Journey to Another World 5 Ch. 10 Jenavee lay in the bed with Rena laying in the one next to her. She just couldn't seem to calm herself down as her finger tapped an unsteady rhythm on the mattress of the hospital bed. 'How long is that nurse planning on keeping us apart.' Jenavee thought as she tried for the tenth time to reach out to Donovin, only to find that he was still in pain and unable to receive or send any messages in his condition. "Why must she put us in separate rooms in the first place. It is not like we are in any condition to really upset each other." She complained which got Rena to open her eyes and look over at her. "_ Would you calm down Jenavee. It is like you are a slave to your emotions right now ." Rena said as she slowly took a long sigh and lay her head back into the pillow. " You should relax and enjoy the moment. Because I can tell from you aura that you are to high strung and that is not good for you or the baby right now ." She said as she looked down at her distended belly through the blanket that covered her and gave it a loving rub with one of her paws, then a gentle hug after with a comforting smile. This got Jenavee to calm down almost immediately. The two of them wouldn't be in here in the first place if they'd just stayed calm and not overreacted at the gym. '_It is because I over reacted when I saw Donovin get hurt again that put me and the baby at risk.' She remembered the stern words the nurse had told her shortly after they'd all arrived at the Pokemon center. She said that she should calm down, being all excited wasn't helping the pregnancy. So taking a long sigh she calmed down her nerves and looked down at her own distended belly. "You are right Rena. I do not know what came over me." She looked over at Rena and could see the contented smile that she had as she rubbed her belly. "How is it that you can remain so calm though. Donovin is hurt and we can not get anybody to tell us anything about his condition. Worse yet, he does not seem able to answer my psychic calls." Rena just chuckled. "_ You do have a point. It is a little unsettling to know that Donovin is hurt, and that we can not talk with him right now, but when has that been different than times in the past ." She said as she looked away from her belly to give Jenavee a smirk. " **_He has been through a lot and has always come back to us a little stronger and hopefully a little wiser." She snickered a little. "_ **So I suggest that you worry about something else ." She placed a paw on her chin and looked up at the ceiling. " **_Probably...what your baby is going to look like since Donovin is the father or if it is going to be a boy or a girl." She turned back to her belly and began to rub it again. "_ **After all. Who knew that, Donovin, a human, could actually get us pregnant in the first place ." " **_The only thing that I am concerned over is why we have not given birth to our eggs yet." She looked back to Jenavee and gave her a confused look. " **Do you think it has something to do with the fact that Donovin is human or, could it be something else?" Jenavee looked down at her belly as well and thought for a bit. 'I do have to admit that Rena does make a lot of good points. Especially on the fact that we have not laid our eggs yet.' She stroked her belly once then looked back to Rena. "You are probably right, Rena. It probably does have something to do with Donovin being human, and giving us his children." She thought for a few moments. "Come to think of it. I wonder how long a human female goes through her pregnancy. Maybe this..." She was stopped in mid sentence when she heard the doorknob turn and open to reveal another human. The boy looked no older than 20 years old, wearing a white undershirt with a dark blue vest that has green highlights over the shoulders and pouch on the bottom front, a pair of blue jeans that look to have many pockets on the side, and a matching pair of dark blue shoes that are the same color as the vest along with the same green colored shoelaces as the highlights of the vest. The boy looks around the room and notices the two Pokemon who are staring at him. "Whops, sorry about that. I was just looking for the trainer that just battled Wake in the last battle. And" He looked around the room." ....I guess he's not here. Sorry to disturb you." He was about to leave when Jenavee snapped out of her surprise, from the rude boys intrusion. "I think you mean our trainer. He is in the next room down the hall on the same side as ours." She said which caught the boy by surprise, as he probably wasn't expecting to actually get an answer he could actually understand from a Pokemon. "UUUMMMMM, thanks?" He said as he slowly left the room in a confused state. Jenavee looked over to Rena and they both said at the same time. "I wonder what that is about?" * * *

(Back in Donovin's room)

• * * Kit had taken it upon herself to be Donovin's personal stress meter, and was more than happy to remind him of such with her tails to his face when/if he decided to try an get up or open a wound by moving around to much. Though currently, Donovin had taken it upon himself to heed the nurses advice and get some needed recovery/rest. So, while he slept she had little to do at the moment, other than be lost to her own personal/private thoughts as she lay there at the foot of the bed. 'It is kind of nice, like this,' She says to herself as she turns and looks up at the sleeping face of her trainer. Thoughts come back to her of her past with the sleeping trainer and a smile slowly spreads over her muzzle. 'Sitting here, like this, just being close to one who has done so much for me. It is no wonder that Rena and Jenavee have fallen for him.' Just looking up at his sleeping face, the memories of her past start to make her heart beat a little faster. 'It is no wonder that he returned their love...and much more.' Kit looked down at her middle and cocked her head to the side, almost looking dejected at her flat stomach. 'I wonder what it is like for those two. To be able to carry the offspring of one that they care about so much.' She gives her stomach a poke with her nose in wondering. Just then she shakes her head to banish the thoughts. 'What am I thinking. This is not like me, I am not this weak when it comes to males.' She remembers the long agonizing days that she had to fight off male after male that the breeder wanted to mate/breed her. 'I am stronger than this...I have gone through heat after heat without any proper male to prove his worthiness to take me as their mate...I have...' Her eyes slowly look back up the form of her trainer and see the contented look on his face as a hand strokes a tail that lays across his chest in his sleep, which instantly gets her to loose her train of thought 'Even in his sleep, he is able to calm my frazzled nerves.' She chuckles to herself, then cocks her head to the side. 'I wonder what it would be like to...' She gets up to her paws and slowly turns to face him. She leans in a little closer to his face and can feel her trainers breath on the tip of her nose while he exhales. She stops right there as her feelings are conflicting with one another. 'I am just curious. I just want to know what I have been mis...' "IS THIS THE ROOM THAT THE TRAINER THAT WENT UP AGAINST WAKE IS STAYING IN?!" Says a voice from the other side of the room, the door opens to reveal said person. "Oh man. I must have the worst timing in the world. Sorry to disturb you." He says as he backs out of the room and closes the door right after. Laying on the bed are two wide eyed people who have their lips pressed together in a deep kiss that neither were expecting to happen. The kiss only lasts a moment as Kit's eyes grow wider at the realization then she quickly leaps off the bed and huddles in the corner with her tails wrapped tightly over her head. 'Oh god. What have I done.' She thinks as she shivers in embarrassment/confusion/shame from not only being caught by some random person, but actually kissing her trainer. * * *

• * * "IS THIS THE ROOM THAT THE TRAINER THAT WENT UP AGAISNT WAKE IS STAYING IN?!" Someone shouted which instantly got me 'up and attem'. The shout had woken me right up and I sat bolt upright to meet the lips of the one person/Pokemon that I had never expected to meet lips with. The look in Kit's eyes I bet matched mine in shock at what had just transpired/happened between the two of us. Though the kiss had only lasted a few mere seconds, the shock of it made it seem much, much longer. When that moment was over, I swear that I heard her yip in distress, as she quickly leap down off the bed, and hide under her tails in a corner of the room. Shocked and quite surprised I slowly raised up a hand to touch my lips, as if not believing that what had happened, actually happened. Once that moment was over I looked over to where the voice had come from, only to see that the offending person had exited the room before I could even get a look at him. With that done, I slowly turned to look back at Kit who was mumbling something under her breath in her Pokemon language. 'I guess I'm not the only one who was surprised by that kid barging into the room.' I slowly placed a hand on the mattress to get up and out of the bed, but was unable to do so due to the burns which quickly grasped the breath from my lungs. I let out a slow hiss of pain then lay back down on the bed and took a long sigh, 'I guess I can't get over there to try and console her.' 'Damn, I hate being laid up. Their's nothing really to do, and all you can do is let your mind and...' I stopped in mid thought as I looked towards the door and thought about the person who had woken me and surprised both Kit and I into that kiss. 'I haven't seen him before, but he says that he was looking for...now what was it that he said...something about a challenger and Wake.' Finally my brain started to fire off it's electric nodes and I remembered. 'He was looking for the last challenger who took on Wake. He was probably referring to me. I wonder what he could want.' I shrugged my shoulders and looked back to Kit who had stopped shivering, but was still hiding under her numerous tails. 'I think that she's over reacting a bit, but considering her past, I don't think that it's to much of a stretch that she's in that kind of a position.' I wanted to tell her something, do something, anything to help her out of her current state, but most of all I wanted to wrap my arms around her furry form and hold her close. "I know that this is going to be tough to fix." I said aloud, as I brought a hand to my face and wipe it off like something wet was there. 'If I try and play this off as nothing, then Kit could think that a kiss really means nothing when it really does. Though, if I try and make a big deal out of it, then that could put Kit into a worse position than the one that she's in right now.' A small headache was starting to form in my head and this time, I couldn't blame it on Samantha's headache inducing voice. Just then, Kit went stiff as a board and she slowly came out from under her tails and started sniffing around while growling. This got me a little curious, as she walked around the room, only to stop at the end of my bed and raise her muzzle to the ceiling and sniff again. Just as I was about to ask her what was going on, her eyes went wide and she quickly bolted for the door. Using her tails she was able to get the handle on the door to turn and she quickly disappeared out the door. 'Now what in the world was that about? Had she smelled something in the air in here that offended her...? No, it's probably something simple.' I thought for a moment then smiled. 'It was probably something that that trainer had on him.' So shrugging to myself, I lay back in the bed and thought of how long I was going to have to stay in this hospital. * * *

(A day later)

• * * "Thanks a lot Nurse Joy for all that you've done for me..., I mean us." I said as Jenavee, Rena, and I stood just outside the Pokemon centers door, and thanked the nurse. "Plus, thanks for the Rawst berries." I said as I placed the bag full of the blue strawberries into the top portion of my pack that sat in front of me, before looking back at the nurse. Joy gave me a happy smile, then politely bowed to me. "It was my pleasure. Now make sure that you use that Rawst berry cream as well, on your skin. It should help with re-hydration of your skin and speed up the recovery time from those burns." Just then, both Rena and Jenavee gave me a hug to either side of me, which got me to see stars for a moment. "You do not have to worry about a thing nurse Joy. We shall make sure that he,...takes...his...medicine." She looked back at me and gave me a devilish smile. "_ And, we shall take great joy in helping him put on that lotion. All...over...his...body ." Rena said as she leaned up and gave me a playful lick to my cheek. 'Are they just doing this to embarrass me, or do they mean something m...' I was stopped in my train of thought when they gave me another squeeze, which got me to see stars again for a moment. After that hug, they let up on me and we waved to the nurse and turned towards the West, out of...this town. I didn't even slow down or look over my shoulder as we passed Wake's gym, which got both the girls to look at me a little funny. "_Donovin. Hold up a moment." Jenavee said as she pulled back on my arms to slow my walk. "Are you not going to go back to the gym to collect your badge for defeating Wake?" Jenavee asked as she looked over to the front doors of the gym. " Jenavee's right Donovin. You did defeat all his Pokemon, so you should be proud and carry around that badge that you should have gotten for defeating him." Rena said as she added in her two cents, and looked towards the gym as well. I simply shook my head and looked to the gym as well. "I really don't need it." I said simply. "After all, we really weren't there for a badge," Both the girls turned to look at me. "Remember? I said that we were only there to test our skills and see how far we've come along." I reached over and placed my arms over their shoulders as I turned us to face the gym. "But if you want. We can go back into there and get the badge from him." 'Though I really don't know if I really defeated him, since I did jump into the fight before his referee could call an end to the battle.' I thought as I looked at both the girls. "Though I really don't know why you insist that it was I who defeated him, when I practically didn't do anything." Both the girls turned their heads to look at me. "It was Kit, Undine, and Samantha who actually took on Wake's Pokemon, not me." I gave both of them a squeeze and smiled at them. "So, in order to honor their victory, I plan on spending some quality time spoiling them once we get back to Hearthome city." Just then their came a yell from the direction of the Westerly direction of the town, just beyond the exit to the city. I released the girls and took a few steps towards the sound only to look over my shoulder at them. Rena had her head drooped downwards and Jenavee seemed to be having a headache as she was rubbing her temples to probably relieve some pressure within. "This is going to turn out for the worst. I just know it." Jenavee said as she stopped rubbing her temples and looked up at me. " That may be true Jenavee, but we can not just ignore a cry for help." Rena said which seemed to make up Jenavee's mind. So with that done, the three of us headed off towards the sound of distress with a speeded up walk, which the two girls could keep up in, in their condition. As we passed the last house in the town, it suddenly grew very cold and dark. I looked up at the sky and dreaded the thought of what was no doubt, a storm. I looked back to my girls and could see that they too had probably come to the same conclusion. So stopping, I turned towards them, "I don't think I need to tell you the obvious. Would you care to go back into your balls while I try and deal with this?" Both Rena and Jenavee looked at each other for a moment, then simply shook their heads. "_ Though that is a nice offer, but you have gotten yourself hurt way to many times without us by your side. Plus, you are still recovering from your injuries and wont be able to properly defend yourself if their comes the need ." Rena stated matter-of-factly. "_Plus. We are curious as to what that sound was anyways. It did not really sound like a cry for help. More like...one of...not distress, but something simila_r." Jenavee said, which did make a bit of sense. The sound that we'd heard didn't really sound like somebody was in trouble. More like somebody was really surprised. 'Maybe it was something simple...' I thought for a moment as I turned back towards the rout. Much of the area looked like it was constantly soaked by rain, which probably meant that somebody had probably just slipped in a muddy patch. I wasn't far off, when I finally came upon the person/s that had yelled out. There was a boy who looked no older than 20, laying on his backside while crab walking backwards away from two Pokemon. His attire looked very similar to an image of somebody that I'd seen in the past, but I couldn't quite place my finger on it. Much of his attire was dark in color, and seemed to suit him very nicely (apart from a splash of mud, here or there). He had on some black fingerless gloves that had a green band around the wrist, a white undershirt with a dark blue/black vest that had a yellow band around the middle with it's off white collar turned up that matched the same color to the bottom of the vest, blue pants that seemed to have several pockets on the sides which look now to be carrying quite a bit of mud/muck in them, blue/black shoes that had a red band that wrapped around the sides to the front of the shoe, a hat that had red sides and brim but had an image of the upper portion of a Pokeball that was blue on the front. The boy seemed down right frightened of the two Pokemon that stood over him as he had his left hand raised up in a stop like position. The two Pokemon were very much like their species. There was a Blaziken and a Lopunny and both looked pretty pissed off at him with their hands/claws on their hips. 'It's probably the fact that they've both got some mud on them.' I thought as I began to look them over more closely. The Lopunny looked much like an average overly grown rabbit/human that stood up on it's two hind legs. Most of it's fur was a light chocolate brown while it's tuffs of puffy fur around it's wrists, below it's knees to it's feet, eyebrows (that seemed to be like eyebrows on stareroids), and finally down the most of it's overly large ears. Though I really couldn't tell, there did seem to be some muck that was covering it's lower legs as well as on some of the tips to it's ears. The other was a very pissed off looking Blaziken, because it probably didn't like being either covered in mud (which was most of it's body) as well as being out in the rain that was now starting to come down. Like most Blasiken's, this one seemed no different from any other. Much of her feathers were red in color (though you really couldn't tell that it was covered in feathers in the first place unless you felt them) except a few places. Just below the knee the color of it's feather changed to that of a yellow color and it had some kind of long feathers/hair that came off from the crest of the forehead. Finally, judging by the look of the length of said feathers, the Blaziken appeared to be female. 'I think I can pretty much picture what happened.' I smirked to myself and shook my head. 'He probably slipped and kicked up a bunch of mud that landed on both those Pokemon (which were probably his). "Now Blaire, Lacy. The two of you need to just, calm...down. It was an accident. I didn't mean to kick up that mud and get it all over the two of you." The boy said as he waved his palm at the two of them as his face began to show a little more fear. The fear in his eyes only grew as I saw the two Pokemon lean over and scoop up some of the muck that was on the ground, then lightly toss it up and quickly catch it, as if testing it's weight. "Aw, man. Now come on. It was an..." He didn't get a chance to finish as both Pokemon quickly pelted him with the muck. Though that was hardly the end of it as they picked up more and more of he muck and proceeded to turn him into a mud/muck monster. Once he was sufficiently covered did they finally let up on the mud war and nod to one another in satisfaction. " Well ," Snicker. " **_I guess that answers the question as to what that sound was earlier." Rena said as she placed a paw over her muzzle and tried to hide her laughter. " **It was one of those two getting pelted with a bit of mud." With that, the three of us just laughed...which, got their attention. Both the Blaziken and the Lopunny slowly turned and gave us an evil snarl, almost asking the insane question of, 'Are you laughing at us?' I calmly just smiled, lowered my head, and shook it slowly. It was almost like watching kids play with mud pies. I walked over to the down man and offered him a kindly hand with a look of, 'Don't even think of trying to get any of that on me.' He reached up with a hand and took mine. With a grunt, I had him back on his feet and a muddy hand for my troubles. "I must say, you've got yourself into quite the predicament, friend." He just ignored my words as he started using his hand as a windshield wiper things, to scrape off as much mud as he could. "Damn. Now I need to go find somewhere to take a bath," He looked up at me and gave me a piercing look, to which I just smiled. He just got this weird look on his face and went back to removing the mud. 'Smile, it confuses people.' Was the old saying, and I thought that it would be best to try and remain on this guys good side as people weren't always in a good mood when, covered in mud and muck. "If, I'd known that there'd be a mud throwing contest. I'd have come sooner," I told him as he looked up at me with a sour look, which I returned with a smile and a chuckle. "Ya, very funny pal," He looked over at his two Pokemon and sighed. "As for you two. I'm personally going to give you such a scrub down later, that your whole bodies are going to be singing." To which they both just scowled at him and huffed as they turned their heads up at him, then quickly turned back to him, pulled down their bottom eyelid, and stuck out their tongues at him. He just growled and his bottom lip curled up in a snarl. "That's it. The two of you are so dead." With that, the two Pokemon let out a girlish squeal, and kicked up their feet as he quickly gave chase. "Now, is that not the sweetest thing. They love each other." I looked over at Jenavee who was now standing right behind me with Rena on my other side. "_ Young love ." Rena said as she lay her head against my shoulder. She looked up at me and saw my confused look. " **_Oh come now Donovin. Surely you can see that they care a great amount for their trainer** ," She pointed to how the two Pokemon were squealing and kicking up their feet as they ran around, doing their utmost to just stay out of his reach. "Give them some time and I am sure that they will be just as deep in love, as we are for you," With that, both girls stood up on the tips of their feet and gave me a kiss to each of my cheeks. Once they were back on their feet, I just looked at them with a confused look on my face. "Love? What are the two of you talking about?" I looked at each of them. "I don't love you," They both stepped away from me with shocked looks on their faces, only to be pulled back into a hug by both of my long arms. "What we have, is more than love," I looked over at the other three as they were still running around. "It's more like...infatuation." With that, I leaned down and gave them both a kiss in turn.
