[What I Think About] Love
For an assignment in 12th grade English, we were required to write a love sonnet in the style of Shakespeare. As you can see, I took creative liberties on mine.

This is not a love poem
It is about love
Love is a force of nature, and I get emotional about it.
Being emotional is just who I am.
I don't care what others think; I don't care one bit.
When it comes to tradition, I don't give a damn.
Love spreads to all, even between those who are different.
Whether it be of race or class or customs or age.
Those who don't like it can get themselves bent.
Or else they will suffer the wrath of my rage.
Love doesn't care what people think is taboo.
Be it between siblings, children, groups, or the same gender.
To all who oppose this, I say shame upon you.
How could you be against what is kind and tender?
Let this message serve as a warning to the powers above:
You can't mess with me; You can't mess with love!
