It was a stormy, cold winter night. The snow is falling down from the sky and drew some pictures into the night. A house, near a forest was lighted. Normally the people around this place would be asleep already. But... a cry cut the cold night air. Nervous horses were neighing and tapping on the ground in their stables. When someone came near the house he or she would have listened to the cry outs that came out of the house.
A young woman laid on a bed, legs spreads wide and a doctor sat in front of her. A man stood next to the woman, holding her hand and talking to her, calm words to calm her down. He wasn't much older than his wife. The woman cried out another time and then there was a little cry to hear. A baby was born. A male baby fox/wolf hybrid was born. Grey fur, brown little hair at it´s head and icy blue eyes.
"We need a name for him." Said the male wolf who's name was Arkon to his wife. She was a female fox and her name is Dawn. Dawn, who has now her son on her arms, looks him over and nuzzles him gently. "Athest... I want to name him Athest..Athest Nox.." She said in a soft voice and looks to Arkon, who nodded shortly. "Yes, that's a good name...Athest Nox..."
Some miles away, in a cave where it was hot and every snow melted sat a Phoenix in a huge birds nest. When the little man was born the Phoenix woke up abruptly and it became hotter in the cave. Something had changed with this birth. The Phoenix could feel that. But what...?
5 years later. Athest was a little pretty boy in the village and all of the girls ran after him. His father taught him how to fight with a wooden sword first and wanted to teach him with a real sword later on. In another Stormy winter night, snow was falling and Athest was asleep in his own room. He had a dream. A Phoenix appeared in his dream. Telling him that something has changed. He was the point. He has to change the land. Then the Phoenix disappeared and the boy saw a White Dragon, making itself big in front of him and roaring. Fire came out of it´s mouth and then the dream ended. He woke up."What the hell was this?" he asked himself.
The same time a little dragon hatchling had a bad dream and snuggled against the mothers side. "Nightmare?" The big black dragon female asked and reached down to the hatchling. The hatchling nodded and whimpered, hiding under its mothers impressive wings.
Athest was surprised for some days. He also decided to talk to the druid in their village. Telling him about this dream, that he saw a Phoenix and then a white big Dragon that roraed at him and seemed like it was angry at him. "Oh, that is not a good sign young warrior...Not good.." The old man said and shook his head. "This Dragon will be your end young man." He told Athest. "But you have to go and be a Warrior.. Some men will come and will ask you to come with them to be a warrior, a knight. Go with them it will be your career."
Athest was shocked. A dragon will be his end? This can´t be...
