Chapter 2:
An Act of Complete Vengeance
Year:2552
Location: Morgan Industries Apartments, Room #386
The wolf walked into the open door of the apartment to find a party full of underage teens and delinquents diving into the obscene. The sight only fueled his rage even more. He reminded himself to keep his calm and continued to walk amongst the denizens of the party to find an empty seat. Upon sitting down, a female fox decided to test her luck with him. She pretended to be the only one not involved with anything going on, which made the wolf shoo her away from him since he hated liars especially those with the stench of their impending doom hanging around them like the stench of a decaying corpse. Then, among the throng of all the party-goers, he saw his target of redemption and vengeance. A lone coyote that had at least three underage girls cooing and rubbing against him at a table across the room. The coyote seemed to take advantage of the fact that the girls were obviously intoxicated with alcohol and drugs, but this nearly threw the wolf over the edge. His eyes, if able, would've turned red in anger.
The wolf stood up and was about to walk over to the table just to put a bullet in between the coyote's eyes, when a police officer came in through the door and started yelling for everyone to get down or get out. The delinquents and underage teens all run out as fast as they possibly could leaving the cop, coyote, and wolf sizing each other up. The wolf now knowing that his chance was now gone started heading through the door and kept an eye on the cop as he was walking out, making sure his hat hid his face in darkness. A flood of recognition riddled the cop's brain as she remembered seeing the hat somewhere before stated in amazement, "Narsis!?, I thought you were dead!?" The wolf now obviously searching his memory for a hint as to who the voice belonged to, but failed in his attempt and continued to walk away. The cop looked back to the coyote and handcuffed him while giving him his Miranda Rights then followed after the wolf with the coyote in tow. When she reached the corridor, she didn't see the wolf, now known as Narsis, at all.
The wolf walked out of the apartment complex and continued to proceed to the nearby mag-rail train station. While he was walking, a flood of memories filled his mind making him hold his head and stumble slightly from the sudden rush of information. The pedestrians nearby looked at him as if he were a drunken idiot, but they didn't know the dangers he presented. When the flood of memories stopped, he looked back at the cop car that now seemed to creep closer to where he was standing. He concentrated on it and saw who was inside. The same cop that had busted the coyote was now looking right at him with a look of confusion and sorrow. The wolf stopped concentrating on the car and proceeded to leap onto a nearby building. The few people around looked up in amazement, but continued about their night.
Upon landing on the roof of the building, the wolf heard the faint whisper of his supposed 'name', "Narsis...Narsis..." The wolf caught off guard began to look around, when he was pierced with what look like a Celtic spear. Unaffected by the weapon, the wolf stepped forward and kick-spinned around to try and hit whoever was behind him only to see a demonic character. Whatever it was looked closely like the wolf himself, and the wolf asked coldly, "Who are you?" The creature only laughed wickedly and replied, "Why, I'm you. But only you can see me, for now." The wolf looked closely at his 'other' personality and leaned his head to the left to get a better look at the claws and talons of the feet and hands of the beast. The creature proceeded to lick at the black blood on the tip of the spear that pierced Narsis earlier and seemed to savor the taste, "Ahh...The taste of the cursed blood that runs through your veins. And I bet you know that your cursed with being in the state you're in, especially after you died such a horrendous death." The wolf's ears perked up slightly and asked, "I died..?"
The creature nodded and proceeded to reply, "Yup. Now you're gonna be my little pet who runs Death's errands, hence the fact that you slaughtered those thugs mercilessly except for the female. She wasn't on Death's list, well not now at least." The wolf chuckled at the thought without much resistance from his conscience, which didn't surprise him at all. The creature stepped towards the wolf and said, "Now, your name is Narsis. A member of the Demonfang family, which is renowned for have 'ghosts' come back and slaughter those that have done the family wrong. You're first assignment is to kill the coyote that you wanted to put a bullet into without thought and to kill his escort, the cop." The wolf clenched his fists and replied, "The coyote I'll kill but the cop lives." The creature laughed chillingly and retorted, "Were it so easy."
After the creature was done speaking, it waved it's hand and the wolf moved involuntarily towards the edge of the roof to look down upon the cop car now fully parked in front of the building. The street was eerily silent and empty without any pedestrians at all. The wolf suddenly jumped down on to the roof of the car and pulled out his fully automatic Desert Eagle only to riddle the coyote with three-fifty-seven shells. The cop lept out of the car to aim her pistol at the wolf, but froze upon seeing bright red runes pulsating along his arms. The wolf in the blink of an eye, kicked the cop which sent her flying through the air. When she landed on the ground, she was staring up at the barrel of the wolf's Desert eagle.
The sound of a shot rang out through the air, making some crows fly off from the nearby rooftops and all was silent.
