A New Life in a New Body

The Interrogation

Well I had a restless night last night. I kept waking up; some sort of terror was gripping me. After two in the morning I gave up the hope of having a good night sleep and so I decided to go and walk around. I just didn't know why I just couldn't sleep; I haven't had bad dreams since the accident. When that happened I couldn't wake up, a week of being in hell I never want to go back.

The appearance of those sniffers makes me worried. They shouldn't have been able to find us. Sooner or later we are going to have to start a war with the humans but that requires a talk with the council. They are a bunch of pansies, they love peace and happiness. They won't ever get the humans respect that way.

I wanted to talk to the Sniffers that had showed up yesterday. They looked a little different than the other Sniffers I had ever seen before. I walked down to the holding area, they have answers and I have questions. A perfect combination, if I think they are lying to me I'll just kick their ass till I get my questions answered.

I got to the door and the guards moved out of my way. I walked on in and went into the first room. The Sniffer that was in there was apparently waiting for me, for he seemed unsurprised to see me. He had a scar across his face and was really scruffy, like he hadn't been in a modern area for at least a month.

"So looks like you people finally started to want to ask questions," The Sniffer said.

"Well, it's just me. I want some answers," I said rather briskly.

"Well duh, you wouldn't be here if you didn't want answers to your questions," He said.

"Right, well why are you supposed to kill us I think that there might be something more than racism involved though it is possible it is just that," I asked.

"Well let me tell you something it is in your genes, your mutated genes," he said.

"What do you mean," I asked.

"Jesus are you that thick headed? Your genes basically make you reborn you will live for over a hundred more years," he said frustrated.

"Is this the reason why you kill us," I asked.

"Part of it, the other part is..." he never finished.

Dambit, he must have been killed by them. They really don't care about anybody do they? I mean they just kill anybody they want don't they. I think that they see everybody as expendable. I mean just look at this guy they just killed him out of the fact that he was about to spill the beans.

I feel that they would do the same thing to the rest of them, so I left. It just didn't make me feel any better they keep the more human people ignorant, and the less human under lock and key of death. It makes me sick to the stomach, but did he really mean what he said? Just then I came across Sherri, who had a ring on her finger.

"Oh just the person I wanted to see," she said.

"What do you want to see me for," I asked.

"Chris just proposed to me last night," She said excitedly.

"Wow congratulations, I guess you said yes," I said.

"Well I was hesitant before I said yes," she admitted.

"Look you know how I feel about you," I said, "I like you as a sister nothing more. We have had conversations that went this way before. It doesn't go over that well, so let's not go down it again."

"Are you sure that it will work between you two," Sherri asked.

"Well if we come across any problems I won't give up on her or our relationship. Chris feels the same way towards you and you know that that's what you need," I told her.

"That's just what you would say," Sherri said and stormed off.

Wow I'm surprised she didn't hit me. Well I continued to walk around. Not much else happened. I finally was tired enough to fall asleep so I went back and went to bed. It was a peaceful rest just like every other day I had.
