Tales of the Lost Chapter 6: Centurion, Ventus Appears!

"Ok, were almost there.", Said Colette.

They were all tired of walking up the long steps to get to the Stone Dais, Emil had to pick up Tenebrae and put him on his back because Tenebrae got upset that there was so many steps. Marta was walking next to Colette and seemed to be having fun talking to her, Colette seemed to like talking to Marta as well. Tenebrae was asleep on Emil's back and Emil let out a sigh and they continued up the steps. Once they finally gotten up the steps of the Stone Dais, Emil looked up at the sky and saw that the wind was getting more and more heavy. Emil looked at Marta and Colette and saw that they were done talking "What's wrong?" Emil asked. Colette looked back at Emil and said "Oh I was just getting a great view of the sky is all." Marta looked at Emil and said "Well, should we tell her?" Colette looked at Marta and tilted her head and said "Tell me what?" Emil shook his head and said "Yes, she's earned it." Colette got even more confused and said "Tell me what?!" Marta looked back and looked at her with a serious expression and said "I'm going to tell you more about The centurions and Rataosk." Colette looked at Marta with a confused look on her face and said "Rataosk? The centurions?"

Marta had told Colette about Rataosk and the Centurions and saw that Colette listen to everything she heard. Once Marta was finished, Colette looked at them and then looked at Tenebrae, who was still asleep, and said "So he' s the Centurion of darkness?" Marta shook her head and said "Yes, Tenebrae is the Centurion of darkness." Colette shook her head and said "I understand." Tenebrae began to wake up and he looked around and said "Are we their yet?" Emil put him down and said "Yes, Were here." Tenebrae walked up to the stone Dais and looked back and them and said "I feel a draft. There must be something down here." Colette looked at him with a confused look and said "Really? But the last time I was here there was nothing but this." Marta walked up to the Stone Dais and put her paws to the ground and suddenly, her forehead started to glow red and then the ground around her started to glow. Colette got surprised and moved back while Emil looked at Marta and what she was doing, Marta got back up to her feet and looked back at them and said "Well it seems like something is down here." Colette moved to Marta but tripped on herself and pushed Marta and Tenebrae with her, They both yelled when they hit the ground but saw something almost get them and Marta said "What was that?" Colette rubbed her head and looked up to see a large black bird with a pitch black eyes and she said "Yea what is that?" Tenebrae looked up as well and said "That's a Guruda. I wonder why it's even here?" Emil looked at the Guruda and said "Well, it seem like it' s not to happy to see us here." the Guruda looked at all of them and let out a screech, which made all of them closed their ears, and it came down to attack. Marta pulled out her blade from her wrist and hit the right wing of it and it let out another scream and charged at Marta, Colette pulled out her rings and threw them at the Guruda and Emil turned into his Rataosk mode and charged at the Guruda, once he got close enough to it, he stabbed his sword into the Guruda's right wing and pushed off, Colette's rings cut the back of the Guruda, the Guruda screamed in pain and flew away from them. Colette got her rings back and put them away, Emil put his sword back into its sheath, and Marta flicked her wrist and her blade went back. They all looked at the light that was emitting on the stone dais and finally Colette said "Let's go see what's on the other side." They all shook their heads and walked into the light and disappeared.

They all repapered in a ruin and went to the stairs, they looked around and walked more into the ruin. They continued to walk until Marta said with joy "Finally! I can get a centurions core without Lloyd in my way." Colette tilted her head and said "What do you mean, Marta?" Marta, Emil, and Tenebrae looked at her and Emil said "Oh yea, we forgot to tell you that Lloyd is trying to get the centurions core as well." Colette looked at Emil and said with confusion "Why would Lloyd want with a centurion core?" Marta looked at Colette and said "Oh that's right we for got to tell you." Marta told all about how Lloyd was getting Centurions core for some reason and attacking Luin for no reason as well. Colette was shock at what she had heard and said "I can't believe Lloyd would do that." Marta shook her head and said "Well, we wouldn't be lying to you." Colette looked at Marta and shook her head and said "I know you wouldn't but still it's unbelievable that Lloyd would do such a thing." Emil said "Well people can change for better or for worst." Colette looked at him and gave him a weak smile and said "That' s what Lloyd use to say. Anyways, let's go on ahead. " They all shook their heads and continued forward. Once they got deeper into the ruin they looked around and Colette said "Hey I' seen these ruins before." Emil turned around and looked at her and said "Oh you have?" Marta said "Actually, I think I' ve seen this place as well." Emil looked at them both and let out a sigh and thought "How can they know this place yet I don' t? I feel so useless now." Colette then remember and said "This place looks like the Balacruf Mausoleum!" Emil said "The Balacruf Mausoleum?"

Marta said "Oh yea, I've been there before." Emil then said "What is the Balacruf Mausoleum?!" Both Colette and Marta looked at Emil and Colette said "You know, Your getting annoying." Marta said after Colette finished "Yea I agree, You are getting annoying." Emil looked at them and felt like he was getting ganged up and said "I just wanted to know." Colette said "Fine, I'll tell you. The Balacruf Mausoleum is where I went on my journey for World Regeneration. There was a lot of traps and monster in there but once we got to the end, I got a new ability to help me on our quest." Marta touched her paw on the wall of the ruin and said "Hey, Maybe if we go to the Balacruf Mausoleum, then we could see is they really resemble." Tenebrae cleared his throat and said "Marta, I loved to go an see the difference of these ruins and the Balacruf Mausoleum, but now is a great time before Lloyd gets here and take the centurion core." Marta looked at Tenebrae and took her paw off of the wall and said "How do we even know if there is a centurion core." Tenebrae closed his eyes and said "Yes, it's fain but I can feel the presence of a centurion's core." Marta got excited and said "Well what are we waiting for then, let's go!" they all jumped into the air and ran further into the ruins.

After a bunch of traps, a lot of mazes, and a lot of puzzles, they finally found themselves near a door. Marta looked at Emil and said "Hey, you and Tenebrae should opened the door." Tenebrae and Emil looked at Marta with a surprised look and said at the same time "What?! Why?!" Marta smirked and said "Well you almost saw something you shouldn't have when we were fighting Alice's servants right?" Emil and Tenebrae both were shocked and then let out a sigh and both of them said "Fine, we'll open it." Marta gave them a smile and said "Thank you." They both went up to the door and opened it and they all went in. They saw an altar with there was a green-like tear floating in the air. Colette looked at it with amazement and said "Oh is this it? Let me go get it." She quickly went over to it and took it from where it was, but Marta took it from her and said "No! You can't touch it!" Colette looked at her and then tilted her head and said "Huh? Why can't I touch it?" Marta looked at her and said "You can't touch it or else you'll go insane with power" Colette looked even more confused and said "I still don't get it." Tenebrae walked up to Colette and said "Let me explain. We centurions have immense power over the elements that we were made to do. In our dormant sates, our powers cannot be controlled explaining why the weather have changed and monster are getting more and more aggressive lately. If people try to touch us in our dormant states, then they will go insane with power." Colette was shocked at what she had heard and said "So if I even touched it then. . ." Tenebrae shook his head and said "Yes, you would've gone insane." Colette shook her head and looked at Marta and said "Then Marta why can you touch it?" Marta pointed to her forehead and said "It's because of Rataosk that I can touch it. It protects me from going insane." Colette shook her head and said with a smile "Ok then, I won't touch it anymore. Please continue." Marta shook her head and said "Thank you." she put the centurion core on her head and then, her fore head emitted a green light and put the centurion core down and it burst into a flash of light.

Once the light died down, they saw a young light green dragon, she was young like Tenebrae and had on a black short shirt and black short pants on, she opened her eyes and saw a light green eyes, she rubbed her head and looked around and stared at Tenebrae, Tenebrae gave her a smile and said "Welcome back, Ventus" Ventus walked over to him and said "Is that you Tenebrae?" Tenebrae gave her a warm smile and said "Yes it's me." Ventus smiled back and said "Oh, I missed you so much. And who are your friends?" She looked at the other and Tenebrae said "These are my friends Emil Marta and Colette." Emil waved and said "Hi there." Marta gave her a smile and said "It's nice to meet you." Colette said "It's nice to meet you Ventus." Ventus bowed her head and said "It's nice to meet all of you. So shall we get this over with?" Emil looked confused and said "Get what over with?" Tenebrae rubbed his head and said "Oh yea I forgot, you have to fight her, Emil" Emil got shocked and said "But why?!" Marta looked at him and said "Because, she chose you." Emil looked at Marta and moved back saying "But that doesn't make any sense!" Tenebrae then said "The only way to get a centurion out of their altar, you must fight them." Emil then looked back at Tenebrae and said "But, then why didn't Lloyd have to fight Lumin?" Tenebrae let out a sigh and said "Because he took her in her dormant state." Colette let out a gasp and said "So that mean. . ." Marta looked at her and said "Mean what?" Colette looked at her and rubbed her head saying "Oh nothing really." Ventus cleared her throat and said "Can we please get this over with." Emil let out a sigh and said "Fine then, let's fight." Ventus gave him a smile and a gust of wind blew the others out of the door and the door closed. Emil looked at the closed door and said "They can't help me?" Ventus shook her head and said "Sadly, a centurion can only fight with one person and one person only." Emil smirked and jumped back, he then pulled out his sword and said "Then let's get this over with."
