Marked Space: Prelude
A ship sat there in the vast clearance of space. Its engine powered on but it only floated there. Inside a wolf sat with his feet on the dashboard, his fur as black as ash. A scar on his left eye from a fight long ago, there were scars all over his body, some covered by his dark fur, others visible on the parts of his body that was unclothed which was most of it at this point. It had been about seven months since he left the colony and he felt cooped up when he was there, he didn't like being in a place with a lot of people anyway. Right now as he sat there with his feet up, not a care in the world he wore only white boxers and a muscle shirt which showed off his muscular form well.
The wolf yawned "man....its so boring.....maybe I shouldn't have left...." he groaned out as he picked his nose and pulled out a booger, flicking it away
His clothes were lying everywhere not to mention packages of space food and water bottles. He didn't really care much for cleaning up since he never was told to do so since he left. He took his feet off the Dashboard and sat up "hmm....I should go ahead and head back.....this wasn't exactly the best idea" he sighed, he really missed his family even his deadbeat dad, well he thought his dad was deadbeat but he actually was one of the many scientists who built the colonies ship.
Just then the ship powered off completely leaving him in the darkness which was slightly illuminated by the millions of thousands of Stars that littered space "w-what? What's going on..."he worried, he knew the ship didn't run out of fuel, it could have ran for another 10 years without running out of fuel, but as he pressed buttons on the panel nothing responded.
Outside of the ship right in front of it seemed to be a bright white light, almost like a comet but it was much larger and whatever was inside was metallic and not at all like a rock. The wolf was blinded by the brilliant light and was unable to see the termination of his useless existence as the comet collided into the ship and completely obliterated it
