Bear of the Campus Library
By: A.X. Bueno
In the college library there sleeps a bear
You'd think that'd be a fright but he's just a student there
A student of the school who sleeps in the library between classes
He doesn't really blend in yet is mostly ignored by the masses
He's struggling with a lot while being almost friendless and alone
He's usually exhausted by the time he gets home
Home where he gets to relax and spend time with family and the few friends he does have
Things aren't going well for him and his sleeping schedules pretty bad
It's why he sleeps in the campus library
It's quiet and empty enough in spots for him to catch up on some z's
He's juggling a lot between his paws and is doing it with the opposite of ease
Maybe things will get better for him he just entered his second semester
Things are pretty uncertain though and he's developing an anxiety that continues to fester
But despite that he finds oasis in the library as well as an almost daily swim
As long as he has the library where he can read and nap his hope hasn't yet gone dim
He's a proud and stubborn bear and he's going to try and make it through
Don't disturb him now though he's at the library waiting for his next class and reading a book or two
As long as he has the library he can cope and maybe turn in one of his papers that's almost due
He's going to try in spite of his failures and struggles to make it to next year and then his degree
What will happen to this bear?
With time we shall see
