#3 of Mystery Savior

I told my mom about Rendall, and how cute and mysterious he seemed to be while we were driving to Hideaway Pizza. While talking about his looks, I noticed that my mom was very fidgety, and she almost ran a red light. I simply just counted this to the fact that she was frustrated about how the bullies seem to be attacking anyone who gets in the way. She hates bullies just as much as I do.

After we had ordered our food, I noticed that my mom was still anxious. She seemed to be picking at her napkin. I knew that she couldn't still be worried about the bullies; I had finished talking about Rendall before we even got here. "Is something wrong, mom?" I asked.

She replied, "No," a little too quickly. I knew something was up, but I also know my mom well enough that she will eventually tell me what's on her mind. She is as outspoken as they get. It was only a matter of waiting for her to tell me.

However, she seemed to take longer than she usually takes telling me what's bothering her. We sat in silence while eating, save for the occasional "This is good," or "pass me the hot sauce, please." It wasn't until after she had paid for the check and we were on our way home that she said what was on her mind.

"Maybe you should stay home tomorrow," she said, her face in a look of concentration. "In fact, we'll both play hooky and go somewhere fun. You haven't been to the amusement park in a while."

"As much as I would love a day off from school, you know that I can't," I replied. "If they don't see me in school tomorrow, Loki will somehow turn it around and make himself look like the good guy. I won't be there to contradict his story, so people are going to be more accepting of his idea simply because it's been around longer." I've been in my psychology class long enough to know this.

I saw that she still looked rather fidgety, so I went right out and asked her, "What's happening tomorrow?"

"Well, *they* are going to your school tomorrow. The ones who were at your dad's funeral."

My blood ran cold. "Then I have even less choice then I had before," I replied. "I must go."

Mystery Savior Ch. 11

_Note: I do not own the group that will be mentioned in this chapter. If I did, I would probably go insane. That, or kill everyone in this group._ There was only one group of people that my mom would want to protect me from that were at my dad's...

Mystery Savior Chapter 9

_Hideaway Pizza is a place that already exists. I do not claim ownership of this place, nor is anything that I say about it, or even plan to say about it, true._ When we had reached my house, we parted. I had offered to help him with some of the cuts...

Mystery Savior Ch. 8

_This chapter is written from Rendall's point of view. I tried to write it from Beowulf's, but I couldn't get a point across that you will see in this chapter._ "Hey! What's wrong? They didn't hurt you, did they?" I asked, confused. "I didn't see them...
