One life, One death

Are you aware of what your mind tells you? Are you aware of the warnings it gives you? I was never good at deciphering these either. Sorry for not giving you details of who I am or to be more exact who I ONCE was. My name is Narde and I'm a dark wolf from the family Nightshade. The reason of asking those two questions is because of my life I mean the life I once had. It all begins with me going to college at the age of sixteen. My life wasn't exactly what you'd expect it to be for a "normal" teenager. To some it can be complete hell and to others it could be complete heaven but it all depends on how you see it. Now let's go over what has happened to me.

Nov. 23 2456

Aton, Pardise

7:30 PM

Narde awoke to his alarm going off and again had the same dream of his apparent death. The dream bugged him because it was the same dream for a whole year. He slipped out of his Twin sized bed and walked into the bathroom to stare at his scarred face in the bathroom mirror. He ran a finger along a jagged one that ran over his left eye and he remembered when he got that scar protecting his sister from a gang of humans that had tried to rape her. He shook his head to rid himself of the thoughts of it and began to brush his teeth. Unlike most of his race he was quite small, he only stood at 4'9" and he was only sixteen so he figured that he'd grow sometime. He was a dark wolf which meant that he was a seer because of his lineage and it also meant allot of trouble since he was able to predict many people's death's even before they knew of it which he found as a gift as well as a curse. More of a curse he thought to himself as he finished brushing his teeth and he didn't bother taking a shower since the warm water to him was more chilling than warming since he felt things differently than others. When it was pleasurable for others, it was painful to him and when it was warm and comfy it was cold and chilling to him so he always had a special suit that he wore everyday to keep himself sane from the pains and pleasures he could feel so much more than anyone alive.

He walked out of the bathroom and turned his head to the left to see a Tigertaur padding over to bathroom yawning. The Tigertaur looked up from hir yawn and was surprised to even see hir roommate out of his suit which he practically wore all the time. "Hey, Narde how are you doing?" The Tigertaur asked quizzically. Narde didn't even answer hir question and flickered into his room in a slit second. Inhuman speed had been granted to him from training in the military for five years. It was useful as well as being a "drag". Without any further hesitation Narde walked over to the storage unit containing his suit and placed his hand on a biometric scanner that allowed him and only him to open the storage unit. Once it was open he put it on and turned it on with his wrist bracer computer. A small hiss told him that the suit was snug against his body and kept him from feeling any pain or pleasure. It cut off the endorphins that caused his nerves to send chemical and electrical signals to the his brain that his body felt pain or any pleasure. A quality that made many feel sorry for him but he simply ignored what the others felt about him. It only brought the death of his mother to the front of his mind when people tried to talk with him so he isolated himself from others for his own mental safety.

He walked out of his room and walked past the bathroom hearing the Tigertaur purr and moan from pleasuring hirself while in the shower and he clenched his fists as he walked past since he couldn't copulate with any species or even his own kind. He was a "rare" breed as others called him. Many thought they knew what it was like to not be able to feel anything at all. He stepped outside when he saw a small black butterfly fly gracefully by and as if in slow motion he watched it fly by. It was the same exact butterfly he saw in his dreams and he knew that his time in this world was over but it didn't bother him at all to know that fact and said under his breath "So it's that time huh? Fate you can be so fucking cold-hearted sometimes." But deep in his heart he felt glee to be released from his torment. Suddenly, he heard his roommate behind him. "Whaddya mean fate can be cold-hearted?" Narde caught off guard by her input spun on his heels to face hir. "None of your business, Katiya." he replied. A few seconds of silence ensued and Katiya finally spoke "Listen Narde, you don't have to hide your visions from me. It's like lying to yourself." Narde remained silence and thought carefully about his response. "And what makes you think you understand. You know nothing of what it's like to have to be in pain when others are so happy and be so happy when others are in pain." Katiya tried to get closer to Narde but he simply turned around and walked away leaving Katiya standing alone and shi couldn't muster the strength to walk after him to try and convince him that shi did care.

As Narde was walking down the street he noticed a few people he saw in his dream and he instantly knew what they were going to do. As he walked past a human male wearing shades, he sweep kicked him and as the man was falling he slammed him into the ground with a downward kick to leave the man gasping for air as a broken rib had punctured his lung. Narde looked at him and spoke chillingly. "I know what you want and why you are here but you are going to die there lying in the street and there is nothing you can do about it." Narde walked away without feeling any guilt or remorse for what he just did and just a his dream had told him a few more men began to run towards him. Narde simply continued to walk as if he was unafraid of what was going to happen to him. A sharp twinge in his lower abdomen told him that he had been shot but he didn't feel the pain and as if he knew where the hidden sniper was he looked to a rooftop and looked directly into the eyes of the sniper. The sniper shocked looked at the wolf and was about to pull the trigger again but he lower his trigger finger and looked away. Narde alreay knew the reaction and continued to walk unaffected by his wound. Although, he knew that he would probably bleed to death but he didn't care and it was too soon for his death anyways.

The men Narde saw earlier were now walking behind him and they too sensed that he knew what they were going to do so they waited until Narde walked into an empty alley and turned to face them. There were five of them and each had a badge of the NPD company logo on their left shoulder. Narde was the first to speak. "So, as of now I know what you all are going to do and to my death I will go without a moment's hesitation." As if on cue they all pulled out .45 caliber pistols and aimed at him but Narde was unfazed by them and walked towards the men with ease and peace of heart. Not a hint of fear showed in Narde's body language or eyes. The men opened fire and heside stepped every shot and in a flash had taken down two then he flickered in front to of one and said "You are doing to die by the hands of thy beloved." Narde flickered by the other two and killed them without any hesitation at all. Entranced by what Narde said the man aimed at Narde but lowered his aim and bowed in an honorary manner and walked off. Narde smiled and in an instant was kicked into a wall and punched faster than he could even respond to. With no feeling of pain he simply got back up and faced his enemy. A dark wolf like himself was standing a little more than three feet away. Narde chuckled lightly and coughed up blood and said "Well, I didn't think my brother was going to kill me but then again, you and I know how this is going to end." With that said the wolf repeatedly beat Narde with his hands and feet. Each blow seemed to stretch out in slow motion and Narde only smiled with each one that landed right where they were supposed to. At the end Narde was on the ground bleeding from the force of the kicks and punches and Narde chuckled again but was cut off by his wheeezing and coughing up his own blood. He heard the sound of a pistol being cocked and loaded and felt the barrel against his head. With his last words Narde spoke "Poor brother, one day you will find out why you won't be able to see after this." He chuckled one last time as a shot rang out and blood stained the cement around his head. Rain had began to fall and the blood was washed away into a storm drain. As if the heavens were weeping at the loss of Narde. A life so complicated by pain and misery was ended, a new one was beginning for Katiya. Although, she may not know the reason for her roommate's disappearance, she still continued living wondering what had happened to him.

I'm sorry if this was not the very happy of endings but at least a life had continued. If I had yet lived she would not be living and that I smile for. Out of my death Shi was able to live on and enjoy her life to fullest well until shi died of old age and found me here. But that is a story for a different time. Blessed be, for now.
