By the time Silnis had calmed down enough to stand, we walked out of the movie theater to a sunny sky. There were a few gray clouds left but nothing that would cause another storm. Silnis had his arms wrapped around mine, walking close to me as we went back to his house. I had a smile on my face as I remembered that sweet and tender moment we had in the theater a while back. Silnis had said he liked me and that was good enough for me. Still, when I kissed him, I was expecting him to hit me but I was surprised when he pulled my head forward, wanting more. I had a feeling that we were more than "just friends" now.
"What are you smiling about?" Silnis asked me, noticing the constant grin on my face.
"Nothing, except that I got to kiss the most beautiful and sexy wolf in the entire world," I said, nuzzling him, "And he also said that he liked me," He blushed when he heard that I called him beautiful and sexy, his tail wagging happily without him noticing.
"Are you just saying that or do you really mean it?" Silnis asked.
"I really mean it," I answered, giving him a peck on the cheek. His blush turned deep red and his tail wagged happily even more as he gave me an affectionate lick. "Looks like someone is starting to warm up to me. Does this mean we're...you know...going out together?"
"To you we're going out together, but to me we're just good friends," he said, grinning.
"I don't know, it seems like you want us to be boyfriends but you're really just trying to hide it," I assumed.
"Who says I'm trying to hide it? I'm being completely honest with you!" he argued, giving me an irritated look.
"No you're not," I said, moving my face closer to his.
"Yes I a-," I cut him off with another kiss to the lips, making him forget about what he was about to say. I pulled him tighter to me as he was quickly absorbed into the kiss, our tongues playing around with each other's. I broke the kiss and gazed into his beautiful silver eyes, shining like the full moon.
"No you're not," I repeated, giving him my own lick.
"Fine, I admit it. Being your boyfriend doesn't seem all that bad, but I just need some time of getting used to falling in love again," he confessed.
"I can take it slow, besides, it shouldn't be too hard helping you fall in love with me," I said, leaning in for another kiss. "I just love the taste of you. Makes me want to kiss you forever and never leave that mouth of yours,"
"Sorry, but my mouth has a time limit. You're just gotta have to get used to it if you're going to be with me," he joked, wrapping his arms around me and pressing his lips against mine. I just loved him so much.

"Mom, I'm home!" I shouted just as my mom came running at me, tackling me in a tight hug.
"Silnis, I was so worried when it was thundering and you hadn't come home yet! I was going to call the police department to go find you!" she said, crying onto my shirt.
"Mom, it's okay! Markus was with me so you didn't have to worry," I reassured. She looked behind me at Markus, giving her a smile, before noticing that we were holding hands. She immediately squealed, now focused on why we were holding hands.
"You're both holding hands!! OMG is this real!! Better yet you're not yelling or throwing things at him!!" my mom screamed at me, literally jumping in joy. Aaron came downstairs with Jack and Alicia, wondering what was with all the screaming, and also noticed that we were holding hands. He smirked before giving a thumbs up at Markus, a silent conversation going between them.
"Hey, bro, looks like you finally got yourself a boyfriend," Aaron said, chuckling. Markus decided to show off his love for me by coming up behind me, wrapping his arms around me, and playfully biting my neck. My mom squealed again as Markus got more intimate with it, going as far as trying to make out with me.
"That's enough now Markus! You're going a little too far!" I told him, pushing him off me.
"I was starting to have fun...," he complained, whimpering playfully. I saw a flash and looked at my mom who had a camera in her hands, snapping pictures of us together.
"Mom, had you been taking pictures of that!" I exclaimed, knowing what my mom would do with those photos.
"Oh, relax sweetie. Besides, you two make a cute couple! I'm just going to share these with a few close friends and maybe some relatives," she said, giving me her don't-worry-about-it smile.
"Big brother, is that your boyfriend?" Jack asked, looking at me innocently.
"Umm...umm...," I was blushing as I didn't know what to say. I looked at Markus who was giving me a sly grin, knowing that I was stuck with only one answer now that it was obvious to everyone. "Umm...yes...he is my boyfriend," My little brother and sister both giggled, seeing me blush even more.
"I'll be leaving now Silnis. My parents would be wondering what's taking me so long just to get home," Markus said, about to leave for the door when I stopped him.
"Wait! I want to give you something for being there with me when it was thundering," I ran upstairs, grabbing the bracelet from my nightstand and ran back downstairs, placing it in Markus' hand, "I want you to have this. It was Luke's but I think you deserve it after helping me through the thunderstorm. Take it as a reminder that you've got someone to love, me," Then, I saw something I thought I never would see Markus do, he cried. Tears were falling from his eyes as he grabbed me and pulled me in for a tight embrace.
"Thank you," he said, needing only those two words to show how much he appreciated my gift.
"No, thank you for being there for me, and showing me that maybe love isn't lost to me," I told him, giving him a small peck to his cheek.
"I'll wear this everyday wherever I go, just so I know that I have you to love," he promised, giving me another kiss before heading out the door, "See you tomorrow then?"
"Sure, I'll be waiting," I said, waving goodbye as the door shut behind him and he disappeared out of sight. I gave a content sigh before turning to my smiling family, witnessing the whole thing. I just gave them a nod before heading up to my room, knowing that I broke my vow but not giving a care in the world. I had a feeling that tomorrow was going to be one heck of a day for me.

I lay on my bed, admiring the beautiful piece of jewelry that was wrapped around my wrist. It was a simple silver chain with an added moon charm, simple yet beautiful nonetheless. I couldn't believe that Silnis gave me this as a reminder that he was the only person I loved. I loved everything about him, from his voice to his personality. I loved the feeling of his soft silver fur between my hands, his vanilla-like scent, and those sparkling silver eyes that shined like the full moon. His voice was that of an angel's, sweet and soft. I also loved how he was so cute and sweet whenever he was himself. I decided that I should give Silnis a gift as a reminder that he had me to love. But what kind of jewelry did he like?
"Markus, it's time for dinner!" my dad called.
"Coming!!" I shouted back, heading downstairs. I sat down at my usual spot as my mom slid a piece of steak on my plate, scooping in a spoonful of corn and carrots also. I immediately dug in, going for the steak first.
"What's that around your wrist Markus?" my mom asked, noticing the bracelet that Silnis gave me.
"Oh, a friend of mine gave it me. Says it's a gift of thanks," I explained, careful not to mention anything more than that.
"Thanks for what?" my father asked, taking a bite out of his steak.
"Well...he has brontophobia...and I was with him earlier when the storm came. I stayed with him until he calmed down enough, then I brought him back home," I explained.
"Aww...that was sweet of you dear. I'm proud of you," my mom said, giving me a proud smile.
"You did a good thing son. I'm proud of you too," my dad chimed in, patting me on the back. Yeah, you're proud of me now, but what will you think if I told you he was my boyfriend?
"Is he a close friend?" my mom asked.
"Umm...yeah...he's a close friend," I answered. Yeah, he was a "really" close friend.
"What's his name?" she added. I almost choked on a piece of carrot, her question surprising me. Should I tell them? What if they knew him and found out that I've been hanging out with a gay guy? Would they find out that I was gay? I glanced down at the bracelet and thought about Silnis. What would he do? I looked up at the waiting eyes of my parents who I've known and trusted ever since I was born. Should I tell them and go through all the shame and hate? Yes...I should...for Silnis.
"Silnis Hearthglen, that's his name," I told them, waiting to see what their reaction would be. My mom pondered the name and then suddenly recognized it.
"You mean Silnis Hearthglen as in Heather Hearthglen's son?" she asked. I just simply nodded my head, waiting for the screaming and words of shame.
"Poor boy, had his heart broken by that bastard tiger. If he were my son I'd talk to that tiger's parents and make them beat some sense into him," my father said, shaking his head in disappointment. I couldn't believe what my dad had just said. He was okay with having a gay son?
"Yeah, I heard from Heather that he's been going through a lot of change lately. First he was acting all tough and all that but now he's starting to change back to his usual self," my mom added in, her phone suddenly ringing for a message. She went over to grab it and suddenly had a look of awe on her face as she walked back to the table with her phone.
"What mom?" I asked, trying to look over at her phone.
"It's Heather. She sent in some photos of you two showing off your love. Don't you two look cute together?" she explained, giving me the phone to look at. I looked at the photos that Silnis' mom had taken of us earlier, surprised to know that our moms were friends.
"Let me have a look," my dad asked, me handing the phone to him.
"How long have you known Silnis' mom?" I asked my mom.
"We've been friends since middle school. We also work at the same place," she told me, remembering the good old days.
"Your mother is right. You two make a wonderful couple," my dad complimented, handing my mom's phone back to her.
"And here I was thinking that you two would start yelling at me and disown me as your son," I said, chuckling.
"Oh sweetie, we would never do that!" my mom reassured. "We'll love you no matter what! It's our duty as your parents to love you unconditionally," I looked over at my dad, waiting for his answer.
"Your mother took the words right out of my mouth son. We'll support you as long as you're happy with what you're doing," he said, giving me a warm smile. I couldn't help but give each of them a big hug, happy to know that they accepted me.
"Thanks, you guys are the best," I said, my mom trying her best not to cry.
I went back up to my room after dinner, stripping down to my briefs as I got in bed. Tomorrow was Saturday and I was planning on giving Silnis the date of his life. One that he would never forget and always treasure.
