Chapter 3

sorry it took me all summer i was gone in paris shopping and i didnt have time to tpe the story then when i finished it i forgot to post it and started ch 4 (not done yet either). read and please review, i know there are some problems to work out but just ignore the bad grammer. all characters are mine.

Beginning to awaken

"Its time to start your training" Tarem said from the middle of the field with a water sphere floating on his hand.

"What do you mean?" Thomas said as he walked out the field with Wee floating behind him.

"You've been recovering for the last three weeks, you need to learn how to use the power of the elementals, sadly I can't teach you all of them because I'm only a water elemental, but I can teach you how to use the water powers." He said as he took out a small leather canister which Thomas guessed had water in it and said, "this pouch contains water and this is where you'll learn to draw your power from, see when you first start to learn how to use your power you have what's called a power pocket, its basically an item that you draw your power from. Later on in your training you'll learn how to draw the element from your body and from other things." He said as Thomas walked over towards him, Thomas hadn't been outside in awhile so he looked around to see if this world was different from theirs. He saw birds chirping while sitting on a tree limb; he couldn't tell what kind of trees they were. They looked gnarled like the twist of a lickerish, and the bark was tan but the leaves were sky blue, which wasn't really normal, then Tarem said something, "Those are Smoru Trees their leaves change color according to the season. When its summer they are green, blue for fall, white for winter, and red for spring. Now if you don't have any more questions I would like to start training please. Wee!! Come help me with this"

The small water orb floated up with a happy chirp and gave Thomas a canister of water. "What's this for?" I said as examined the canister.

"Remember what I said earlier, since your new at this you'll need to learn how to extract your elemental water powers through this canister, eventually you'll learn how to take water power threw your body and other objects like ponds and lakes." He said as he held out his paw and suddenly water started to condense into a sphere shape and it rested in his paw and said "see how I pulled the water out of the air, its harder to pull the water out of the air because there's less of it in the air than in a lake or pond so you probably wont learn that till later so lets get started with the basics."

"Sure why not this might be fun" Thomas said because he had been feeling much better that day so he would give it a try.

"Ok, glad to see you're willing to give it a try. Now listen to every word and copy what I do ok," "ok," Now close your eyes and push all other thoughts out of your head." He said as Thomas obeyed and closed his eyes and tried to push all thoughts out of his head, but it took a little while before he finally relaxed. When Tarem noticed he was having trouble relaxing his mind he decided to give him a hint, "if your having trouble just imagine your standing in the middle of a magical fantasy lake, one of which you would only see in your dreams, now imagine it" he said

"Ok" Thomas replied then closed his eye sand tried to imagine it. He imagined he was standing on top of a beautiful lake, there were pink flower peddles falling and floating on the water, and a small waterfall splashing down into the water creating a mist the gleamed in the sunlight, he could feel the warmth of the suns raise and smell the moisture in the air. But then there appeared a small orb of blue light, he knew this was something special, but he didn't want his mind to wander so he let it float there.

Tarem saw that Thomas was ready for the next step and said "Now do you see a small blue orb, if you see it grasp it and let your body absorb it so that you will gain the ability to control water elements." He said as Thomas in his mind slowly reached up to the glowing blue orb, and wrapped one of his paws around the orb. He felt warmth emitting itself from the orb and reached up with the other arm to grab hold of the blue orb. He felt the warmth again and brought the orb close to his chest as his body started to absorb the power from the orb.

Suddenly he was ripped from his mind as a surge of power ran through his body. All his hair was standing on end as a shiver ran up and down his spine. Streams of water floated form the ground and wrapped around him to form a pillar of water around him. Thomas was slowly lifted off the ground, his body darkened so he looked like a shadow trapped in a giant test tube; all you could see was his eyes which were glowing a faint blue color. Then suddenly a blinding pain went through his body like he was being flayed alive. He screamed as the pain spread through his entire body. He was about to faint from the pain when he heard Tarem shout at him "You must stay awake, for if you faint while in the process of unlocking your power you will die!" Thomas heard what he said but felt he couldn't hold on for very long. He tried thinking of something to keep him alive, but then remembered watching his father be shot in front and how cruel those agents where how much he wanted to keep that from happening to other furs and get revenge, so he accepted the pain and the power flowed through his body, on the outside a blue orb of light formed around him as he curled into a ball. Then suddenly the pillar of light shot up into the along with Thomas and when it was about 100 feet in the air it exploded in a loud splashing sound that made the trees bend over from the wave of power. The water around Thomas dispersed into all direction over a hundred yards away. Thomas stayed in mid air for a few seconds until he fell unconscious and started to plunge to the ground.

When Tarem got back up from being knocked down by the force of Thomas wave he saw Thomas falling to the ground, and he saw that Thomas falling from the sky and immediately ran forward yelling "THOMAS WAKE UP!!!" several times.

As Thomas fell from the sky he slowly awoke from his slumber feeling he had been up for a week without sleep. He felt like there was a giant fan behind him drying his fur. He slowly turned around to where his face was facing the ground and then his eyes widen as his face fur was blown flat against his muzzle. He started too panicky trying to think of something to then suddenly a name came into his mind 'water pillar'. He didn't know how he knew it but something told him to shout it out with his paw facing the ground, he didn't care how sine it was the only option he had so he did as his instinct told him and he put his hand out and shouted "WATER PILLAR!" Suddenly a hole appeared in front of his paw and a giant stream of water blasted out as fast as water shooting out of fire hydrant. As the blast of water hit the ground it started to slow Thomas's fall as he was 50 ft away from the ground.

Tarem couldn't believe what he was seeing; even though the Krekhor family is masters of the elements he has never seen anyone use such a high-level spell right after their power had been awakened. Usually after an awakening the elemental would go to sleep for an entire day for their strength to return but no one had ever done such a high level technique for their first spell. He then snapped out of his mind and saw that Thomas was falling to fast he would still crash. He immediately started to concentrate and he grabbed his fury arm with his left paw and watered poured from his left paw until it glazed his right paw completely. He then lifted his paw up into the air, he looked like was lifting something heavy underneath his right paw. He stretched out his canine fingers and pulled back his arm as he took and fighting stance like that of Tae-Kwon-Do and he yelled out "AQUA HAND" and he punched his hand forward as hard as he could. As his hand stopped the water around his paw kept going and formed a giant hand, big enough to catch Thomas before he hit the ground.

As the water shooting forth from Thomas's hand was draining his little energy he had left. His vision started to blur, but he tried to hold on as long as he could. But as he got closer and closer to the ground he realized he was going to fast to stop before he hit the ground. He knew he was going to die here so he finally gave into the los of his energy and started to fade into darkness. The water started to dissipate as the hole in his paw faded away. He started plunging towards the ground, which was 20 feet away now and he was dropping at about 40 miles an hour.

Then out of nowhere a giant hand made of water grabbed. Thomas felt the cool water splash against his face fur and muzzle as the hand formed an egg shaped sphere around him. He felt like he was floating on a cloud as the sphere hovered down to the ground. When the sphere touched ground level it collapsed into a puddle around. Thomas started to fade as he heard yelling coming from Tarem. He was shouting something Thomas couldn't understand, then Thomas finally fell into the darkness....
