Wacky Prophecy
Imported from SF2 with no description.
Cackled laughter can be heard from the wizard king, Balder, as he sees the lone adventurer entering his throne room. "So, you think you alone can defeat me? I've heard of your actions across the land, but it is still foolish to face me alone!"
I laughed in response. "That's where you are wrong, Balder! I have juuuust the right thing to save you from your possession." I opened my dimensional bag, and chanted a spell to bring something within it.
Balder trembled, "No! Don't tell me... the prophecy!? I will not let you do that!" He proceeded to chant a magic spell, its power rumbling throughout the room, yet I made sure to withstand its might as the dimensional bag flew into the sky, becoming massive in order to release the relic within it.
Balder screamed, "No! Noooo! This catalyst, I will not be defea- What?" The distraction halted the wizard's spell, lifting the magic circle. He blinked once, twice, scrubbed his eyes, casted a water spell on his face over what he is seeing. "Uuuuhhh, what is... this?"
In front of him lies a polished, brand new Cadillac. "What kind of catalyst is this? Are you mocking me!?" I chuckled, "You must have misinterpreted the prophecy, my guy. You might be baffled, but you do know that Balder is slowly gaining control over your body with this beauty, hmmm?"
The demon, Asmodeus, knew what the adventurer meant. The moment he saw this... vehicle? His breaths grew short from excitement, his palms grew sweaty and they involuntarily clenched. "I- I do not know what you are talking about!"
I smirked. "Since you two have been sharing the same body for centuries, I know that you receive all of Balder's memories and feelings! So, I shall trigger his conscience even more by doing... this!" I started the car, intentionally letting the wizard king hear the hum of its engine, and doubled down on him by shining the headlights right at him.
Balder shrieked, "Noooo! After all this time, I can't be bested... by... Nooooooooooooooo, I hate... No, I want... to tinker the vehicle! To see how this thing works! To drive it!" What lies before you is the wizard king jumping from the joy of seeing the Cadillac, the artifact he saw eons ago as he used his magic sphere to observe other worlds. Never did he thought he would be able to see that vehicle in his home world.
Balder proceeded to shake my hand. "Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing this to me! You have no idea how much you have helped me. In fact, I have been lying low for so long, in order to make sure that Asmodeus abandons his demonic role after synchronizing with myself over all this time!"
I chuckled, "I had a hunch about that, old man. I noticed that while everyone fears you, no one has been harmed. The most you did was unleashing your magic here and there to spread fear, but the effects of the magic ultimately helps everyone in the long term."
Balder laughed, "Observant one, aren't you? Adventurer, I can't thank you enough. In fact, don't you have something to say, other me?" The wizard's eyes turn black, and Asmodeus grumbled, "Urgh, whatever. F-fine, you win. Consider yourself lucky that I am ending my reign on this world!" However the guy blushed, "B-but make sure you bring more of these vehicles! P-please."
From that day forth, the citizens of Eternitia live in peace. They celebrated the moment they saw their beloved wizard king returning, yet they were wary at first at his demonic self. However, regardless of what Asmodeus said, his actions prove otherwise, and he slowly enjoys his life in this world with his other self. (Not that he would admit to it unless he consumed a bunch of mead beforehand.)
The adventurer would regularly visit the wizard king, dropping another one of these vehicles for Balder. At night, civilians can hear slight metallic sounds coming from the castle, the wizard king being in the zone doing his hobbies. Soon enough, his palace has quite a unique look with the modified cars, with the king casting intricate magic for these vehicles to function properly without causing pollution.
