War Within

He lined up his aim and he couple feel each beat of his heart; hear every breath he took as his mind gets ready to lake the lethal shot. He took one deep breath and pull the trigger. The sound of the Remington seven hundred bullet traveled throughout the city and he watch as his target fell to the ground.

He pulled back the lever and watch as the empty shell jumped out and landed by his right arm. He smiled and stood up, and turned around, before someone called him on the radio.

"Sergeant Subi, were are you?"

Subi grabbed his com link and held it close to his mouth, "I just killed their Sargent, I will meet you and the rest of the squad at the rendezvous point."

"Yes sergeant Subi. And sir?"

"What is it private?"

"Why are we doing this again?"

"This isn't the time and place to talk about that, I will tell you at the rendezvous point."

"Understood, Delta out."

With that, Subi quickly worked his way off the roof and flew close to the ground, making sure he stayed out of view of any snipers. Subi is a dirty white dragon with lots of small but sharp purple lines cutting across his body. He was about five feet, four inches, with long black hair, that he tied in a poly tail with a red bow holding it together.

He flew quickly and stealthy, making sure he stayed in the shadows. He could see the rendezvous point and he stop flying and landed softly in the shadows and walked to the hideout, the now abandon warehouse.

Subi silently walked inside the warehouse but notice the lights were off. "Guess they aren't here yet."

Subi turn on the lights and turned around, but as he turned around, he was smack across the head before falling to the ground unconscious.

~Delta~

"Where is he? He wasn't that far from here, he should be here by now."

"Relax, it Sargent Subi we are talking about. If he got into trouble, he can get out of it fast."

"What makes you so sure Felix?"

"Because I been in his group for years, he can defend himself."

"Just because he been in the military for years?"

"First he a dragon, and second, he the youngest sergeant major we ever had. He proved himself thousands of times. He can't fail, and won't fail."

"So, what if something happened to him Felix?"

"Fine, we will contract him on the radio. Those that makes you feel better Stephan."

"Yes, now called him."

Felix grabbed his com link and called for Subi. "Sergeant major, where are you?"

There was no response, just dead silence. Felix tried again and waited for a minute but still got no response.

Stephan walked up to Felix, "Well?"

"There no response."

"Get a hold of his coordinates, we are going after him."

"Right away."

~Subi~

Subi stirred and slowly lifted his head. He opened his eyes but he vision was blurry. He could feel himself be bound at the feet and arms, to the roof and the floor. He tail was bound to his right leg, he tried to break free but the chain were to strong for him to break free of them.

The sound of the chain woke up the guard, that was suppose to be watching him. The guard smiled and walked up the Subi, keeping most of himself in the shadow.

"Well, well. Look who finally awake."

Subi quickly moved his head up and stared at the stranger in the shadow. He growl softly while looking at the shadow straight in their eyes.

"You can growl all you want, you aren't going to intimidate me."

"What do you want?" Subi demanded, as he tired to break free of the chains again.

"Nothing really. Just, you, and your squad to leave or else we will kill you all."

"You will never be able to kill us."

"That what you think, I have this whole place rig to blow, and I know your squad coming here to save you. Now with that, I'll be on my way. Bye Subi, it been 'nice' getting to meet you."

The shadow left the building and as soon as he left, there was a faint beeping coming from behind Subi. Subi tried to break free of the chains but wasn't able to do so with just pure strength. He looked around to see if he can grabbed anything close by that would help him get out. He looked up and saw that the roof wasn't very tall and that he could almost reach it with his horns.

Subi thought for a minute and then looked up at the chain and blew ice onto the chains to weaken them. With that, he yanked on the chain and broke them off easily. He smiled and then blew ice on the chains that held his feet. Being an ice dragon, the cold temperature around his feet didn't bother him at all.

Once the chain was frozen, he opened his wings and flew up into the roof. The chain broke with a loud shatter and he smiled as he felt his tail being free of their resistance. He could hear the beeping quicken, getting faster and faster with each second. Subi quickly looked around and say a M16 in a weapon cage, that was lock.

Subi used his ice breath again and quickly broke the cage and grabbed the gun along with an ammo clip. Within seconds, he flew out the door and quickly made his way down the alley until heard the building blow up, and the blast wave was so powerful that he fell down to the ground from the shock.

Subi groaned and slowly stood, as he strained his ankle from landing wrong. He had to make sure not to put any weight on his right leg since he strained his ankle. He was about to take off when he saw officer running towards him. Subi quickly looked up and blew out shadows, to keep the whole place hidden.

He quickly and silently moved to the wall and watch as the officer enter the shadows. He counted five of them and he carefully time for the officer to get closer to him without them knowing. He put up his M 16 and then waited until they were about fifth-teen feet away and then he shot one in the hand, which made them all pull the trigger, not aiming at all. Subi laid on the ground the second he shot the gun and watch at the killed themselves.

He say one guy still alive and was still shooting randomly. Subi used his ice breath to freeze him down within seconds and then Subi got up, and limped his way up to the ice solider. He gentle poke him and watch him fall down to the ground. He open his wings and flew off again, trying to hurry to the warehouse, where he hope his squad was.

He stayed high in the air, looking for Felix, an arctic fox, and Stephan, a doberman, on the roof tops. He keep looking around for them, but was interrupted when he was shot on his left wing, and then shot again, causing Subi to fall down to the ground.

He groaned as he landed hard on top of the roof before he end up rolling off and landing on the floor. He struggled to get back up and his vision was even more blurry than when he woke up. He slowly crawled his way to the wall and slowly stood up, using his tail to lean on, for support since his right leg was strained.

Once he was finally up, he opened his wings and tried to take off but the two holes in his right wing was causing him too much pain to fly. Slowly put his right leg against the ground, and although it did hurt him, it was far less then the pain from his wing. He tried walking, and he limped slightly but he was still able to move around. He looked up at the sky before he started his slow journey to the warehouse.

He walked his way through the alley, keeping the M 16 he had in his arms. He looked around carefully, making sure he didn't find himself walking into a gun barrel. Everything seem fine until he heard guards running only about forty meters behind him.

Without thinking, he ran while grinding his teeth, so he wouldn't think about the pain from his leg. However, he wasn't fast enough and the guards caught up to him. They pinned him against the wall, and Subi had no choose but to surrender. He dropped the M 16 and put his hands up in the air.

Subi closed his eyes, knowing the end was near. He could feel that same feeling he got when he was sniping. He breathing quicken as well as his heat beat. He could feel his sweat slowly climbing down his head, and he could feel the unbearable pain coming from his wing and right leg. Seconds later, the sound of ten guns firing echoed throughout the city followed by a loud thud.
