Sheer Turmoil Utter Peace Chapter 6
Here is chapter six, still got some ideas floating around in my head, but I think that if I can get them down on paper and edit from there I think I can get a better handle on where this story goes from. But input from others is always welcome, anyway, I do not own pokemon, zoroark, or any other copyrighted figure, but Kenshi, Sherro (deceased), Toshi, and the others are mine.
Chapter 6
(Toshi POV)
"He can't be dead, he can't be!" Toshi whispered through the shock. "He's not the one who's suppose to be dead, it was suppose to be ME!" He threw back his head and roared, the full realization of what happened bearing down upon his heart. His best friend died in his arms, and there was nothing he could do about it. Cradling Sherro's head in his lap he rocked back and forward softly crying nuzzling his friends lifeless face, whispering for him to come back. Toshi stopped rocking when he heard the sound of clapping and turned around looking for the source.
"What an excellent performance Toshi, I never pegged you as an actor, but then again I never pegged you for a lot of things." Said Tom as he left the shadows making his way towards the kneeling Toshi.
"You bastard! Why would you do this!? What reason would you have to kill him, huh!?" Toshi roared as he jumped up and retreived his sword from the ground. Tom was about to say some smart-ass comeback but Toshi cut him off. "No I don't want to hear it." Toshi muttered as he visibly shook with anger. "The only thing I want to hear" he continued as a blue aura started to gather around him as his voice picked up in volume and bass "is the sound of your screaming as I completely destroy you!" He roared as he charged at Tom sword raised to cleave the traitorious bastard in two the blue aura growing in intensity as it lit up the throne room forcing Tom to take a step back and dart his head quickly side to side looking for an exit from the crazed wolf. "There is no escape Tom, only death remains for you!" Toshi roared as he brought his sword down on Tom's shoulder driving it clean through to his left hip before fracturing the ground where it landed. A gurgled cry left Tom as he started to fall back his life blood gushing from the deep cut left by Toshi' s blade. "I'm not done yet, I want you to suffer!" growled Toshi as he stabbed Tom in the gut and raised him over his head before whipping around and hurling Tom into the wall where he slid down and lay slumped on the ground leaving a bloody trail down the wall.
"Why do you have this power, it wasn't in your file, you're not suppose to be this strong! The-" The rest of Tom's sentence was cut off as Toshi vanished and reappeared standing over Tom with his sword raised to deal the final blow.
"You took someone I love from me, and now you will suffer for it. I know I should have killed you the second you walked in asking for a position at the advisor panel all those years ago but I had grown soft from years of peace and happiness. Now, my lack of resolve has cost me my dear friend and a father as well as a king but now I shall rectify that mistake, as I said to your father when I ended his life I will now say to you Tom, return to the shadows." and with that said Toshi yelled and plunged his sword deep into Tom's heart peirceing the delicate muscle and exsiting out his back and lodgine into the wall behind with a crack as the stone wall gave way. Toshi was bent over his sword as he tried to get his breath back, the blue aura around him started to dissapear. Toshi looked up at the lifeless face of Tom twised up in pain and agony with disgust as he put his paw on Tom's chest and yanked his sword free before whipping it once to get the blood off it before returning it to its sheath. Tom turned around and ran back to where the body of his friend lay and once again held his head in his lap as he stroked Sherro's face and started to weep again. But Toshi's tears were short lived as he heard a gasping sound and turned around and saw Tom's chest arching and falling back against the wall his eyes rolled back in his head as he gasped for breath. With one last gasp Tom's eyes rolled forward and fell back against the wall panting hard his paw over his chest as he massaged the spot where Tom's sword had pierced his heart, the wound now closed. Toshi stood with his mouth agape, how was it possible he had stabbed him in the heart and he still wasn't dead. He might have been dead before but he's standing up now, alive. "How are you still alive, I felt my blade run you through the heart. There's no way you could survive that!" said Toshi agast.
"Well I guess you underestimated me didn't you, you'd never expect me to survive a stab through the heart did you? But there is one small problem with that, you never stabbed me through the heart. I only let you think that you stabbed me. Pretty good acting huh?" Tom said nonchalantly as he stood up dusting himself off. Tom looked up and saw the look of total disbelief stuck on Toshi's face and let out a long sigh. "I can't really expect you to undestand the planning that went into something like this, so I'll enlighten you. You see these shadow things" Tom said as he gestured to the strewn bodies of the shadow wariors. "They follow my orders and do as I say, so cause: I order them to tell me how they acquired their powers and give them to me, effect: I have some really badass powers and now your king is dead. Do you get it yet or do I have to go slower?" Tom said mockingly
"Shut your fuckin' mouth you traitorious bastard, you don't deserve to talk about him!" Toshi growled his pupils dialated and his fist shaking in pure anger.
"Oh, what was that, did I strike a nerve? So sorry about that, I'll try to avoid doing that if I can." mocked Tom, his paws on his hips.
"Damn you Tom!" Toshi yelled drawing his sword and running at Tom his thoughts gone save for one kill Tom at all cost! But just as his sword was about to connect with Tom's grinning face another thought pierced his mind,
Toshi I want you to take my family and get them out of here and protect them as you have protected me. Toshi slowly backed up and sheathed his sword to the confusion of Tom.
"What's the matter? It looks like you were about to cut me head in two, but now you're backing down, why is that?" Tom asked
"I made a promise" Toshi said as he backed up towards Sherro's body, his eyes never leaving Tom's "and I never break a promise." were Toshi's last words as he picked up Sherro's body in his arm's and vanished.
"Huh, well that is unfortunate, he got away." Tom said as he walked over towards the throne and sat down with a sigh. "Oh well, back to business." he sighed as he laid back in the throne and closed his eyes. The carnage on the floor around him not doing anything to his dreams.
