………Prologue………
#1 of Black Crusade
A young dragon stood firm in a field of burnt grasslandand thick smoke, his white scales glinting in the dimming dusk. His body was still smoking, much of his clothing burnt away. He stood his ground, defiant against his foe. ?His eyes were a odd color even for a dragon - a silver sheen coated them both...like a mirror into your own soul. His wings and claws seemed just slightly too big for his body, the bottoms of his wings almost dragging on the ground if he slouched. But in all his oddities, he looked feirce. Scaled lips were pulled back in a snarl, his teeth like rows of razor-edged pearls; each tipped with a needlelike point. His scales were tightly flexed to his body, living armor that served his kind well. He growled deeply as smoke around him cleared, a single shape walking towards him as he stood his ground.
"Good Talon. Your adept with this element, even for a prismatic. I'll be sending in Flair to assist with the rest of the test."
A deep crimson dragon stepped forward from the smoke, his age apparent in his features. His own eyes were that of a burning sun; tiny bursts of fire popping out and fading back in as he spoke. His right hand was still on fire, but he seemed not to notice. Fire, after all, was his affinity - and it showed in even his speech. He sounded powerfull, explosive...like his element. Talon stood up tall, smirking as the name was mentioned.
"Flair? Flair Sparktooth?"
Talon cracked his knuckles as the bigger drake chuckled, licking his fangs.
"The one and only. Seeing as he is the best in his affinity, If you wish to pass the trial of the elements when Fire is brought to play, he is whom you should learn from, not I."
Another young dragon walked into the burnt feild, his posture arrogant and aggressive. He had almost blood red scales, but each was tipped with a firey orange that faded into a bright yellow . His eyes looked normal even if reptillian, although the color was an impressive kalidiscope of heated reds and striking yellow flecks. It almost seemed that the air was hotter when he approched Talon, holding out his claws in a sign of trust and respect.
"KinBrother Talon, A pleasure it is as always. I assume your ready to burn?"
Talon grabbed the clwas tightly, pulling in for a close hug as he spoke lightly.
"You act too fast, and attack too offensivly. We will see, Kinbrother."
Flair's eyes seemed to burst into flame as he hissed, his wings opening up slowly. He stepped back from the embrace, keeping his claws up as he taunted playfully.
"We will see, won't we...Things are gonna get just a little hot."
Talon stepped back, rolling his neck and tightening up his fists, as his own eyes seemed to ignight violently.
"You'll make a wrong step at some point, KinBrother. And you know when you do, I'm going to hurt you for it."
