This episode hasn't really aged very well in retrospect
Dudley can be seen walking into a conference room with his immediate family members as his father can be seen lecturing his family about something. "Is everything set down there son?" "Yes father the rebels are ready to be used" The Saikou family's master plan is to use the magic from the rebels to trigger the gods of gaia to appear, and once they appear they capture them with anti-magic traps and use their magic to revert gaia back to its "normal" state. It's also heavily implied that the Saikou family is very conservative and hates the changes done in the past few months and prefers things to be in their natural divided and ice cold nature for their profits to be through the roof even higher.
