As I watch

There I stood, heart broken forever.

You turned around and walked away,

Leaving me wondering why.

Why did you just end this?

Everything was going so well,

The love we shared was grand.

As I watch you walk away,

The tears begin to come.

Each step you take,

Another one falls.

The love we shared now gone,

And the pain of losing you,

Grows with each step you take.

Why must I be here again?

What did I do wrong this time?

Where did our love go wrong?

When will I be able to smile again?

Who is to blame for this ending?

Questions run through my mind,

Hoping that my heart will find an answer.

As I watch you walk away,

I feel the world grow dark and grey.

Lord, help me to get the strength to move on.
