No Ordinary Love.
-Josh
"Mommmm! Why not?" The young arctic fox asked his mother
"Because you've just got your licence, you're not ready to drive by yourself and I don't have time to go with you." The older red fox replied. Her muzzle was wrinkled up with streaks of grey hair surrounding it. Her paws were wet still from washing up the dishes after dinner.
"But Mom, I need practice before I get my own car." He whined, making up a false excuse.
"Well Josh, You're not getting a car if you keep nagging me like this. Now go finish your homework and maybe your brother could take you out later."
"But....But he keeps teasing me for going too slow!" He said as his ears lowered and he started walking to his bedroom.
"I'll have a talk with him." He though he heard her say as he was almost there. He walked through the hallway past his brother's door on the left and walked through his own the right. He flicked the light switch on and slumped down at his desk. He opened his maths book once again and roamed through the pages.
His phone buzzed with the name 'Jessica' on the front.
"Ugh, what does she want now?" He flicked it open and answered.
"Hey, Jess."
"Hey Josh, say, want to go to the movies tonight?"
"Not really, I have a lot of homework to do."
"But Josh, it's a Friday, just do it over the weekend."
He knew he could do it over the weekend but doing it now was an excuse to not go with Jessica. Their relationship wasn't going great at the moment, in fact it had got to the stage where he didn't want to see her, he came up with excuses to not go out with her.
"Listen Jess, um, I don't think this is working out too well, um, I think we should see other people."
"Wha... Oh I see, I'm not good enough for you! You always acted like that Josh!
He knew that wasn't the reason but he didn't want to push.
"Bye, Jess."
"**** off, Josh!"
That hurt. He knew he had to let her go sooner or later. He finished up his homework and left to ask his brother if he had any time to bring him out driving. His room smelled weird, not bad, just weird.
"Hey Josh, what's up?"
"Um, would you take me out driving?"
"Haha, no. At the speed you drive we won't be back 'til tomorrow!"
"Ugh, never mind!" I slammed the door shut and stormed into the kitchen, where my mother was nowhere to be seen. I searched the house for her but she wasn't around.
"She must have gone out for a walk" I thought to myself because the car was still outside.
I decided I would take the car out anyway. She'd be a while and I'd be back before her. My brother, James, wouldn't even notice it gone, or he'd think mom took it out.
I climbed into the small VW Foxx, it screeched to life and set off into the street.
-Cody
"How could he do this to me? After all we had together he goes and sleeps with him?!" The young black wolf thought to himself, crying after his break up. He had just walked into his boyfriends -ex boyfriends- apartment to find him in bed with another dude.
I turned a corner down the street when I saw a broken down car. I thought I should help out, I usual would. But I didn't feel like it right now. As I got closer I saw the white fox beneath the hood. Looking at him reminded me of all the times my ex-boyfriend's car broke down. I put my hood up and kept walking.
"Hi, um, could you give me a paw with this please?" A voice said from behind me as I walked by.
"Uh, sure, but I don't know much about cars." I said to him.
"Me neither. But it's my mom's car and she didn't exactly let me take it out." He said with a worried expression across his muzzle.
"Well, what do you want me to do?" I asked as I strolled towards the car.
"Just hold this will you please?" He asked me.
"I'm Josh, Josh Wright. Thanks for the help." He announced.
"Cody, Cody James. So why did you take the car out if you weren't allowed?" I asked him while shaking his dirty paw.
"Um, just wanted to get away...Y'know how it is."
"Yeah, actually my house is two blocks that way." I pointed the direction I was walking from. "I think walks are better for clearing your head."
"Why do you need to clear your head? Something up? I'm a great listener, hehe." He asked me curiously.
"Eh, break-up stuff..." The fox waited for more. "...I just found my bo...girlfriend in bed with another guy."
"That sucks; I just broke up with mine too. It was never working out really. She thought I was going out with a guy and when he moved away I didn't want to see her anymore. I'm not gay. I just...I don't know, we were just great friends I guess."
"Oh, I'm sorry. And for the record, I didn't have a girlfriend. He was my boyfriend." I figured I could tell him now. He didn't seem homophobic or anything so.
"That's cool...No! I mean cool about having a boyfriend. Not breaking up! Whoops sorry."
"Hehe, It's okay. Try starting it now." He got into the car and it eventually started with a rattle.
"Thanks! Hey, do you want a lift?" He asked.
I looked at my watch and it was getting pretty late. "Sure, but I only live down there."
I got into the car and we drove away. The care ride was silent but not awkward really. I gave him directions towards my house.
"Thanks for the ride."
"No problem, hey, eh...could I get your number?" He asked.
"Emmm, you're straight?"
"Haha, yeah I am. But you seem like a cool guy. You were the only person to stop and help me when I asked."
I gave him my number and I got his before he set off.
-Cody
When I got home that night I was pleased to have made a new friend. He seemed like a cool guy, and damn, he was cute. He has my number. Hopefully he will call but it's doubtful. He seemed like a guy that can easily make friends.
"Cody, I'm home!" My dad called as he walked in the door.
"Hey, Dad." I moaned back.
"Something wrong?"
"Um, yeah, well no not really. Me and Mark (my ex-boyfriend) broke up."
"Aww, Cody I'm sorry. I'm sure you'll find someone better soon." Yes, as great as it sounds, my dad knows I'm gay and he's cool about it! He never had any problem with it. My Mom died when I was just a pup. I can't remember her but from what my dad tells me she was the most beautiful wolf around.
"Hope so, Dad. Dinner is in the oven. I made your favourite as usual, steak."
"Thanks, you already eat?"
"Yeah...I'm going to bed, see you tomorrow."
When I got to my bedroom I plugged my phone into its charger. Immediately I searched for a message from Josh. No luck.
I walked over to my computer to work on my homework when my cell beeped. I sprinted to my bed and leaped across it, flipped it open and saw the message from an unknown number.
'Hey Cody, its Josh. Eh, Thanks for helping me out earlier... Hey have you got instant messaging online? If so here's my email [email protected]. I uh, need to talk to you about something... Thanks.'
I was strangely exited when I rolled to the bottom of my bed and leaped to the computer.
-Josh
I was idling on my computer hoping Cody would appear. Maybe he gave me a phony number? It was likely; most of my friend have been avoiding me ever since...ever since I asked Adrian to kiss me. Ah! Why was I so stupid!? I am NEVER going near anything alcoholic again.
[email protected]just added you as a friend--
"Yes!" I thought bouncing in my chair.
Josh: So you gave me your real number huh?
Cody: Is there any reason I shouldn't have?
Josh: Haha, ofc not!
Cody: So what did you want to ask me?
Josh: Eh, it's kind of...personal :/
Cody: Go ahead silly :P I don't bite...usually.
Josh: So...uh...what's it feel like to be gay?
Cody: What? I'm the same as you Josh. It doesn't feel any different.
Josh: No! I didn't mean it like that! Ah, It's complicated, what I mean. Could we meet for a coffee or something?
Cody: Like a date?
Josh: NO! Man, I'm straight! 100%. I just want to talk.
Cody: Haha Josh, I was only messing wit'cha foxy! How about tomorrow around 9?
Josh: Okay cool see you then!
"Josh! Hurry up and help me fix the T.V.!"
"Okay Mom. Uh, could I go for coffee tomorrow? I'm meeting...Eric."
"Ugh, fine. But I'm not giving you a lift and you're not taking the car!"
-Cody
So, there I was, sitting in the arranged coffee shop, waiting for my...date? Well, I'm not sure, but either way he seems like a cool guy.
The clock ticked by. 'I need to get to work soon.' I was thinking to myself when he walked through the doors. The sun was beaming off his white fur. He was wearing a tight black t-shirt and a baggy pair of black jeans. A bit too hot today to be wearing black, in my opinion.
"Hey Cody! I'll be over in a sec, just let me grab a coffee." He indicated, pointing his paw to the counter. I nodded and sat back, drinking my -pretty disgusting- coffee.
"So, what's up cutie? I asked as he sat across from me.
"Don't call me that...but thanks," he blushes, "Well, thing is okay...that, I asked a guy in my class to kiss me. We were very, very drunk, and well...he looked really hot. But he backed away, told me to get the f*ck away, and I did."
"Oh, so...you are gay?"
"Shhh! Keep your voice down. And no...maybe, I could be bi?"
"And, why am I here?"
"Well, you're gay. So I was wondering...Is it worth it? I mean, do people really care that much once you're out?" He asked.
"No, not really. I mean, of course you're going to lose one or two friends. But they weren't really 'friends' if they ditch you because of your sexuality. You're probably better off without them if that's the case. My Dad knows, but he's totally cool with it."
"What about your mom?" He asked.
"Oh, she died. I never knew her. But my dad said she was great, she would have loved me either way." I smiled imagining her.
"Oh, I'm...sorry. So it's worth it then? Cool!" He said, ears perking up, smile widening.
"Yeah, hehe. So you ARE gay then?"
"Bi!" He snarled.
"Oh...sure, for now."
"Whats that meant to mean?" He growled.
"Doesn't matter, I'll tell you some other time. For now though, I have to go to work." I said standing up.
"What time are you finished?"
"Half three, why?"
"Ehm, I know a great pizzeria. Just downtown a bit. Could I pick you up from work today and go for one?"
"Like a date this time?" I asked.
"Maybe, we'll see." He winked and I walked off.
Work down at the music store was the same as ever. Parents buying instruments --mostly guitars--for their children, hoping they would learn. But 80% of them don't. Random furs coming in with their girlfriends, idling through guitars, pretending to know what they're talking about to show off.
Sometimes, just for fun I go up to them and tell them they're wrong, and ask them to play for me. It really embarrasses them.
But today, for some reason I was lost in my thoughts. Thinking about later on with my date with Josh. I don't even like pizza that much, but being with him would be more than enough.
The clock struck half three and I paraded outside to his -his mother's--car. I walked into the lot but there was nobody inside the VW...
-Josh
I arrived at the store Cody works in at 3:20ish. So I decided I would have a look around the shops until he finished.
I parked in the lot and set off down the streets, there weren't many shops around here but one caught my eye, well, my nose at least. It was a flower shop. I never really liked flowers that much but I saw these white roses outside. I decided I would buy them for Cody. Wait...would he think it really is a date if I bring flowers? Well...I guess friends can give each other flowers...right?
Or...maybe it can be a date? I mean, he does like me, and I think he's really cute. I like the way he always flirting, always in a good mood. He could be my little happy-go lucky wolf. Hehe, that made me smile.
When I was walking back to the car, flowers in paw, I saw him sitting on the car. He looked stunning. He was looking the other way so I snuck up behind him and wrapped may arms around his belly from behind.
"Boo!" I shouted.
"Ahh! There you are! Oh, and what's this? These for me?" He asked, smiling.
"Nope, these are for my other cute wolf that I'm bringing on a date."
"Oh really? Well then, maybe you'll get lucky with him tonight?"
"Nah, he doesn't seem like the type." I said, mockingly.
"Shut up! Haha. So, will we get going?"
"Sure." I opened the door for him. "After you." I gestured.
On the way to the pizzeria, we talked about school, future professions and...boys, hehe. When we arrived I parked up.We went inside and got a really nice private table by a window.
The table was lit by candle light. It was like a movie scene, so romantic.
"So, tell me about your family?" He asked.
"Well, you know most of it, tell me about yours."
"Okay, well there's me, my brother, mom and dad. My brother, Ryan is three years older than me. He's...cool I guess. He's a jock really. He's going to collage soon. I don't have much to say about him. Then there's my mom, she's a b*tch. She only ever cared about my brother. He always got what he wanted while I was just left to hope."
"What about your dad?"
"Well, he's never home. He comes back every now and then, like once or twice a month. He works in the army, real tough guy."
"Oh, so they would care if you're gay?"
I put my paw on his leg and leaned across the table to whisper in his ear, "They don't have to know." And kissed him lightly on the lips.
"Wow...that was...was..." He stuttered.
"Hehe, shh. I know." I smiled.
The night went by in a flash. It was so...easy talking to him. And wow, that kiss really got me going. For when I got home I had to put a paw down there.
-Cody
"Hey Cody, why are you home so late?" My dad asked as I came in.
"I...had a date."
"Oh, that's great son. Getting' straight back on the 'ol horse, eh? So, what's he like?" He asked.
"He's an arctic fox. He's about half a foot taller than me. He's really great. His name's Josh Wright." "Aw, well he sounds great. Why don't you invite him over sometime?"
"Ehmm...yeah, yeah maybe I will."
When I got upstairs I immediately went to my computer to see if Josh was online. He wasn't unfortunately. I started browsing through comics online when I got a text message from him.
'Hey, you busy tonight?' Was all it read.
'No, why?'
'I got a plan. How about we sneak out?'
'Hehe, sounds fun. But where will we go?'
'Oh, I know a place.'
I was so excited after our chat.
My Dad fell asleep around 11 or so, thinking I was asleep too. My bedroom was the only one upstairs and his was directly below, but he was a sound sleeper. An earthquake could happen and he wouldn't wake.
It was a warm night, full moon. So I threw on my bomber jacket and thought that was enough. Josh said he would be at mine around 12ish.
I heard a small stone hit my window and looked out to see him. I smiled as he smiled back up and opened the window. I mounted the wall, climbing down. It was surprisingly easy.
"Hey you!" I whispered. "So where are we going?"
"Ah, it's still a surprise. I'll tell you when we get there!"
We walked out of my drive and down the street a bit until we got to his -his mom's- car.
"Wow, how did you get this away without anyone noticing?"
"I took off the brake and rolled it away until it was far enough so nobody could hear the engine, hehe, not my first time, wolfy."
"Wolfy? Nope, you can't call me that!"
"Aww, why not? It sound so cute!" He said.
"Because...I don't know! Just call me Josh."
"Josh-uh-ah." He thrusting his hips back and forth on the 'uh-ah'.
"No! Haha, it's just Josh! Not Joshua!" I laughed.
"Fine." He said as the car took off.
"Still don't know where we're going?" He asked.
"No...why?" I answered.
"Look in the back seat."
I turned around and saw a big leather bag with fishing rods sticking out of the top.
"FISHING!? You're crazy? At this time?"
"Nope, it's better fishing at night. More fish are out." He smiled.
"I've never been fishing." I said, ashamed.
"What?! Serious? Wow, you've missed out. Don't worry, I'll teach 'ya."
"Okay, but I'm going to need A LOT of work.."
When we arrived at a lake my heart dropped, the scenery was something out of a romantic movie. I didn't believe places like these existed. I had never really been outside the town before, that's why I had never seen this place before, but I thought it was all outlands and roads. Wow.
"You like?" Josh asked me, my jaw was dropped.
"No. I love!" I replied.
We set up a few chairs under a tree by the lake and Josh lit a fire. I tried casting my line into the lake a few times but it kept getting caught in the tree.
"Here, let me help 'ya before 'ya hurt someone." He said, placing his paw over mine on the fishing pole. His warm touch tingled through me.
He cast it into the water, no problem. He then sat it down on a stand beside his and sat back against a tree. Me, still standing staring at him grinning.
"What?" He asked, giggling.
"I'm pathetic at this..."
"No you're not, it just takes time to get the hang of things."
"No...I mean all this, all this you have done and I haven't done anything in return." I said.
"Aw, babe, you being here is good enough. No, it's great."
"Josh..."
"Yeah?"
"That sounds so sappy, hehe, but still cute."
I walked over and sat next to him snuggling into him.
-Josh
I woke up a few hours later, Cody asleep, cradled in my arms. It felt so right this way. There's something about him, something, special. I don't know what it is, every time I see his chest rise and fall, his tail swish or his ears twitch in his sleep, it makes me smile, he makes me smile.
I still have one worry though...telling my parents. Or should I? Maybe I could just wait it out until I get to collage? Its only two years away. I think I could wait.
But could Cody? He's already out, and he loves it. I don't think I could take that away from him. Me hiding my sexuality would be just coward.
But then again, me coming out. It could always go wrong for me...then I wouldn't have him at all?...
"What's wrong?" Cody asked, sleepy eyed.
"Huh? How long have you been awake?"
"Long enough to see you stare at my tail for the past 15 minutes. Hehe."
"Damn hehe, I'm sorry, it's a cute tail!"
"Something wrong, Josh?"
"Uhm, Kind of..." I stall to think weather to ask or not. "...what was it like coming out for you?"
"Oh, um...I don't want to talk about it sorry..."
"Oh, okay...that bad huh?.."
"No, well...it was...different."
"Okay...Listen, I'm hungry and I've been listening to your stomach grumble for the past 5 minutes, so want to go get a bite to eat? I think Roy's is open."
Roy's is a small café somewhere between mine and Josh's house.
I really want to find out what happened with Josh. But I don't want to pressure him into telling me. He seems pretty shaken up about it. Anyway, my mind is elsewhere, Valentine's Day is this Monday coming. I really want to get him special...but I haven't got much money.
I arrivied home early the next morning after Cody and I ate. Unfortunatly I wasn't early enough, for when I snuck back in through my bedroom window, my door was open and the light was on. Damn.
I snuck in anyway and put on sweat pants and took off my top, making myself look like I was asleep. I strolled out into the kitchen, sleepy eyed of course.
"Mornin' " I said to my mom, who was cooking breakfast at the time.
"I guess, for me anyway."
"Huh?"
"I know you weren't in last night! Where the hell were you Joshua!?" she yelled. I hate when she calls me Joshua, and she knows that.
"I...um, I was just...out."
"You better not be doing drugs again!"
"Mommm, I wasn't doing drugs before, I swear! I was out with someone."
"Who?" She snapped quickly, not leaving me much time to think.
"A girl, my, uh, girlfriend."
"What's her name?"
"Co-..." I began "...Colly."
"Bring her around sometime then." I was suprised she just left it at that.
"Oh, by the way, you dad's coming home next weekend." She added.
-Cody
When I arrived back early Sunday morning, much to my surprise my dad wasn't there. I went downstairs and I noticed a note on the table.
Hope ya had fun last night, I'll be back for dinner...
Ahh, I love my Dad. He knows I wouldn't sneak out for no reason, and when I did, it's usually a good one.
I went to the kitchen, took my pills, and went back in to watch t.v. when I got an unexpected call from Josh.
"Cody?" He started.
"Hey, you..." I smilled. "...what's up?"
"My mom caught me sneaking out last night. She asked why and...and I messed up and said I was out with my...my girlfriend, sorry."
"I'm not girly, am I?"
"Of course not...well...Anyway, she asked me to invite you -or her-or whoever over next weekend for dinner! What will I do?"
"Well, if I do come over...I'm not going in drag or anything...So either you tell them or just say I can't make it or something."
"But...I kind of want you to meet my family." He admits.
"Really?..Even your mom?"
"Well, no. But it's a package deal. Hehe, why don't I just say you're my friend or something?"
"Well....okay, I guess."
"You guess?"
"Well, you're going to have to tell them sometime. I don't want to be going out with someone who is still closeted, if you know what I mean?" I felt really shallow saying that so I added, "...Well, what I mean is...you can't keep putting it off, I did, and it ended up pretty rough."
"So, you won't be my boyfriend for long then if I don't come out?"
"No, I'm not saying th-...wait...I'm you boyfriend!" Omg, I didn't think he would call me that.
"Well, am I yours?"
"Oh my god yes!" This made me so happy, I know it's just a word, but it's more than that, It's like...we're actually together now.
-Josh
After my call with Cody, I felt strangely happy. Whether it was the fact that we're now 'boyfriends' or because he was okay with him coming to dinner, I don't know. But it felt good.
I also had another problem pushing down on me. Coming out...should I do it? Or should I just wait it out and hopefully Cody will stay with me. If it comes down to it, I would pick Cody any day. Screw my family, my friends and whatever else I might lose. He's worth it. But where would I live if it got bad? Cody's dad sounds pretty cool, but I haven't even met the guy yet, I'm not going to just show up at his doorstep with my tail between my legs. Sigh.
The rest of the week went as usual. School 'til four, homework until six, dinner and then I would call Cody for a few minutes.
What's strange to me is...I don't feel attracted to any other males. Cody seems to be the only one, he's unique. He is my own special extacy..hehe.
The week came and went. It was now Saturday evening, my mom is a little upset that my 'girlfriend' can't come to dinner. She was a little happier though when I told her that a friend of mine is.
Sunday afternoon~
I was nervous, like, really nervous. Well, more anxious than nervous, I don't know. But I couldn't stop my tail from twitching all day.
I was hopping from paw to paw when my father walked in the door. He said little to me, just walked straight by. I don't know why I look up to him so much, when he couldn't care less about me.
Cody was the next to arrive through the door. And oh my god, he was stunning. He was a little overdressed but I guess he was just looking to impress. He was wearing a white shirt with some black patterns on it, along with a lovely pair of black jeans. I know it doesn't sound like much, but he looked like he was on his way to mass, not to dinner, not in my house.
-Cody
I walked up Josh's driveway, wearily. I feel a little overdressed, but I don't know how his family dress for special dinners. Also, there was a large jeep outside that I had never seen before, must be his dads.
"Hey!" Said Josh after I opened the door. His ears were down but I don;t think that was because of me.
"So, your dads here then?"
"Yeah he's in the kitchen, follow me." I followed him into the kitchen, wathing his sweet *** wagging in front of me.
I then saw a 6 foot tall arctic fox. 6 foot is strangly tall for a fox, he also had a huge frame. Usually fox's aren't in the army. Mostly stags, lions, tigers and other large furs join.
He looked at me for a split second and then away. Dinner was ready soon after and we all sat down. To my suprise Josh's mom started saying grace! -I know right!
"So Cody, do you know Josh's new girlfriend?" His mom asked.
"No...sorry."
"Oh, okay. Do you have a girlfriend?"
"Uh, no, I'm gay actually." Whoops...
-Josh
Oh go, did I just hear him right? I tell him I don't want to come out yet because I don't know how my parents would react, and what does he do? He comes out to them, instead of me!
Wait, I wonder if he is only doing this to see what reaction he gets? No...he knows better than that.
"Oh...okay then." Says Dad...What!?
The rest of dinner was pretty quiet, Cody commenting on how great dinner was...when it really wasn't.
After we had finished dinner Cody and I asked could we go upstairs.
"Yeah sure...well, Josh could you come into the kitchen with me for a minute please?"
"Uh, yeah..."I turned to Cody, "...I'll be up in a min, okay?"
I strolled into the kitchen cautiously.
"Josh, sit down."
"Yeah mom?" I asked when I was seated.
"About...your friend's sexuality..." She paused.
"Yeah, whats wrong?"
"What do you think of it?"
"Well, I think it's cool...why?"
"Well, I have high hopes for you Josh...and me and your Father feel that...that you shouldn't be friends with his type anymore."
"No! You know damn well that I won't do that!"
"You will do what we tell you Joshua!
"No mom! So what if he is gay?!" I said a little too loud.
"I don't care about him being gay Cody! As I said, I have high hopes for you!"
"So I won't do well in life if I am gay?"
"Are you?"
"What difference would that make?"
"Joshua! Answer me!" She shouted.
"I...Yes!...Fine there I said it! You happy now?!"
"Just wait until your father hears about this!" She said.
"Go ahead, tell him! See if I care!"
She told him, and I guess he didn't take it any different. They told me to tell Cody to leave...
"Hey babe! What was all that about?"
"I...uh, I told them, eveything..." I sarted crying.
"Oh...Come here..." He hugged me "...I guess they didn't take it well, huh?"
"No...they...they said you have to leave, and that we can't see eachother anymore, a-and that they thought better of me, and that..."
"Shhh, babe, it's going to be okay, we'll figure it out." He said.
"No, it's not Cody! I-I just can't leave you! I wont let that happen, they can't..."
"We will figure it out babe, we can just sneak aroud, they don't have to know."
"No...that's not fair! I...I love you Cody! I dont want to sneak around, I want everyone to know how muchlove you!"
"Josh! Is he gone yet?!"
I ignored her. "Could I stay in your house tonight?...Please?"
"Of course you can, but Josh, listen, you don't want to abandon your family, you can sort this out, we can sort it out."
"They abandoned me Cody, they don't love me for me....I don't think they will either...they want me to change, they want to change me."
"Joshua! He has to go!" Mom shouted
"Maybe I should just.." Cody Started
"No...follow me." I said
I opened the bedroom door and started creaking down the stairs, tail between my legs, paw in Cody's and my head held high for what I was about to do. My Father's expression when we walked into the sitting room was unforgettable, he almost fell backwards off his chair in disgust.
"Josh, what is he doing here?" He growled.
"If he goes...th-then I go too!" I replied.
"Fine then! No son of mine is a faggot!"
"How can you say that?! I'm your son, what's the difference?"
"No! Faggots are wannabe girls, jus' lookin' for some jock the can climb onto!"
"F*ck you!.....Fine, if that's what you think of me I will leave!"
"You can't leave, I already kicked you out!"
I stormed out the door in disgust, dragging Cody behind me.
-Cody
We strolled together all the way from his house. He was really annoyed, when I reached for his paw he pulled straight away. A few steps away from my house though, he stopped suddenly and stared at my house. his eyes were watering and his tail was twitching nervously.
"Josh, what's wrong?"
"I...I'm so sorry Cody, I've been a total ***. I mean, here you are, giving me a place to stay and I won't even hold your paw! I..." He said.
"Babe, you staying here, in my home, this is the second best thing thats ever happened to me!" I said.
"What's the first?"
"Meeting you!" I poked his nose.
"Awww!" He lifted me up in his arms and kissed me! It was great!
We walked in my front door, me in front of him, I think he was a bit cautious coming into my house, seeing as he has never been here before. My father was sitting on the sofa, which was facing towards the TV.
"Hey Cody." He said, waving back without even glancing to see if it was me.
"Eh, dad? I told you about Josh right?"
"Yeah..." He turned around. "...Oh! Hey, pleasure to meet you Josh." He shook Josh's paw.
"Oh, same to you, sir." Josh said to dad.
"So dad, uh, well...Josh needs a place to stay tonight and I was thinking..."
"Of course he can stay! But...the spare room isn't set up very well, so I guess you two will stay in your bedroom Cody. But only for tonight!" He winked.
"Oh, thank you so much sir!" Josh squeezed into the conversation.
"Oh cut that crap already, call me Mike." He smiled.
"Okay, and thanks again...Mike."
"No problem, well, you look pretty scuffed up. I'm sure Cody had some clothes you can fit into. Then I think you boys better get some sleep, you look tired."
"Okay." We both chorused.
"Use protection!" He yelled as we were walking up the stairs.
So I think we all know what the two boys done that night, hehe. I'd like to say they lived happily ever after, but I guess we'll never know. All we do know is that Josh came to terms with his sexuality and Cody ...well Cody got an amazing boyfriend...and some sex J
So what I want to say is, no matter how hard some things seem to get, you can always pull through, never give up.
The End.
