My Mind
My Mind
The day so perfect is ruined by
The heavens opening so viciously.
Raindrops pat against the glass
And create the orchestral piece
That calms the storms of my mind.
It hides the tears when I cry
And hinders the thoughts I'd had previously.
I relax and lose myself on cold wet grass
And my dark urges soon decrease
To calm the storms of my mind.
I love the rain I cannot lie
But passers-by look to me suspiciously.
The rain soaks all no matter the class
As it washes away the grime and grease
And calms the storms of my mind.
No matter who you are or why
The rain soaks you increasingly.
You all run flocking in mass
Taking cover in the canopy of trees,
It calms the storms of my mind.
