_______Update 1_______

"NO!" A strangely soothing voice screamed. He knew that as long as he heard this voice, everything would be alright, but now the voice was fading. As the voice faded, so did his sense of self control, The quieter the voice got, the more he paniced. The voice was now gone and there was nothing but pitch black, and a falling sensation. Something was coming, something large and immovable, the ground. He flailed his arms and legs hoping to grip anything that jutted out. Nothing. There was a crash.

"AHH!" A scream escaped his mouth. He shot straight up into an upright position. His heart raced and back ached as if he had fallen, and fallen hard. A sweat broke out over his head and was wiped away by the back of his hand. He slowly looked around the room slowly, from item to item. His alarm rang loudly. 7:00 A.M. He pushed the covers aside and swung his feet over the edge of the bed.

He slowly walked toward the bathroom and stood over the sink and stared down into the drain. It looked like a dark abyss as he gazed down the drain. His hand reached for the plug and plugged the faucet. He turned the water on, watching the basin fill slowly. The water tossed and turned in the basin. The water danced and played continuously before his very eyes. The water licked at his fingers. He slowly reached forward and turned the water off. He gazed intently at the water for a short while as it settled into a smooth surface. His cupped hands dipped into the water and he pulled the water out and pressed the cool wetness against his face.

The buzzer on his alarm clock began ringing again. 8:00A.M. The alarm buzzed with a relentless annoyance. He shuffled over to the alarm. Still exhausted, he reached toward it, and turned it off. He turned to the closet across the room and moved toward it. He opened it and removed his normal business attire: a light blue button up shirt, dark blue tie, black slacks, black shoes, and a laminated I.D. badge that read, "Solomon, Edward".

Ed looked into the mirror and stared at his relfection. He stood six feet tall, a lean build, dark hair, slender arms, hazel eyes, and developing a beer belly. He stared unhappily at his reflection unsatisfied.

I need a change, Ed thought to himself, I need a change soon.

He left the room fully dressed and headed into the kitchen. He reached into the cabinet, grabbed two slices of bread and walked out.

What happened last night? I remember something from my dream, but I don'e remember what it was, there was a voice, who's voice was it? It was so clean, so innocent, why was it screaming? I heard it and everything felt all right. Why can't I remember? Ed groaned in disappointment. Why couldn't he remember. The dream felt like a good one, but if there was a screaming, how could that have been possible? It felt so wrong, but it felt so right.

He stepped into his car, and drove off to work at GameSoft Inc. After ten minutes of driving he pulled into the parking lot and parked. He left the car and proceeded toward the office. He flashed his badge to the security officer and advanced inside. He rode up the elevator to the third floor. It seemed like the office was empty. He stepped out of the elevator into the hall. With fifteen minutes before 9:00, Ed decided to wander the halls aimlessly. Cubicles were passed silently in the dark. People started showing up soon after, and Ed turned and headed down to his cubicle.

The daybslowly creeped by. At about noon, lunch break came around. Ed hadn't eaten since morning, and hadn't had much. He stood up still wondering about his dream, and walked toward the vending machines. Looking at the selection he decided on a sandwich. He inserted his money, picked up his food and walked away. He sat down at his desk and layed his head down for a nap.

There was a magnificent sound. It sounded as if water were running, Ed tried to open his eyes. His vision remained blurred. A small shadowy framed figure stepped into the open door way. Its arms spread in a warming welcoming scene, and something moved behind. Not another figure, it looked like a-- a tail?

Ed lifted his head slowly. The small hut-like room was gone. It was the cubicle. He looked around and saw the clock. It was a quarter past five. Shit, time to go. He stood up and wiped the drool from his mouth. and left the building.

__________Update 2__________

Ed thought nothing of it. He simply got up and left. Down the stairs and out the front office door.

The exhaustion swelled within as he walked toward the car. The key was pushed into the ignition. The car started and pulled out of the parking lot. Ed began dozing off behind the wheel struggling to stay awake. The sky darkened as clouds grouped together and dimmed out the sun. The sky became unnaturally dark, unnaturally quickly.

"What the hell is going on?" Ed asked himself under his breath. The alley his house dwelled in cameup on his left. The steering wheel turned under the force of his hand. There was a straight shot from one side of the alley from the other. The gas pedal was stepped on lightly to move forward.

The light coming from the car's headlights were noticeably dim. The alley began stretching further away from the car. Ed stared in disbelief and began to proceed forward. His foot became heavy on the gas pedal. The speed steadily climbed as the gas pedal was pressed; ten, twenty, thirty, fourty, fifty, sixty, seventy.

A tall shadowy figure darted across the alley before him.

"HOLY FUCK!" Ed slammed on the brake. The gravity seemed to lighten as Ed was lifted from his seat in a forward launching motion. The seat belt pulled him back and slamed hin into his chair. The car was at a dead stop in the alley. His adrenaline pumped, his heart raced, the sun burned.

The bright sky caught his attention. He looked up into the darkening orangeish yellow sky. There wasn't a cloud in sight. Ed looked back over his seat. There was nothing but the other end of the alley. His limbs shook slightly as he

tried to calm down. The gas pedal was eased down under his foot as the house grew nearer. He stopped looking into the empty driveway. He thought about how the empty driveway reflected on his life. Empty. He thought about how he had lived an empty unsatisfying life.

Ed pulled into the driveway and parked in front of the garage. He stepped out and walked in the door. The door closed behind with a loud thud. His shoulders dropped and he slouched. He thought of the driveway and his life. He shuffled down the hall and dressed into his shorts, and layed down.

Why am I so tired? What the hell was that in the alley? Did I fall asleep at the wheel? How did I get home alright? Was that a dream or a freak act of nature? The questions raced through his mind continuously. He pulled the covers up and drifted off into sleep.

A sound. Water running, a small room, a shadowy figure at the door. Light had shone in through the foorway darkening the figure of the shadow's face.

"Who are you?" Ed asked raising a hand to his eyes, blocking out the light, and the figure.

"Don't worry dear, all will be told in time, you are safe from that horrid, wretched place now," The voice was sweet and soothing, "You are torn now between what is and isn't."

"Is and isn't what?" He asked groggily.

"Real..." The voice echoed until it faded away.

Sight came back with a buzzing sound, an irritating sound. His eyes opened to find the small hut and that loving sweet voice gone. 7:00 A.M. Ed drew in a deep breath and let out a sigh.

Friday, Ed thought silently to himself, Thank God, I thought this day would necer come.

Ed went through his daily routine of shave, wash, eat, and leave. He scuffled out the door grabbing his favorite outfit, consisting of a black T-shirt, black jeans, black shoes, and black leather jacket. He got up to a walking speed and headed out to the car.

What was that dream about? Something strange is going on, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Was that the voice from my dream? There's something different about it.

Ed headed down the stairs and into his car. He pulled out and left toward work. The exhaustion seemed to be gone for now, but something was still nagging at him.

After the first few steps, a voice called to him. Not by his name, a name he hadn't hear before. A name that he hadn't heard before, but somehow sounded familiar. Ed headed up the stairs avoiding the elevator as a start to help get into shape. Tired employees were passed by the jogger as well as others who were too focused on their monitors to care. He made it to his cubicle in record timing. It came up sharp on his right where he slowed to a stop to avoid over shooting it.

Looking into the cubicle, he realised he left is computer on. Inward he went to the chair where he sat right before the monitor.

"tau..." a voice whispered from outside the cubicle. Slowly he turned and looked out. He looked down both ways down the rows of cubicles. There was nothing, just the glowing from other monitors. He turned back around slowly to his monitor and opened a google webpage. There he typed in the name t-a-o. Taoism, Tao resturaunt, tao Las Vegas; nothing special here; maybe thats not how its spelled. T-a-u. The results came up.

His eyes shifted from left to right as he read the brief descriptions, until one came up that peaked his interest.

Fabled name of a legendary warrior between worlds of real and unreal, otherwise known as the dream warrior. Ed continued to read. There have been few people in history who have claimed to be the fabled Tau warrior, but each was executed for satanic posessions in the 1800s. The last person who claimed to be the Tau warrior was burned at the stake, before this last person was burned, he exclaimed that the Tau warrior would return every one hundred years, as an unsuspecting civilian.

The chair tilted back as he leaned finishing the short article. Thats it? Nothing else? How's that supposed to help?

Ed sighed and closed the internet window and opened the scripting program and began work.

Closing time, after eight hours of tiring typing and constant thinking, quitting time finally arrived. With a swift stand, Ed was up and moving. The voice stopped calling after nearly two hours, and Ed felt relieved the voice had gone after a while. Leaving GameSoft, Ed had turned the corner into a 7/11 where he picked up a small diet coke. He drank it in the solitude of his home.

_______Update 3_______

He sat on the sofa and laid on his side staring at the powered off television. Sleep was overcoming, but not overpowering. Slowly he rose to his feet and walked to the restroom and did his business. He proceeded out into the living room and dropped over the sofa and slowly drifted off into sleep.

There was no sound of water running, only scampering the of mice. His vision was not as burry as it had been, he could make out the figures around him; a small rolled up mat and a table with small assortments on it. There was no sunshine filled hut. It was a small prison, much smaller than the hut. He rose to his feet and sumbled around the room, leaning against the walls for support. He followed the walls until he came across a door. His slightly blurred vision was now clear as crystal. Ed checked his clothes, his clothes had been missing, and he wore tattered garbs made from what liiked like cow hide.

His legs shook and his arms quivered, it was cold and his muscles seemed new to him. He couldn't hold himself up for long before he collapsed on to his hands and knees, and slid down onto his fulll front. The stone flooring was cold against his face.

"What horrible nightmare is this?" He asked himself aloud. There was a small window he could look out of over the city. Inch by inch he crawled toward the window. Only a few more feet to go. The bars were almost within reach. The sound of a large chain and latch unhooked from the other side of the door.Ed tried to roll over and look to see who was coming. The door swung open to reveal a large armored figure. The armor was a shining dark blue with gold seems and a coat of arms on the left shoulder. There was something not normal about this armored night. What was that behind him swaying back and forth. A TAIL!!

The temporary form of paralysis wore off from the shock. Ed backed up against the wall not knowing what to expect. The knight ducked under the low doorway and stepped in. He wasn't even human, he was a large grey wolf. The muscles on the wolf were massive. His muzzle extended outward into a sneer at the lowly human.

"Get up slave, your new master has arrived to take you to your new residence." The wolf said with contempt, "A lowly human like you should have been killed, you don't deserve to live among the master race, not even as a slave."

"Wha- What are you?"

"What am I? I'm about to kick your puny ass if you don't get the hell out of my dungeon! GET MOVING!"

Ed slinked off the wall, around the guard and out the door. He looked left and right down the hall, the right was a dead end, and there was an opened door to the left. The guard approached the human and shoved him out the door. Ed wasn't prepared and was thrown off balance and slid across the floor and scrambled to his feet. The guard gave a vicious sneer and slammed the iron barred door behind him.

Where the fuck am I? This place wasn't home. These weren't people, they were animals. He saw vixens on their hind legs walking around as well as wolves and bears, there was a wide range of animals in this place, all walking... WALKING!

"YOU!" An elderly fox called to him. He felt bewilderment as he spun looking at the large city of huts, tents, and markets. This was is all just too much to handle, Ed thought, and that was his last as he passed out from shock.

_______Update 4_______

His eyes opened slowly as he came to. It was midnight. The crickets chirped out side and the occasional car drove past. Ed lay still on the couch as he stared out the window at the blackened sky.

He didn't want to fall asleep. That place was strange, animals walking like humans, treating humans as pets, slaves, and God knows what else. Hunt for sport maybe.

What horrid place was that? Sleep was overcoming again. He struggled to keep his eyes opened, but to no avail.

Sunlight shone through an open window. He could hear horses trotting by outside as well as cows mooing.

"Get up slave." Came a familiar voice from behind. It was the guard, "you're mine now. When you passed out yesterday, your master had to carry you home. She had a fuckin' heart attack and died," The wolf said with a sneer, "Now I'm stuck with you, because my mate didn't want me to kill you."

"Your mate?" Ed asked trying not to let his voice crack.

"Yes, my mate. The one I hold dearest," The wolf said with a sneer, "You had better know our names if you want to last long, I'm Rellik, and my mate is Herryion, and she'll be home from the market soon, as soon as she gets here, you get your ass out there and help her with whatever she needs done. When the day's work is done, you are free to roam around the city, and be back for your supper. You aren't of any use to us starving to death."

Ed swallowed hard. "Yes sir."

"Don't call me sir, its disrespectful in this city; calling an beast by a man's word, the nerve."

"Ok, I'm sorry Rellik."

"Good, wait outside for her, I don't want your human scent filling my nose any longer, your place is out in back with the pigs." Rellik pointed out the door into the dusty street. "Around the corner to the left there is a pig pen, there is a cot in the corner, as well as a pillow and blanket, don't lose them, it gets cold at nights."

"So what is it I need to do?" Ed asked quietly trying not to disturb Rellik too much. His question was answered with a deathly stare and silence.

"Whats your name slave? Calling you 'slave' gets very annoying."

Ed shook slightly and responded, "Ed."

"Well 'Ed'," Rellik said in a mocking manner, "here comes my love now."

Ed turned and saw a young black woman walking toward him. She has voluptuous breasts, fox ears and a vixen tail, as well as a perfectly rounded ass. Ed couldn't help but stare; ears tail and all. A force hit him in the back of the head, knocking him to the floor.

"Keep your eyes in your head and off my mate, Ed."

Ed scrambled to his feet and forward to Herryion to help grab what she needed help with. Ed tried not to stare at her as she approached. She stopped moving as soon as he reched her.

"Who are you?" She asked with an look of confusion across her face.

"I'm Ed, uh, your new slave." He said, humbbled by her glorious presence.

"Oh good, take these inside," she said handing him two bags of groceries, including familiar fruits and meats. This was an all new experience.

I can't believe this. one day I'm happ-... His thoughts stopped dead. I wasn't happy there, this could be a whole new start for me. His heart skipped a beat as excitment overwhelmed. But, can I really start over after all I've built for myself at home? It- Its nothing compared to here, this land of adventure, limitless possibilities.

"Is magic possible here?" Ed asked following closely behind Herryion.

She gave him a confused look. "You grew up here, you should know."

"I'm not from herem I grew up an another land, where there are no beasts that roam free, they live inside cages and walk on four legs and not two. And- and- and- and buildings nearly as tall as the sky! Called skyscrapers!"

Herryion turned and looked at Ed with bewilderment. "Aww, you come from a place like this and still believe in something as childish and magic? How cute!" Ed felt a shallow disappointment, but nothing too serious. He followed her into the housing where he helped put each grocery away where Herryion told him to so he knew for next time.

There's nothing really left to do," she politely said, "so I guess you're free to roam around, don't look into other's eyes, its considered disrespectful, and don't let Rellik get to you, he may seem like a hardass, but deep down, once you get to know eachother well enough, he's more of a sweetheart."

"Heh, yeah, i'll bet." Ed said with a smirk.

"He is, you just have to earn his respect, thats all."

_______Update 5_______

"How am I supposed to do that?" Ed asked thoughtfully.

Herryion stopped to think for a minute before finally responding, "Every man and beast has a chance to shine, Rellik had his long ago. He only respects those who grasp that moment, just as he did."

_______Update 6_______

"Hmmm..." Ed thought about what this could mean, "thanks for the information about him, I think I'll take a stroll through the city, er, village."

Herryion's tail wagged a bit, "Ok then Ed, try not to get in any trouble." She turned and walked into the hut where Rellik sat inside meditating on a small unrolled straw mat.

Ed turned and walked down the dusty street as beasts walked past. He couldn't help but stare as they strolled past him. Several beasts gave him a mean stare, and others hit him as they passed. Ed whirled around to see who it was, but each time he turned, the beast was gone. Slowly he turned back toward the hut where he ran passed many beasts who stopped to watch him run past. Several laughed as they watched. The hut approached quickly as he ran. He jumped the small fencing around the pig pen in back, and he jumped into the cot. The run tired him, and he soon fell asleep.

His eyes shot open as he shot up into an upright position on the couch. He looked around to find the pig pen gone.

_______Update 7_______

It was noon. There were no beasts, only Ed in an empty house. It wasn't a home, it only seemed to be an empty shell. He once thought of this place as home, but now it only seemed empty. He liked it here, but now he wasn't sure. Was this place real, or was the other place real?

Who am I kidding? This place is real, the other place is just a dream. Why did I like it though? That place was awful, treating humans as slaves. ANIMALS! TREATING ME AS A SLAVE! I don't believe it anyway. This place is real, no other place. This other place is just my imagination.

After a while, these thoughts escaped from him, they only seemed insignificant and meaningless. Ed rose from the couch and walked outside. It was cool outside.

_______Update 8_______

There was a light rain outside. Each individual rain drop left a cooling sensation on his revealed arms. It was a welcomed sensation and wasn't greeted with an umbrella, but a smile instead. Ed walked silently in the rainaround the corner to the neighborhood park. The grass was still covered with dew drops this late in the day from the light rain outside. There was no one at the park in sight. Several chimneys were lit, the smoke rose out slowly and the smell was powerful. Ed could smell the burning wood from blocks away. Ed soon found himself getting comfortable on a park bench under a tree. The drops of rain fell through unto the lone being and the bench on which he sat.

"ED!" A voice called from behind him. He turned to look, but there was no one in sight. Something is going on, he knew it, but did it have something to do with his dreams, or was he just going crazy? "ED! WAKE UP!" Ed cupped his hands over his ears.

I AM AWAKE! This thought was running through his mind. I need to try not to avoid drawing attention to myself in crowds if this keeps up.

"WAKE UP DAMNIT!" The voice was ringing in his ears under his hands. The voice was booming. His ears ached.

Eventually, the voice subsided. His ears still ached and rang although the voice had gone. Ed had gotten off the park bench and ran home as if to save the humilliation of others staring at him. Once inside, he entered the kitchen. He hadn't eaten in almost a day. All he had was a Coke ,which the empty bottle laid next to the couch he slept on.

In the kitchen he looked into the fridge and removed a premade sandwhich wrapped in seran wrap. It was quickly unwrapped and eaten. It was saturday afternoon with no big plans. Same with Sundays, no plans. There was no family he could contact to talk with, he had no real friends. Only his sleep, which had violently turned against him.

A sweet voice had called to him in his sleep in the beginning, a voice that let him know everything was going to be alright. Soon after that sweet voice left, he was dealt with blows and punches being treated as a slave. life seemed to become unfair lately, both consciously and unconsciously.

_______Update 9_______

The trash was dumped and Ed had turned and sat down on the couch. The tv was directly across the room, and Ed didn't feel like watching tv. He needed a release, life was becoming too much. He jumped to his feet and ran to the kitchen. He went to the cabinet and grabbed plates. The back door flung open as he marched out and began throwing the plates at the brick wall that seperated his yard from the alleyway. One after the other flew in a circular motion toward the brick wall.

_______Update 10_______

Plate after plate was thrown and shattered. The stack of plates got smaller and smaller, until eventually, there were none left. Ed stared at the mess he made as the sun glimmered off each individual shard left. The mess didn't concern him, neither did the threat it posed to any bare feet that tread across its path.

This act of rage and relief had tired him. He had hoped in doing this he would become tired. Sleep had seemed to be an escape, no matter how bad it had gotten. Ed proceeded inside sluggishly. The couch? The chair? The bed; the bed sounded much more comfortable than these other places of comfort. Sleep was all he could seem to think about, how it no longer comforted him, but was still needed. He climbed slowly into bed and was soon asleep.

_______Update 11_______

Rellik stood over him eyes blazing in a furious rage. "WAKE UP SLAVE!"

"Sorry Rellik." Ed jumped up and out of the cot instantly. Whenever Rellik called him 'slave', he knew Rellik was angry. It hadn't taken him long to grasp this concept. 'Slave' when he was angry, and Ed at all other times. He grasped this concept quickly. Rellik was easy to read. His face read like a book, but of course, Ed had only seen him when he was angry.

"Rellik, don't be so hard on him." Ed spun around and saw Herryion come up from behind. She moved swiftly and silently with a brilliant smile on her face. She looked rather beautiful, ears tail and all. He didn't mind the ears and tail before, he actually liked them, he just wasn't ready for the shock of seeing ears and a tail before. Ed quickly averted his eyes to avoid angering Rellik further than he had.

How did I angered Rellik? This question plagued his mind for a while before he finally gave up wondering about it. A voice did call to me when I was awake... Was that Rellik trying to wake me up, er, call me to sleep? That had to be it, why else would he be so angry? He was right.

Relliks ears lowered and the anger ran from his face. He appeared calm after she spoke. She walked slowly up to him and pressed herself against his unarmored chest. Ed realized that this was the first time he saw Rellik without his armor. His muscles were more toned than he had thought they were at first. She raised herself to her toes and kissed his muzzle softly.

"Why do you have to be so hard on poor little Ed? You weren't always so cruel toward humans since you know who."

"He hasn't earned my respect yet." Rellik said looking at Ed with a small sneer across his muzzle.

You know who, Ed wondered, Who could that be?

"Why don't you train him?" Herryion whispered into one of his long ears. Ed witness both his ears go down and his tail stop wagging. Rellik was quiet. He appeared to be deep in thought.

"I vowed never to train another human after the last one, you know that," Rellik, lowered himself to Herry's ear level so Ed couldn't hear and whispered, "besides, I already have once before. My training failed the last human, so I made my vow, and I'm not about to break it."

Ed stood silently, hoping to hear what Rellik had said, but he couldn't, so he just stood silently. They exchanged whispers but Herryion's look only saddened.

"Well I guess there's no changing your mind, so forget it." Herryion turned away and walked off.

Rellik watched her walk away and he turned and looked at Ed. He sighed and walked after Herryion, leaving Ed to himself. Ed stood watching. After a short while, Rellik returned.

"Ed, we have no need of a slave. Get out of here." Rellik turned and walked into the pigpen, grabbing the blanket and pillow. He tossed the two items to Ed. Ed caught them and stood dumbfounded. Rellik turned and walked away.

Ed stood and slowly turned. As he turned all the way around, he stood face to face with another man that had a satchel over his shoulder.

"Oh good, another human! Where am I?"

"Uh, I don't know the name, all I know is its near Archosaur, this place isn't even on the map."

"Theres a map! thank god! do you have an extra I can have?"

"Um, sure, I guess, you can have it once you give this letter to..." the man looked at a letter he held, "Rellik and Herryion."

"Sure thing." Ed grabbed the letter and took off around the hut after Rellik and Herryion. He didn't see the grizzled wolf or his mate anywhere. His head swivled fast, and he turned back and ran to the hut door. Rellik sat inside with Herryion, enjoying a drink from a small clay cup. Herryion looked up and saw Ed at the door.

"Come on in Ed, Rellik just told me that he emancipated you." She rubbed his shoulder, but Rellik refused to turn and aknowledge Ed's presence.

Ed walked in slowly looking around the small room. "I thank you for the welcoming, but this letter came in for you two."

Herryion reached forward, and Ed handed the letter to her. She smiled and opened it. Her read faster after the first two lines. "Rellik, its from Shaylee! She's coming home!"

Rellik's ears perked up and he quickly snatched the letter from Herryion and read it faster than she had. He jumped to his feet and nearly jumped with joy. There was a door on the other side of the room that Rellik ran to. He flung it open and nearly broke the hinges. There was a small room with a neatly made bed inside. He kneeled down and reached under the bed. He pulled out a small wooden box. He reached inside and pulled out a small doll and dagger. He stopped his excited movement, holding doll in one hand and dagger in the other.

Ed stared at Rellik watching him hold the two items. He had never figured The grizzled wolf to be the sentimental type. Rellik slid the doll into a chest pocket and the dagger into his waist holder. The box was pushed back under the bed and Rellik rose to his feet and walked calmly out. He knew Ed had watched, but he didn't care.

_______Update 12_______

Rellik smiled at Ed,

[Writer's Block; 3/11/10 - 3/16/10]

_______Update 13_______

Something Ed never though he'd see in his lifetime since he'd ended up in this rotten place. This place had seemed alright, but how he had been treated completely changed his mind. The few times when the sound of running water filling his ears ran through his mind, and he had felt at peace. At least he was free after only a few days. It hadn't taken long, but it had seemed like forever.

Ed turned to walk out the door, but Rellik placed his massive fur covered hand on Ed's shoulder. Rellik reached into a chest pocket under his armor. He pulled out a dagger and placed it in Ed's hands.

"Ed, I'm sorry I was so hard on you. I wasn't always like that, if our paths cross again, I'll tell you more, but not now. Please thake this as my 'formal apology'."

Ed grasped the sharpened blade by the handle. It was a black blade with gold decor on the handle running up the blade, flowering out to the edges of the ebony dagger. It was magnificent, that was all he could describe it as.

_______Update 14_______

The dagger felt heavy in his hand as he held it. His fingers curled around the handle and lowered his hand.

"Thank you Rellik, my stay wasn't too bad, but i'll be on my way now, If I return, hopefully we will be equals."

"We are equals, others only look down on humans because not one human has ever done anything to prove his worth in this place."

_______Update 15_______

"I plan on moving out and around for a while, or maybe I'll stay here a while and prove myself somehow."

Rellik grinned. "I'm still sorry for how I treated you still, please stay as long as you like, you can still stay in the pen out back, at least until you can get on your feet."

"Rellik, Herryion; thank you for your new found hospitality." Ed said with a slight chuckle.

_______Update 16_______

Rellik and Herryion looked at eachother in a slight confoundment. Ed turned and moved toward the door, and walked out. He only looked back to see the wolf and fox wrapped in eachother's arms. Ed could feel the anticipation eminating from them in the room.

He stepped around the back of the hut the two lived in and strolled toward the pen. The cot in the pen was there, waiting for him to lie down. He didn't want to go to sleep, but something he couldn't see, a forcce of a sort, was pulling him, making his eye lids heavy. The cot felt hard beneath his weight, but it didn't matter. As his eyes closed, he heard footsteps rushing. Ed opened his eyes just in tim to see a battle ravaged man in tattered clothes approaching the hut, before his eyes closed again.

Opening his eyes, he knew he was back home. To his mediocre house, to his less-than-average car, his annoying job, back to reality. This place was hell, not his dreams. the alarm clock was beeping, a sound all too familiar. 8:00. Time to get up, time to get moving. He put day old clothes on and walked out thhe door to his car.

The car started and he pulled out of his parking stall and drove down the alley. The sun was rising and he could see shadows from the rising trees swaying on the floor of the alley way. Something about the shadows didn't seem right though. Looking up at the trees, he saw palm trees. Down on the floor, the shadows were from pine trees! Quickly he looked up and back down, from the trees to the shadows. The shadows were of palm trees.

"Somebody's fuckin' with me, they've got to be!" Ed clenched the steering wheel in his fists and tightened his eyes shut. He opened his eyes to see smokey shadowy figures of the wolf and fox lovers, standing in front of the car. He slammed on the brakes and they vanished.

The drive was long, traffic from here to L.A.

_______Update 17_______

Another accident on the freeway. Fender bender, nothing serious. He wondered why people would cause the freeway to come to a stop
