On the trail to Zion: A Rat's Tail

It's been a long time since I last wrote down my thoughts, hopefully I my writing abilities have not diminished over the years. I decided to write this journal after my most recent convalescence. I write this journal as an attempt to stave off the boredom when I cannot sleep. I will start by saying that it came as a surprise though not an unwelcome one, when I found that the poor creature I freed, that was about to be sacrificed all those years ago was none other than Zeke. What would be the chances? It is as if the great goddess Tah'Aveen had arranged our reunion. As if we were characters in a story.

I am happy he remembers me, though it also saddens me to see that Zeke fears the sickle moon aspect of Tah'Aveen. Like I explained to Zeke "Tah'Aveen grants her followers many abilities, but none of those blessings are dark". Though his courage when Narissa was captured was admirable, everyone's courage was admirable. I am happy to say that Narissa was safely rescued, before that though she did a bit of rescuing herself and saved us the trouble of having to fight the black Hart.

I believe this will be it for now, as the birds are beginning their dusk chorus, both ominous and beautiful, easing my passage into slumber. Every creature in the wild lands is made to survive in the harshest of terrains, and non have adapted with more grace than the birds, though their cold majesty, and sometimes sentient like cruelty may chill the blood in our veins
