Back at home for the first time in what felt like years, this oak and blood wood room that I was lucky enough to have as the walls around my bedroom greeted me with rays of sunshine flooding past the closed curtain, even the soft ticking of the fan rotating seem to give me some since of tempo to relax to before my radio started playing as my alarm to wake up.
"Do I smell bacon?" I grumbled and twisted my body to lay my hind paws down onto the hard wood flooring. Tho the shock of cold send them right back on to the bed with a little yip. "Gah, I need to buy carpeting for this room at some point." I spoke in a haze as I finally pushed myself to open the curtains to my room. Looking outside, this window held the perfect picture. Beautiful flowery landscape out in Wisconsin, a forest just past my property line and spanning as far as I could see, the sun being the perfect spot light for this day. Once in a while a white fluffy cloud would pass by the sun sending shade across the acer of land, but would soon move on to its next location. Even the green grass waved with a shimmer in the wind. And the trees would sway softly in the light breeze of the fall day.
"Hey Pup! Foods about done!" I heard Hayden shout from the kitchen downstairs.
"Okay, coming on down." I shouted back before opening the door to my upper balcony. The smell of bacon flooded my nose as I made my way down the hallway that over looked our living room, turning past the bathroom and guest bedroom, in order to find the grand stair case my buddies help me make as we built the home. "What did you end up cooking?" I spoke out walking down the first few steps "Smells like only bacon!" I laughed finishing the last few stairs and walked straight into the open kitchen that was only separated by a nice granite and hard wood counter tops from the living room and dining room. The once empty white walls now a nice shade of light blue and some reds along the base board. Pictures of events, our friends, our wedding, even having a few of the family that loved to hate me or so I thought. Even the windows from this height would show off the beautiful landscape around my home.
"Bacon, pork steak, eggs and I made a few pancakes cause I know you enjoy them." The husky spoke looking up from the flat pan he had out, just finishing up the last pancake.
"Thanks babe!" I smiled getting behind him and resting my muzzle on his shoulder.
"Your welcome, hon." He spoke. A smile formed on his face as he felt my energy near him. Each time it's the same cheeky loving smile I have grown to love. "wanna help me get over to the table?" He spoke pointing his nose as a finger to a few plates he had set out.
"Sure I can do that. But, you will have to pay me extra later." I smirked rubbing my full sheath against his plump yet firm rear.
"How about you eat, and ill think about giving you some love." He spoke turning back around to me. A soft rose red blush forming on his white cheeks, tho disappearing behind the black face mask.
"Still after these years I can make you blush simply by dry humping you, hah, your too cute!" I spoke turning around and grabbing the white plates and walk to the other side of the room, setting up the long dining table, one that could easily fit about ten people, but like normal she only sees to plates. "So have you heard at all from Till, Seth or Aaron? Havent heard, or seen them, in what feels like forever." I spoke as hayden brought out the food.
"No idea honestly, I think Seth is currently out running around Tennessee with this Doberman he met. Aaron I wanna say is out in Milwaukee, which we can stop over anytime. " he spoke sitting down and snagging some food.
"And, Till?" I asked, quickly going for some bacon and the pancakes.
"I want to say hes either back in Germany, or hes currently living with Aaron." He said trying to think where the other shepherd was at. "I honestly got no idea, I thought him and Aaron started dating after you went on tour. But to be honest, I hardly spoke to anyone once you left." A gloomy look fell across his face before a smile formed as our eyes caught each other's.
"Yup, now im not leaving any time soon!" I spoke matter of factly to him.
"Good, because I really missed you, Storm." He smiled back. His paw would reach over and grab mine, squeezing my large paw with all his might. I knew me being gone would really hurt him, and due to the amount of beer cans I found in the trash when I got back could easily tell me he took it hard. "And im happy I can now keep an eye on you so you don't do anything stupid." He chuckled softly, a half smile on his face now.
"Same, I need someone to keep my company, and I couldn't think of another pup better suited then you, Hayden. Thank you for not leaving me when you heard about what I fell into." I said with shame.
"Jeremy, I know you didn't go in thinking "oh hey this is gonna be the best shit ever, I cant live without it." He said.
"I honestly thought it was something I could control. I was wrong." I spoke putting my head down. The ears that always stood up right fell back against my head as I heard the disappointment from my husky.
"Well, you are here, and I am here, so we can look after eachother all we want." He smiled trying to reassure me everything will be okay.
"Yeah, I guess everything will be fine." I charmed up. We sat there for a few minutes just eating. I was tapping along with the Devin Townsend song still play from our room upstairs. Just then a ring rang out from haydens pocket.
"Yellow?" The husky spoke into the phone. "Way to be a Wisconsinite!" I laughed out loud which got me rewarded with the middle finger from my toned husky.
"Yeah, im sitting with him right now, we just got done eating, wanna swing over?! Its been to long since we all have been in the same room!!!!" hayden jumped out, his tail flying at the speed of light behind him. His free paw balled up to a fist and slowly came up to his muzzle, where he would nip at his pointer finger. This was something he always did when he was getting excited. Which made me just raise a eye brow, intrigued, but confused at who he was talking to. "Wait what?!" He ran out the dinning room, and to the front door. "NO SHIT!!!! JEREMY!!!!" He yelled out for me, which caused me to knock of my chair and quickly follow to see what was wrong.
"Who am I killing?" I huffed and flexed every toned muscle in my body to make me look way bigger then I was. But just before I threw my angry stare at the male on the other side, I noticed it was a black panther, Golden Retriever, and a German Shepherd who looked really familiar to me. "SETH, Aaron, till!!!" I yelled pushing past my husky to give them all a giant bear hug. "Oh my god, its been to long you guys!"
"Tell me, I haven't seen you since our last year of college. Hows it hanging big dog, still low I hope!" Aaron joked while giving me a slap on the ass.
"Hey, that's my butt, Aaron!" My husky barked out.
"Well, ze shoe seems to fit, Aaron more? Ja?" Till spoke giving myself and the husky a long hug." God, I missed you two knuckle heads so much." Till spoke again.
"Yeah, Hayden, said you and Aaron were dating, and my favorite big cat is dating a Doberman now?" I said looking over my old group of friends.
"Dating Is a strong word, but yes I did find a nice mate!" Seth spoke out as Till and Aaron gave each other a kiss to prove their relationship.
"Well that's good to hear guys! When are we gonna meet the dobie, Seth?" I smiled giving my black "House" cat a tight hug. "Shit seth, you got built a bit, eh?" I chuckled rubbing along his upper arms, feeling each muscle group 3 times bigger then the last time I saw this twig of a panther.
"yup, Austin has really helped me grow and bulk up! You should see him Storm, he might make you look small!" He joked poking my stomach.
"Doubt that, my Shep is thick as a...." He stopped "Oh, you meant muscle." Hayden face pawed.
"Hah I know storm is a hung dog, all sheps are!" Till barked up. "Dam right!" I spoke high fiving Till. "Anyways you guys wanna go out and do something tonight, maybe hit the club or a bar?" the retriever spoke up.
"I just got home from playing to many clubs, guys wanna watch a movie, maybe smoke some weed and tell some stories?" I asked. "We can go out tomorrow and see what all has happened since we kinda all split up!" I said and got a bunch of head nods from every. "Sweet, sounds like a plan!"
Man, I wonder what clubbing is gonna be like with these old dogs again. But tonight, some funny memory sharing!
