.

The Inter-Circle is a sacred place among the Vari culture, and proving yourself to enter this circle is very challenging and most find it not worth it. Vari in their lifetime will only have a handful of ones who have proved worthy, though many are not seen having more than two. It is not concluded whether there is a set limit on how many may be part of the Inter-Circle but is speculated that a Vari could have as many as they want, though they never comment on the subject. In this circle there are activities, such as yiff, available to ones inside of this circle. If said Vari has a mate but wishes to participate in yiff with you, they will ask their mate. It has never been witnessed of the mate out rightly objecting, but hesitation has been observed. It has also been observed that the mate of the said Vari will also wish to participate in the activity, though no reason why has been concluded. All Vari understand the significance of this circle and the activities and freedom that comes with it. Ones in this circle, while not immune to the laws of the Vari culture, have a great deal more freedom when it comes to communicating or participating in activities with the said Vari.

The Mate-Circle is for the Vari's mate. Not much is known about this circle other than all restrictions seem to be lifted and they communicate freely to each other without hesitation. It has also been observed so far that Vari's only have one mate at a given time

Vari have been witnessed to have a very complex boundaries rule system, and each has their own modification to the base rule set. Below is a list of rules that have been observed thus far:

1) Always ask permission when it comes to personal questions.

A) If request is approved, feel free to ask regarding subject

B) If request is denied, drop subject (No apologies are needed unless you are communicating with a Non-Vari Sub-Species)

2) Ask or Speak in a direct meaningful manner, Do not try to "Soften the Blow" or "Beat Around the Bush"

3) Personal matters are just that. Do not announce the personal issues of your life out loud for all to hear. It is considered disrespectful and is below the Vari culture. However if one of your circle mates are to question you life or otherwise, you may respond if you wish.

4) Do not judge others based on opinions of others or otherwise that are unrightfully so. Personal bias should not alter your opinion on a person or being for any reason.

5) Do not judge others by voice or any means of communication without just cause. Keep objective facts and opinions to yourself so long as they do not directly affect your own being.

A) If such events do come to effect you own being, you are permitted to inform authorities in the matter so long as you have applicable proof on the matter.

6) Do not interact or participate with others judging someone who is absent as it is not a just cause or having any direct affect on your own being.

7) Do not participate with others who choose to complain about their own life or life style. All beings have the free will to be who they want, and their remarks cannot be considered valid.

A) If in the event that the being complaining has gone through a traumatic event, such as having cancer or becoming paralyzed, you are allowed to have sympathy for them so long as Unhealthy Habits or other controllable events did not lead to the cause of their tragedy.

8) If one wishes to discuss plans of their life with you, you are free to interact as you see fit as long as if does not violate one of the following:

A) Do not tell them, or give them suggestions otherwise on how to live their life; however you are free to point out the various effects of their own suggestions to them so long as they are reasonably vague and factual.

B) Avoid any topics that are sensitive to Non-Vari Sub-Species as they will more than often lead into uneasy situations or topics for Non-Vari Sub-Species.

C) DO NOT provide any information which may be false, false, or uncertain at any point or time.

9) Religion in its entirety is not a conversation topic for Vari and should be treated as such. The high standards of Vari culture either exceed or meet what they consider to be the realistic truth or fact. All Vari have been taught lessons from childhood that dictates all their morals and ethics, and therefore all religion which is not theirs is to be disregarded and not discussed in any means or fashion.

A) All Vari are forsaken to capitalize the words "god" "heaven" "hell" "Hades" "jesus" (even if it applies to someone's name), "zeus" "budda" or any deity from any religion regardless of circumstances. (May be capitalized if beginning a sentence for grammar purposes but NOT otherwise)

B) All Vari are forsaken to capitalize holidays associated with religion, such as easter, halloween, and christmas. (May be capitalized if beginning a sentence for grammar purposes but NOT otherwise)

C) All Vari are forsaken to view religious places, such as heaven or hell, in association with right and wrong.

D) All Vari are forsaken to take part in religious activity, such as halloween and christmas.

E) All Vari are allowed to enter places of religion such as a temple or church, including graveyards and ruins, but are forbidden to touch anything of religious significance (such as a cross or a jewish star) and are asked to keep a respectful opinion and distance.

10) No Vari is allowed to in anyway forcefully take a mate from another Vari or other sub-species.

11) Vari must respect the rules of their own boundaries, as well of those who they may communicate to, work with, participate in activities with, etc in this manner.

12) A Vari must respect the rules and regulations set up by a mated pair when conversing or participating in any activities. They must also take extra steps to calculate their own boundaries as well to ensure that no offense is given in any means. A mated pair must also respect a Vari's (alone or not) set of boundaries, though since this is not as easily defined the Vari will usually announce when they are or may be overstepping boundaries and will take precautions to avoid doing so.

13) Vari must not act based on negative emotions such as anger, frustration, sadness, etc, and must not act outright inappropriately based on positive emotions such as joy, pride, etc.

14) A Vari must be able to overcome emotional distress by any means deemed fit. It is understandable however that some emotional distress cannot be overcome immediately and some not at all.
