Age of flowers: prologue
Greetings everyone! I plan on posting multiple short stories that I had been thinking over for awhile, with one story in particular that I wanted to write about. For now, this will be an continuation of the last one left series. There will be some Supernatural and Paranormal elements from this point on so I hope you don't mind.
If you are new then please check out the previous story here: https://www.sofurry.com/view/1331215
The introduction is short but sweet with new characters and of course old ones. If you like what you see then don't hesitate to leave a vote and a watch!
Sit back, relax and ENJOY!!
It feels like I'm swimming in pool that's at the perfect temperature, not freezing cold nor blistering hot, just nice and warm. It's like I'm inside some sort of large, moist cocoon. I feel safe and comfortable, I don't wanna leave at all. Then I remembered being shot, I remembered the bullet that ended my life. I remembered the pain. I thought this was afterlife until I felt a hand reached out and grabbed me by the waist, yanking me away from my safety blanket in the process.
I fell on top of something tough but also mushy. It was pitch dark so I couldn't exactly see what I was on. “She requires a audience from you young one." A voice said a few feet in front of me. I looked up to see two silver eyes gaze back at me, they faintly glowed within the darkness which was my only source of illumination. “Where am I? Is this paradise?" The silver eyed man chuckled for a moment before speaking once again. “Far from it, it's better if you don't know what this place is. For now, let's not keep her waiting, follow me." the man responded as I struggled to my feet.
My sight was completely useless but my hearing was being kicked into overdrive, taking in the various noises that echoed across this place. Some were faint whimpers while a occasional plea for help could be heard, although said pleas sounded distorted and snuffed out. “Hold fast young one, let the caretakers carry us the rest of the way." The man said as he planted his hand against my chest. I was gonna ask him what he was referring to until a loud set of thuds was heard far off in the distance followed by what could described as something bellowing.
The footsteps abruptly stop somewhere in front of us. The silver eyed man once again, grabbed me by the arm and guided me forward. I could feel leathery skin beneath my feet which respectfully caused me yell in horror. “Calm yourself, they will cause you no harm."
“What the fuck is this thing? It feels like a hum-."
“You like asking a lot of question don't you?" The man stated, clearly bothered by my constant pestering. I wanted to say something but a sudden gust of wind forced me down on all fours. The creature lifted us both off the ground. The silver eyed man kept his composure the entire time while laughing at my misfortune. “I did enjoy our time together dex but this is where we go our separate ways." The man said as the thing that was carrying us stopped. I heard him take a few steps forward and grabbed on to something. Light quickly poured in as the man opened a wooden door leading to a long concrete corridor. The silver eyed man gestured for me to walk through with a wave of his hand.
“Just down the hall and to the right, you can't miss it." the man chirped as I hopped through the doorway. When I look back, only a dark Abyss stared back.
I cautiously made my down the passageway that seem to stretch forever while I examined my body. Everything was completely covered in a thick, pink substance, strangely smelling of burnt rubber but it wasn't bad enough for me gag. Soon enough, I reached a wooden door expecting to look into the some sterile room that this place is compromised of when suddenly I'm blinded by a harsh light. The scent of salt water invades my nose and I can hear gulls off in the distance. I blink a few times as my eyes adjust and my jaw drops as I realise I'm staring out onto a beautiful, sandy beach.
“ Hi Dex, I'm so happy to finally lay eyes on you!" A young woman dressed in a tight black bikini chirped cheerfully as she took a sip from her wine glass.
