Well Im posting again...this time it wasn't proof read because I'm such a selfish bum and VicousReader is a little busy at the moment. But I'm sure he'll be back at some time. :P So wipe your tears people, I'm not that bad at writing am I?

Ahh, just one more Chapter and finally Chapter 18.....feels like an Eternity. By the way, if you've been missing the tough emotions and stuff, it'll be back soon. ^^ And more action....

„Ey yo!! Why the hell is it taking so long?"

Blaze yelled, running after May and the Fearow. They ran for about half an hour without a break and the only reason Blaze didn't halt, and he was dying to, was because he feared of leaving May behind. Again.. His paws were started to feel numb. Nevertheless he gave it his all and kept his pace, steadily trying to keep up with the Mightyena.

May was to busy thinking about Kyurex, worrying about his state. She ignored her fatigue, being able to keep up with the great bird.

„We're here!" The Fearow shouted, circling down from the sky, landing in front of a big region of trees. Probably another forest.

May and Blaze eventually caught up with the bird, trying to regain their composure. Blaze collapsed nosily onto the ground.

„Why didn't I learn to fly? Damn..." he let his tongue out. May was also panting, so she couldn't exactly tell him to stop complaining. The Fearow didn't seem to be tired at all.

„He's in this forest...I don't know exactly where, but you can search for a kid named Flash, he's the one who asked me to look out for you two. Goodbye, I have to resume my evening flight."

The gold feathered bird took off with a remarkable push, scattering the dust with the resulting turbelance. Blaze and May were amazed at the stamina he had within himself. Flying such long distances didn't seemed to take a toll on his body.

They stared into the forest and while doing so Blaze glanced at his companion, who was lost in thought.

„What the hell does he think he's doing being here? Is he like tired of going off track or something?" He asked, probably moreso himself than May. The bright sunshine didn't help his cause and only seemed to agitate the Houndoom even more.. He noticed the noisy river nearby, and sniffed around for possible hints. Something struck him as fmailiar. „His scent is around..."

„Yeah...lets go find that idiot." May simply replied, starting to walk towards the forest. Obviously - she was rather pissed. Kyurex going off on his own could only spell trouble and she knew it. She couldn't tell why he was in such a place but she also didn't care.

Blaze sniffed a little more, eventually following the Mightyena whilst staying close. After a while he figured that easing the mood wouldn't be a bad idea, it could even possibly make the reunion a bit less of a hassle.

„Don't get mad at him, I'm sure he's got a good reason for going absent. You knooooow him May.. " He tried to remind his friend. May waited for the Houndoom to catch up.

„He better, or else." she said in a somewhat serious tone. They both started walking in a line. Blaze felt amused.

„I sure don't want to be Kyu today...and tomorrow. As am matter of fact, with your POSSIBLE intentions - I'm speculating here though so don't get mad - I don't wanna be Kyu at all."

May then abruptly stopped - and Blaze followed suit. Before he could ask her why she did so May looked him dead in the eye, with a rather sad expression. Blaze couldn't quite follow.

„Blaze?" she asked, sounding quiet. The horned dog raised his eyebrows.

„Hmm? What's wrong sis?"

They kept walking. May took a deep breath. She wanted to know, it's something she's always thought about.

„Does...does he ever talk about me?" she asked. Blaze was a little surprised at the sudden question. He didn't want to answer with a no, even though it was the truth. Kyurex barely talked about his feelings, even with Blaze. His mind raced searching for the best answer.

„Just....be honest, please..." Their eyes met. Blaze sighed, he couldn't lie to his longtime friend.

„Not really..." he said, regretting it somehow. He supported Mays wish to be together with Kyurex. He had always been the one who would watch the two getting attracted to one another. It was somehow sad. They kept walking, noticing Pokemon walking around.

„I guessed so...He never lets me know how he feels about me, and I don't think he ever will."

Blaze understood this as a „I'm giving up" phrase. He couldn't allow that. He looked at May.

„You know what? I think its time you made a move, and I mean like...don't let him lead you around, you've got to lead him around!" Blaze just said what he thought."Then he'll realize what he has missed all these years. You'll show him, I know it."

May was surprised to hear something like that from her friend that usually only joked around. His eyes were serious, and May began realizing that Blaze could be more than just a clown at times.

„Blaze..." she smiled, trying to hide her shyness. Blaze smiled.

Some Pokemon appeared walking passed the two.

„I'm telling you, Jessicas going to get that Umbreon for her...she loves hot looking males.But I don't blame her, Slade isn't that attractive as everyone says anyway..."

„Ey, sir Kyu isn't like that - I mean he doesn't ehm...seem that way? Surely he hast a girlfriend already."

May and Blaze looked at each other. There was no doubt about it.

The Pokemon who spoke was an Electrike. He was accompanied by a Marill and a Machop and they were obviously discussing a topic that the two strangers would like to know about.

„Excuse me kids, do you just talk about an Umbreon called Kyurex?"

Kyurex munched some berries Lilly parents had given him. All five of them sat inside a cave, Lilly, Jessica, Kyurex and Lillys parents. There were a lot of wooden burrows in the Forest but Lillys family were all fire Pokemon, so it was understandable why they lived in a cave. The Umbreon was surprised that all in the family were one species, because this was rare, not mentioning that parents who stayed together was also a rare case.

They peacefully ate, and Lilly seemed to be more than happy.

„Mr. Kyurex gave me advice against the hypnosis move dad! And That's how I won the match!" she beamed. The adult Ninetales smiled.

„Really?"

„Well it wasn't me, Lilly could of done it all by herself..." Kyurex started. „I have to say her energy is great, I can sense one powerful lady in the future." He remarked. Lillys parents seemed to be proud. Lilly blushed again. Jessica repeatedly took a glance at the dark creature who didn't seem to notice. He was being really kind...and it somehow attracted her. It was something Slade never did. But then again, she just met him.

„You see honey, I've always told you could do anything, just like my Jessy!"

The mother sounded like a typical mother. Kyurex sighed, what family could consist without one?

„Mum, Mr.Kyurex is really kind!"

„Oh? Whys that?"

„He said when I evolve I'll be prettier than sis!!"

Kyurex coughed. Once again, somehow, a berry got stuck in his throat. Everyone watched him. He seemed to be suffocating. He turned around to not cough in front of the family.

„Sir, are you okay?"

Kyurex eventually managed to cough up the berry. He caught his air after swallowing his food properly. Sometimes little kids were too open. Lilly thought about what she said, not knowing if it was a mistake.

„Its ok...eheemm..." Kyurex regained his breathing. Jessica watched him, giving him a ironic insulted look.

„Well...eh..." he couldn't find a answer. It was the truth. His only saviour move was to-

„Well thank you very much for you kindness...but I really should be going...My friends are probably worried so, yeah..."

He got up, bowing before the family.

„Are you sure you don't want to stay untill tomorrow? Our teams will be leaving then." Lilly mother asked. Kyurex shook his head.

„Nah its ok...I'm a dark type, I'll be travelling at night." he explained. Lilly felt sad, she quickly rushed and jumped onto the dark creature, once again making him stumble. He still felt his injuries cry, but he bared with it. Lilly started again to lick his face. This was sort of embarrassing, because even little girls didn't do such things. But Kyurex didn't retaliate...

„But Mr.Kyu, you haven't even said goodbye to Flash and the others!!" she reminded him. Kyurex also thought it was bad to leave without saying goodbye, but he had to find his friends. He eventually managed to get up.

„Its ok, you can tell them goodbye for me. Thank you very much again, it was nice staying here."

He said. The parents both said goodbye and Kyurex, giving Jessica and Lilly one last glance, started to walk out of the cave.

„Wait, I'll come with you..."

„Me too!!"

„No Lilly....please stay here."

Jessica, smiling, approached Kyurex.

„I'll be outside mum..." Jessica ensured her mother. The Ninetales nodded.

„Okay honey, but don't take too long!!"

„Sure mum."

Kyurex and Jessica both walked out of the cave. It was already slightly getting dark. They were both silent, walking a couple of meters next to each other. Kyurex eventually stopped next to a tree, looking at the Ninetales. Jessica also stopped.

„Well, I guess I'll be going alone now..." Kyurex said, looking into the forest. The Ninetales looked nervously at the ground. The Umbreon suddenly remembered something, he turned to the Ninetales.

„Oh, do you know where Bronze Tournament is? I mean, I know I should head to the Ghost Passage but, me and my team seem to be going the wrong way..." he asked, feeling a little embarrassed about the situation. Jessica thought a little.

„Well, my teacher said we should follow the river that runs along this forest, I don't know if you know-"

„Nah I've been there yesterday..."

„Ah...well then you should orientate by watching Mount. Lessvin, you should see it after following the river for some time, It's dangerous, but passing the Volcano will bring you much faster to the Ghost Passage, I don't really know anything else...you should of asked my teacher today." Jessica explained everything she knew. Kyurex recorded everything in his mind. The river...then Mount.Lessvin. Wasn't that hard.

„Its okay....thanks..." Kyurex said. „Well-"

„I'm the one who should be thanking you..." Jessica started to get shy., playing with her paws. Kyurex somehow hated such moments. He tried to act normal.

„For what?" he asked, as if he didn't understand.

„Well for being so kind to my sister...I've never met anyone who cared so much for her, I mean, not even I believed in her strengths...but you..." Jessica looked away, trying to hide her blushing. Kyurex, as usual, started to feel uneasy. These were the moments he couldn't think of a plan. „I never thought you could actually outsmart Slade..."

Kyurex didn't know what to say. This was getting a little emotional.

„Well uh, em, come on, it was noth-"

Lick.

Kyurexs thought he was going to burst. Jessica had just licked his nose with her wet tongue, making it all sloppy. The Umbreon felt his furr standing up as if somebody had used a thundershock on him or something. He wasn't somebody who ran after females, but he couldn't resist his hormones who were all screaming. „WOAH". Jessica was too gorgeous, no male could possibly resist her beauty, not even someone who hid his feelings like Kyurex. Her elegant fur. The Umbreon looked into her eyes, feeling his heart beat as if it was trying to jump out of his chest.

Jessica smiled.

„I see you like my way of saying thanks."

„Sir?"

Kyurex jumped a little, turning around.

No...this was too bad.

Flash, a unknown Marill, Baxten, and worst of all, standing behind the three. Blaze and May. Kyurex stuttered. This was reaaally bad.

„I told you Jessy was going to get him!" the Marill clapped her hands as if everything was ok. But everything wasn't okay, Kyurex looked at May, who wasn't happy at all. Jessica and May observed each other. Jessica somehow understood the situation, and it made her grin.

„Jerk..." she said, quickly turning around and walking back from where she came from. Blaze smacked his head against a nearby tree.

„Kids...if you cheat on your girl, never do it in front of her..." he said talking to Flash, Baxten an the Marill, he turned to Kyurex."Ey Bro, nice to see ya again...but I think you know that right now we better go before we lose May...I think she could be heading anywhere right now... "

Kyurex was happy and surprised to see his team again, but he had to hurry.

„Thanks for everything!!" he quickly turned to Jessica. Flash was puzzled.

„Are you going?"

„Sorry Flash...but I've got a big problem! Thanks for everything, and take care of Lilly! May we meet again in the future!" he quickly spoke to his little friend.

„Thanks Kyu..Your were a great advisor today..." The Electrike smiled. „And may your problems be solved!"

Kyurex smiled, rushing next to Blaze.

„Yeah, I hope so..." he said, thinking about how far away May was right now. He looked at all one last time. „Bye all! Lets go Blaze!"

Kyurex and Blaze rushed after May, evading the trees that seemed to be everywhere. They steadily kept up their pace. Blaze shook his head in dismay.

„Where the hell were you yesterday!?" he asked, sounding pissed. Kyurex remembered.

„Well thanks to your flamethrower....I was getting chased by a Steelix!" The Umbreon angrily answered, jumping over a log after Blaze. May was still out of sight. They continued walking next to each other.

„What?" Blaze asked. Kyurex understood that Blaze didn't understand.

„That big stone your flamethrower hit, was part of a freakin Steelix!!"

„No kidding?"

„How the hell do you think I ended up here then? It chased me for a damn hour. Nearly ate me as a matter of fact." Kyurex explained. „Anyways...couldn't you pick a better time to barge in? Now May will act like this forever...And it wasn't even my damn fault..."

Blaze grinned, how could he take his friend seriously. He nudged the dark creature while they kept up their pace.

„Haha...but how did you get such a gorgeous chick man? Hehe, my bros starting to grow up!!" he joked. After seeing that it wasn't funny, Blaze started to remember his talk with May. He felt guilty...first he supported her, then he joked. He stopped acting.

„I think she's mad because..." The Houndoom started. Kyurex raised an eyebrow awaiting the whole sentence.

„Because what? Because I was standing next to another female?" he was angered, not understanding why May had to make such a fuss out of everything.

„Emm..that hot chick kissed you okay, kissing and being standing next to some one are two different things Kyu..."

„Wow, she kissed me on the nose...lets go kill ourselves. Man what the heck is up with all this? I've had enough of this garbage, seriously."

Blaze cold tell that his friend was being completely honest with himself. He found it funny how he seem to despise fussing but was doing so himself by ranting about it.

Kyurex sighed.

Females, a curse I've been blessed with since birth...

Blaze thought it was time Kyurex knew. Some things had to be made clear before it all got too complicated - and Blaze didn't wanted his two best friends end up hating each other. He had to tell him, for Mays sake, and for the Umbreons.

„Well we had a talk on our way here....but just don't tell her man...she's totally serious about it." The Umbreon already could guess what the Houndoom was about to say. What else could be coming? It was obvious - and he somehow felt juvenile acknowledging the fact. Blaze sighed.

„She loves you bro...And its time you stopped messing up the whole time...I know you two like each other, so be a man and do it already. You know how you hurting her bro? Cause Trust me...you don't want to know..."

Kyurex gulped down whatever it was that wouldn't bulge in his throat. He knew Blaze suspected something about him and May before, but right now, he just put the nail in the coffin. The kiss, no matter where and how petty, wasn't exactly helping him regarding his and Mays relationship already shaky and awkward relationship - that was just a fact. He was still damant about the fact that it wasn't his fault though.

It grew darker every second and May was still no where to be found.

„Do you know where we're going?" Blaze asked, understanding that he had no Idea where they should be heading off to. The Umbreon, keeping up his pace, remembered what Jessica just had told him.

„I know the way..." he started „We've got to follow the river outside this forest. I passed it today morning so I know where it is..." he then thought about the situation."Problem is, I don't know what place May wants to visit right now."

„Wait..."

Blaze stopped running. Kyurex walked a bit forward after realizing why Blaze had stopped. May stood right next to the entrance of the forest, looking at the sky and the two only saw her back. Blaze turned his eyes to the Umbreon, tuning down the volume in his voice.

„Wait here...I'll talk..."

„Nah, I guess I shou-"

„Chill, lets not risk...just take a break and I'll handle this in a sec bro, you know I've got the skills." Blaze ensured Kyurex. He started to move, blinking with his left eye while grinning to his friend as a sign of „Everything's going to be okay". The Umbreon smiled, it was just the typical Blaze he had grown to hold dear as a friend for all these years. A knucklehead, but with a big heart.

„Okay..."

Blaze approached May, and Kyu watched her turn her head slightly to face the Houndoom. He didn't get it partially, but he also partially did get it. But to make such a fuss out of it all? He couldn't believe that a kiss could have so much impact on someone. Though, actually it could, but it had to mean that May had serious, no, very serious feelings for Kyurex.

After noticing them talk, Kyurex turned around, to think for himself.

Man...she must really like me. And actually, if I'm honest to at least myself, I like her too. I mean, she is rough at times but lately, she's been really cute...

He thought.

And actually...she's...well I don't know...

He hesitated to think about his true feelings. Another part started to push the thoughts out in his own mind.

_ Say it! At least say it to yourself, come on! _

No...

_ It'll feel good, trust me. _

And he started to say it, in his thoughts.

She's...well...she's beautiful, and I actually...liked...

_ Speak your mind! _

Ehh....I loved the kiss with May, I...I want to do it again...I really do...man

_ Hehe, There you go. _

He looked into the forest, shaking his head gently, trying to stop the discussion in his own mind. It was somehow good to finally admit something, even though only to himself. He realized that he was just scared to admire May too much...but he understood now that, she was more then just a friend, or at least a little.

He turned to look at her once more.

Ehh...I guess some curses don't suck that much if you think about it.
