Chapter 11 - A Shift in Power - New beginnings
The days following the incident with the Draconians were riddled with the group's emotional breakdowns, almost always resulting in the destruction of parts of the ship, their powers lashing out at their surroundings. The worst were involving Skye and Ryan who ruptured the hull and blew a hole in the metal resulting in venting of the atmosphere, and the odd event horizon appearing around the ship.
"Ever Since the death of Spike, it seems almost all of the Draconians have died off, they really did it," Becka sighed, they don't realize it, but they saved this part of the galaxy, they've ended Joey and now this, they really are quite remarkable."
"That maybe so... but their powers are really running wild," Serina looked sternly at Becka, "We might need to do something."
"Like what, we can't just neutralize their powers, I mean this is the first break they've ever had, it can be expected that after two-four years that the break will be large, it should be over soon, from what I've seen they're getting better and the events are less and further between." Becka replied.
"I hope you're right!" Serina replied.
"Well, they even started training again today; no one's morphed yet, maybe a possible side effect, their scared to do it?" Becka countered.
"Are their new forms as powerful?" Serina asked.
"You saw how Skye destroyed that Draconian Spike, in his vampire form, I think they might have evolved beyond the need for those forms, their bodies are stronger now, more able to fight and adapt in a smaller form, maybe we should go back to Earth, they can develop their abilities on their home planet." Becka replied.
"That might work; we can monitor the situation from here and then pick them up when we need to." Serina agreed.
"They need to become fully independent, no fancy weapons, no ships, they need to try and piece a normal life back together, or just live for a year as a family, get their minds straight." Becka suggested.
"True, and we've noticed a an outbreak of the same illness that caused the boys to morph into their vampire forms, so they might be able to do some damage control their, the ones on Earth seem to only live in Darkness, they sleep during the day." Serina thought aloud.
"So let's set the course we should be there in a few hours if we go at warp," Becka replied.
"Okay I'll go break the news to them," Serina replied, "care to come?"

The event horizon sparked to life around the outer orbital around Earth, the Thunder in Paradise slipped from slip space and was shrouded in darkness, the ship slipped into geosynchronous orbit, the ships transport batteries warmed and fired, the boys were back on Earth, was it time to start their lives over or to shift into a new phase of evolution, their new life in darkness, the Night Life.
