Poem #39: Memories
#40 of Poetry
A sonnet about the importance of memories. I've always wanted to write a sonnet. This one is Shakespearean style.
Memories
These thoughts might leave I fear,
I hope to never lose;
Thoughts held so dear,
Memories are not whom, but whose.
The truth I will discover,
Always hope to see;
Never I intend to smother,
Honest and devout I'll be.
They become foggy over time,
I wish I had them twice;
To lose them is a crime,
Punishment of losing will suffice.
Their importance is well-known;
Now all my Memories have grown.
