Chapter IV

-Sweat and Blood-

Talon stood his ground silently, mulling over what he knew was going to come. Who would come to be judged willingly? He knew her crimes, many dark, and some disturbing. But... He was at a loss. Her eyes were not cold as he had expected, but rather... terrifyingly alive. Work was never a fun task, though. He was more then prepared to kill her, if he had too. With his claws open slightly, he raised them up to level out in front of him, the fire inching around his scaled feet on the cold rock.

"As you wish."

With a sudden roar, He lunged forward, his scaled fist a blur in the smoke and flames. He threw his wings and shoulder into the blow; simply out of impatience. As his fist shot forward, he grunted in annoyance. It seemed she was faster then he expected, his claws smashing into the wall that was behind her. As he pulled his claws back, he growled in frustration, glaring. She merely looked down at him, her voice harmonic and sweet as she stepped forward.

"Quite the angry one, aren't we..."

She trailed off into silence, leaning over to lick his eye ridge gently, hissing in his ear. Her breath smelled like death, yet did not repulse him. It was like it hid something else deeper. Something deadly, but... something far more exciting.

"...Mr Lightbringer..."

He shivered as he leaned back, his silver eyes locked to her own in cold regard. His teeth grinded together as he spoke, forcing himself to remain calm; even in the face of such a temptress. As he rose, he flexed his body into a tight knot, growling. This was not the time...

"I think you misunderstand the...severity of your situation."

He gripped his fist tight, the clawed fingers cracking with a few gristly pops. She had an expression of pure mirth, almost seeming to chuckle at him. She dragged a claw up his chest, biting her lip as he stepped back.

"Are you that cold, Dragon?"

Lillith leaned onto him slightly, letting her fangs graze his scaled neck. She could smell the silver blood... the blood of a dragon. A delicacy for any who could dare take it...

"...Because I'd hate to have to kill you so soon..."

Talon's claws quickly locked to her neck, slamming her to the wall as he growled in anger. His eyes were solid in hue, the silver expanding to coat his entire gaze in it's cold embrace. She arched her back against the wall, not trying to defend herself in any means. Her gaze locked onto Talon's, an animalistic hunger and lust driven by demonic frenzy. She bit her lip and winked; only pushing off the wall to press back onto his body. For a moment he growled in frustration, tightening his grip. Then, he felt...or rather, did not feel it.

...Her heartbeat. Or, Lack thereof. Her body was not cold...but she had no beating heart in her chest. His claws loosened slightly in surprise, letting her speak once more.

"Silly...."

She slid her soft hands down his arm, tracing out the muscle and sinew under the scales.

"You can't kill something already dead..."

Talon stepped back, grunting. He had killed his fair share of "Undead". His thoughts were simple, as always. If it could move, and cause harm....then it could be destroyed. His disgust in such beings was poorly reflected as he looked her over again, as she smiled with those all to living eyes. He leaned over to look her in the eyes, as the fire in the room began to wane.

"No, But I can rip it apart."

She smirked, tilting her head. She looked down at herself for but a moment, almost lost in thought. Then, she struck. Her delicate fingers slid around his neck, as her pale leg slid up to grace his own. He began to fight back, his claws moving to grab her body; but he was too late. Her lips locked onto his own, as her red-flecked eyes met his own in simple delight. He growled in refusal, but he could not fight it. She tasted intoxicating; her smell drove his senses dire, and wild. He was losing his grip on reality, as she seemed to shift and fog before him...But he was starting to like it. Slipping into the toxic venom of her evil....her darkness. Something he did not understand, and feared...

...Something that corrupt even him, in the end.
