Cookie Daze
A short story to go with my mate, Darian the Neon Wolves drawing "What Cookies?"

Darian peeked around the corner wall of the hall way into the kitchen. Andy had just walked outside to check the mail, and there was a jar FULL of cookies on the counter, screaming his name. He bit into his lip and heard Andy's echoed voice in his head.
"Now Darian, you stay OUT of the cookie jar!" He whined softly to himself and tapped his foot paw on the floor, watching for her out the window. She was just now getting to the mail box. If he hurried, he'd have enough time to stuff his pockets and run to hid them in their room.
With that he hurried over to the counter, threw the lid, ever so gently, on the table and began to stuff his pockets with the sweet delight of promising cookies. He smiled and suddenly felt as if he'd conqured the world!
Smiling for ear to ear, he absent mindedly began to nibble on the cookies, not thinking about Andy anymore. His ears perked as he heard the door open and cursed himself, feeling his heart rate jump. 'Fuck!' He thought to himself. 'If she finds me like this I'm in deep shit!'
With that, he stuffed what was left back into his pockets and turned around, thinking he was headed for the stairs. He was wrong.......
There stood Andy, paws on hips, tail twitching with obvious annoyance. "No mail today," she said, biting back her tongue, "Care to explain?" Darian smiled sheepishly and shook his head.
"Uhhh....No?" Andy took a single cookie from his pocket and shook it in his face. "What's this huh?" "Uhhmmm.....A cookie?" "Mhmmm....Care to tell me how it got in your pocket?"
Darian let out a sigh of defeat and took the cookies out, one by one, and put them back into the cookie jar. "Now," Andy put the lid back onto the cookie jar, "go upstairs and clean those crumbs out of your fur." He turned glumbly and slowly began his way upstairs.
Suddenly there was a loud smack, and a slight sting in his ass cheek, as he yipped with surprise. "Now Darian!" Andy laughed softly as he whimpered and skipped up the stairs, taking two at a time.
"Maybe next time, he'll stay OUT of the cookie jar."
