#12 of Blood Red

Location: New Vega, Club Phymn, Room 172.

Time: 19:40pm.

Year: 2245, January 11th.

The Red Fox slowly snaked around me, constantly running his fingers along my chest and around to my back, smiling as he proceeded. I could tell that he was trying to draw me in, though it wasn't unexpected, considering how Foxes are renowned for being devious, any time, any place. I decided to play along carefully and get the Fox in bed; right next to the pistol that I had hidden neatly underneath my left pillow.

"You weren't what I had expected when I heard a Red Fox was coming along." I said playfully, trying to circle around him as he did to me. Unfortunately, the only thing we ended up doing was making ourselves dizzy. The Fox finally grasped me by the shoulders and pulled me close to him.

"Why don't we get more comfortable?" The Red Fox asked, unbuttoning my shirt and dropping it to the floor. In turn, I took off his shirt, revealing more blood-red fur underneath.

"Sure thing...Jack" I replied, barely remembering his name. Jack immediately dragged me along and pushed me onto my own bed, undressing me down to just my fur; in turn, I managed to undress him whilst he lay down on top of me.

Something was off, though; I didn't see any weapons or anything like that underneath all his clothes. Had he just come here by chance? It would make sense, considering The Administrator had let him in. I had told the Dragon about my past experiences with Blood Clan, and he wasn't the kind of person to forget about these kinds of things. Maybe he did forget; maybe he relied on me to protect myself; maybe the Fox was just here for sex...

"I've heard a lot of things about you." Jack whispered into my ears, sending shivers down my spine as he brushed my face with his long red hair that dropped down; "They say you never age; that you've been around the world, searching for treasure. It sounds fascinating."

"I'm surprised you know about something like that." I said playfully, embracing him with my right arm whilst running my left hand down to his lower body. "I wonder where, or who, you heard these things from..."

Jack slowly grasped both my arms, wrapping them around his waist and allowing me to look deeply into his eyes. Everything slowly became a blur; the slim, long haired Fox had been reduced to a red silhouette, and the room started to turn pitch black, leaving just me and Jack. My breathing had become silent, yet I could tell that I was constantly breathing in deeply, letting myself drown in Jack's eyes. My body wasn't reacting, and I could only think. What was Jack doing to me? It felt like my body was being hypnotized, but my mind was still clear.

"Tell me what you want." Jack ordered soothingly, running his hands along my back slowly and keeping his eyes fixed on me. "Who are you? How did you kill the last Blood Clan you met?"

"I...want you..." I answered, not aware of what I was saying. "My name is...Kobalt Monday...I shot the Red Fox in the back...killed him instantly..."

"And how did that make you feel?" Jack continued, not at all angered or moved by the answers. "Did it feel good? To get revenge on the same Fox that shot you; the same one that should have killed you?"

"It felt...good." I answered, trying hard to fight back and try to regain control over my body. "I...killed him because...because Elise told me to...it felt good to have...revenge...it was the first time I killed..."

"Good...good..." The Fox repeated, now running his hands through my long hair. "Now just relax; you won't feel a thing. Just keep looking into my eyes, and everything will be over..."

I kept trying to look anywhere but into Jack's eyes, only to be constantly drawn back to him; in my mind, I was having a panic attack, feeling trapped and helpless. My body, on the other hand, was embracing it all as pleasure as I unknowingly brushed Jack's blood red fur with my hands. I tried to focus on the blackness that surrounded us, but failed in trying to break the Fox's hold on me. I felt like I was going to die here; in my own bed.

I saw something even more horrific; it would stay in my mind forever. Jack pulled something out of himself -out of his own skin; almost as if he had small pockets of skin in his wrists, and possibly all over his body. The Fox held up a small needle filled with a light blue liquid. I knew what it was, which made me panic even more. It was Aura; he was going to overdose me with a pleasure drug. At least I knew what he meant by 'not feeling a thing'...

Resisting and trying to focus was useless; I was almost about to fully submit, when I had the craziest, and perhaps smartest plan of all. I began to let go of everything, with both my mind and body embracing the Fox; just the Fox, as I shut out everything around me, all my emotions, everything, until there was just Jack left, and my emotionless self inspecting him.

The rapid heartbeat. His right wrist bleeds and sags, almost completely masked by his fur. The metal point of the needle, moving slowly towards my neck as I remained calm; the still, blue liquid inside, not trembling or shaking at all, gently handled by the Fox's right hand.

A few more seconds pass, and I begin to hear something else. Voices from the door leading to my room; a person says in a deep but loud voice 'Stop, you can't go in there'. The person spoken to ignores the voice, and kicks down the door; his jet-black fur blending in with his leather trench-coat as he raised a pistol that wrapped itself around his right hand. He fired, and I regained focus again.

I saw the Red Fox get thrown to my right from the impact made by the black-furred man. I looked to my left and saw the man, still holding up his now-smoking pistol, and looking straight on with a scowl on his face. From just his build, I could clearly see that he was a Black Wolf, just barely in his twenties, but still able to hold his own. I looked back at Jack, who was now back up, and looked completely unharmed; though he had went from slim and slender to muscular.

"You son-of-a-bitch!" The Wolf growled, firing another three shots at Jack, whilst I pulled my pistol from under my pillows and kept it aimed at the Red Fox, who was beginning to look even more aggressive than before.

His muscles appeared to grow slightly, and his spine had arced so far that his head was barely on the same level as his chest. I didn't have to guess to tell that he was Feral; his hands had turned to claws, and the teeth he showed had turned into small knives that looked like they could tear through bone with ease.

Ferals were basically any kind of animal that had strayed from civilized or social manners and became something less than alive; a killing machine, capable of killing with ease. No one really knew how the process worked -though this situation was much different; Jack had turned Feral in a manner of seconds, and from the size of his muscles and body build, I could tell that this was something unnatural; something caused by someone...

I finally brought myself to pull the trigger on my pistol, sending five small metal pellets barely the size of my fingertips into the Feral's chest, sending him back barely two steps. Unfortunately, the only thing it did was draw his attention on me, and I didn't even make him bleed; the bullets just stuck in his stomach, not even bruising him. I began to panic again, and pulled the trigger three more times, aiming at Jack's head and causing him to take a few more steps back.

I almost forgot about the Black Wolf behind me, who, by now, had stepped forwards past my bed, holding a large knife in his right hand now. I saw him stride forwards, arcing his knife and bringing it down on Jack, which was surprising considering how terrifying he looked, and how the Fox practically towered over the Wolf. I closed my eyes tightly, not wanting to see the result.

In a flash, it was all over; the Wolf had planted the large knife right into Jack's throat, with the hilt projecting from his spine. There was no blood, but I could tell that the blade was blocking Jack's throat, meaning he wouldn't be able to breathe. The large Fox brought his hands up to his neck, gasping for air as he toppled to the ground. The Wolf brought out his large pistol again and released three shots into the Fox's head, leaving a motionless body on the floor. Soon after, the Wolf picked up the large body and dragged it with him out the door.

"Get dressed." The Wolf ordered bluntly, holstering his pistol and struggling with the body. "The Administrator will explain everything. Until then, I suggest you have a sit down and a quick drink to cool your nerves."

"Hold on for one minute!" I asked, getting up from my bed as the Wolf started to walk out the door. "I have more than a few questions for you! Who are you, first of all?"

"...Lawrence." The Wolf said after a long pause, not turning to meet my gaze. "I suggest you get dressed now. As I said, The Administrator will explain everything."

I stared at the Black Wolf as he dragged the body out of the door, finally shutting it behind me and leaving me alone, with too many questions to keep track of...

Who was he? There was something that struck me about him; as if he was familiar...

Why was he here? He looked as if he knew what Jack was, and how to go about killing him.

Did he know about The Administrator? Maybe he worked for the club, judging from how casually he addressed the Dragon; though that wasn't how I was reminded of him...

I suddenly knew how I remembered him! Judging from his skills, as well as how he acted as though he knew me, I suspected that it was the same Wolf that I had met in the abandoned apartment complex. The same one that held me by the throat and slammed a door right into me; so why was he here now? What could he have possibly gained from saving me?

I took a long sigh and picked up the few clothes that Jack had stripped me of, putting them back on slowly whilst simply staring into space. Everything was happening so fast -too fast for me to follow, and just causing more and more questions to pile up on top of me.

Once dressed, I poured myself a tall drink and took slow, long gulps.

All I could do now was wait for The Administrator to actually give me the answers I was looking for. That is, if he knew the answers...
