He Doesnt Love You
I don't know why I made this
Derrik reached out across the table and placed his hand on top of the fox's across from him.
"I love you."
They had just finished dinner at the restaurant that they dined at once a week or so. Tyler, Derrik's boyfriend, was short like most foxes Derrik had known. Though, his fur was brighter then any fox he had had ever seen. Maybe that's why he liked him so much. He had made him so happy that he glew like a deity to him. His long black hair flowing freely landing on his shoulders and across his back. Cliche, but that's what it was to Derrik, and that's all that mattered. The fox was wearing a light blue shirt that was a little too tight for him. He always liked to show off. Same thing with his pants: Too tight. Not that it ever bothered the otter. He liked other people to notice how hot his boyfriend was.
Derrik, on the other hand, was casual with what he wore. His clean buttoned up shirt, to the seventy dollar linen pants he wore, to the Rolex on his wrists. He just had to look nice. God knows what he probably wore under his pants. His silver hair was combed to the side. Nicely, so that it would appear to be natural. His hair wasn't naturally silver though. He didn't even have that hair on his head most of his life, but lasers do miracles in these days. Just something he wanted to impress people with. In fact, Derrik couldn't even determine what he did for himself, or what he did to make sure everyone else wanted to be him. It almost drove him crazy to try and be a big shot to everyone. But in his defense, it was working in impressing people.
Tyler gasped and blushed as he felt the contact. He turned his head to the side and exhaled deeply. He couldn't look at the otter without feeling his face grow hot when he did shit like that. And he did that a lot.
"I love you too." Were the only words he could think of to say back.
It was enough for Derrik though. To have someone like him say those three words was priceless. He had all the money in the world from his company flourishing, but he could never buy what he got from the fox. Someone to hold, to wake up every morning to, to kiss when no one was looking in the theaters, or to simply reach over the table and touch their hand softly. All priceless. And it was better that way to Derrik.
The otter slowly removed his hand off of the fox's, and smiled brightly at him. The fox returned his smile and blew him a kiss. Derrik loved that part of Tyler. His ability to make everything look so comical. They stood up together and walked out of the restaurant. People glanced at them as they walked hand in hand. Derrik saw it all, but it didn't bother him so much. He still was better then all of them.
They only got a minute away from the restaurant, before Derrik heard the words that would haunt him for the rest of his life.
"He doesn't love you!"
Derrik turned around slowly, but his mate did not even look the other way. The otter was confused at the statement. He caught a glance at the raccoon staring back at him. The same raccoon that he has seen around a lot. Every time that he and his boyfriend had gone out in fact, now that he thought about it. Derrik turned to Tyler. The fox hadn't moved an inch at all. He just stood there, looking ahead into nothingness.
His eyes focused on the raccoon trying to figure out who the hell he was, and what was that suppose to mean. Derrik knew he had seen him before. Wasn't he the waiter at the restaurant they had just eaten at? Or the secretary at Tyler's work? Maybe he was the guy in the same Dodge that passed him every morning when Tyler and Derrik went out for a walk. No, it was as he feared. He was all of them.
"What?" Was the only word that could physically come out of Derrik's mouth.
There wasn't a guideline to creepy stalker dudes. They hadn't made a book on how to deal with them. So 'What' was the only thing that made any sense in his head. Unfortunately, the raccoon hadn't really understood the 'What', and responded with the same lines.
"He doesn't love you." This time softer. His prey had already stopped. There was no need to yell.
Derrik said 'What', but what he meant was 'What the fuck do you want?' This only caused the otter to get more angry, and he decided that now would be a good time to ask him in a more direct way 'What'.
"I'll cut your chest open if you don't start explaining this bullshit!" Derrik screamed out.
It was about now that Derrik saw the raccoon was a lot taller then him. Enough to make him wish he had just asked 'What do you mean?'. Especially since the raccoon's clothes showed him that he wasn't from the same life as the otter. He wore a grey sweatshirt and torn up jeans. The raccoon was tall. Probably 6'3. Derrik, only being 5'11, found that fact to be a very disturbing thing right now.
The raccoon took a step back, shocked that someone so remarkably well-dressed, would say some so remarkably stupid. The raccoon could feel the hackles on his neck rising. He was growling, not intentionally, but he wasn't doing anything to stop it either. The raccoon pointed at Tyler. Even though the fox was facing the other way, his fur had fluffed out as he felt the stare on the back of his head.
"He doesn't love you."
Derrik turned around to look at his lover. This time Tyler turned around. Tears were running down his face. They hit the floor like beads of lead. Every last one of them Derrik could hear. The otter turned back to the raccoon. Fire was in his blood. He felt his claws slowly grow from his finger tips. He was gonna kill that fucker.
"Of course he loves me!" Derrik cried out, ready to charge the raccoon.
Sweet was already forming on his face and under his clothes. He didn't care anymore that the raccoon was taller or more built. This was personal. This was an attack on the person he had lived with for years. The one who was had promised to marry. The only one that would make him feel the way he does. But then the raccoon said something that stopped the otter. Stopped him on the inside, rather then the outside.
"I wasn't talking to you." He said only giving the otter a quick glance.
All energy had slipped from his body and from his soul. The raccoon's words sapped everything he had from him. It sapped everything from him, because the only thought that was running through his head was that it was true.
Tyler was nothing but another clothes accessory to him. A shiny one though, that gave pretty good head. Probably Derrik's ultamite prize. The otter shook his head, as those thoughts went by his mind.
"It isn't true." He said in his mind. He repeated it again, this time it was a louder thought. He continued to say it untl his mouth was moving. Then air began to come out. Soon mumbles, and finally he turned to the raccoon.
"IT ISN'T TRUE!"
He ran at the raccoon, but something happened. Instead of moving forward, he was moving...downward? He felt the cold concrete become one with his face as he slid across the ground. He layed there for a second. He didn't want to get up, but not wanting to stay down was a more intense feeling at the moment. He looked up, and he saw it. The two were close by eachother. He saw it: Love.
"I know you think you love him, but he doesn't love you. He's just using you. You don't have to settle for a guy like that. He's evil and he doesn't care about you. I know you want to live a life with money and riches, but will that please you forever? Will it make you happy when you're old and alone? Will it keep warm on the inside as much as it will on the outside?" The raccoon said to Tyler with his paws cupping the fox's muzzle.
It wasn't hard for Derrik to figure out that Tyler had tripped him. A picture of Tyler sliding his foot out had formed in his mind. It was painful though, to know that he had been betrayed by the one he said he loved. He laid there and watched the couple. His thoughts poisoned buy hatered and bitterness. But he couldn't get up. He didn't want to anymore.
"I just want to be happy, Dakota." Tyler said weakly as he fell into the raccoon's chest.
Derrik watched with tears falling from his eyes. Dakota was embracing the fox tightly. His arms massaging the crying foxes back. His muzzle kissing the fox's head, whispering words into his ear trying to calm him down. The Raccoon picked up the fox easily, and carried him away.
"Wa...Wait" Derrik said weekly, still no recovered from having the wind knocked out of him.
He watched as they continued to walk away from him. He tried to get up, but his muscles had become spagetti. An erection could have probably lifted him up more then his arms could. Instead he rolled over on his back, and looked at the sky. It was a cloudy day, but who the fuck could have expected this.
"Not I." He said outloud acknologing himself.
He closed his eyes and let the tears trickle down the sides of his face. He had just become the bad end of a beautiful love story. He was second place in a game where first only received a prize. And the worst part was, is that if he had known their side of the story more, he would have seen himself as the bad guy too.
He slowly rolled over again on his stomach. His strength in his arms and legs had come back. And picked himself off the floor, groaning as he worked his way up. He turned around and began to walk in the opposite direction of the two lovers. His thought only hovering over one thought.
"The bad guy never wins. I will only lose."
I hope you liked it.
