Chapter 1
(by HuskieWolf)
It was 2 a.m. Josh woke up with a thumping head-ache. "God damn it, not again."He thought as he rose from his king sized bed. He heard the light clattering of rain against his window. He grumbled under his breath. As he walked down to the hallway to his kitchen, he passed his living room. The faint glow of a small lamp in the corner reflected of his face. "Ugh..." He walked over and turned it off and as he did he caught a glimpse of a shadow in the house across him. He checked the clock on his wall. He realized who it was. 2 a.m. was normally Marks bedtime. After standing still in the darkness around him, Josh realized that the pain in his head had gotten worse. He slouched over to the kitchen ,took an aspirin and went back to bed.
What Josh taught was another piercing headache was actually his alarm clock. He hit the top of it which seemed to work. After a few minutes to plan his day, he got up and headed for the bathroom where he took a shower. When he stepped out he looked at himself in the mirror. Josh was a 5th 11inch Husky. His fur was snow white with the exception of the red Tribal pattern that ran from his neck, all the way to his sheath. It was his defining feature. He wasn't muscled nor was he skinny. He has mid length hair which he died black, and piercing blue eyes. He snapped out of his own gaze when he heard his phone ring. "Who the hell..." he ran out to his bedroom, naked, and picked up his phone. "Mark" he said with a smile. Josh has been bi most of his life, but the only people that knew were his parents. When he hooks up with men, it's usually at their place. He never brings them home. Not with Mark around. After months of denial he finally concluded that he was falling in love with his childhood friend. But he could tell Mark. He didn't want to ruin the friendship they had. After realizing that he had drifted off and missed Marks call, he rang him back. "Sup Mark?" "Not much bro. You up for bowling today?" "Yeah Yeah, sure." "Alright then. It's a date!" Mark was laughing on the other end of the phone. Josh just played along. God he wished it were a date. "I'll see ya' down there a 3. Ok Josh?" " Yeah sure. See ya' then bud." He put down the phone and let out a heavy sigh.
