Look at it again
See you not the beauty of Death?
How the shadow must hide a light.
You know Life till the final breath,
Yet you speak of Death in the night.
I came to you from far away,
Came from calmer, carefree hills.
Look at my face and see the play
Of the light that from heaven spills.
I challenge you, I challenge all,
I challenge those there before me.
I ask you join me in the fall.
As from the heart of hope I flee.
I give my gift as there you lie.
I begin my story anew.
A gift for which many would die.
As now my dear must you.
I give freedom, I give you peace,
I hope you choose to use them well.
I see your face. Without a crease.
I'll next see you and it in hell.
So if ever you wonder: 'Why?'
The knife unused upon the sill.
Ask of me and I'll tell no lie.
I only ever meant you ill.
What was it that it was that made
me turn from that most subtle knife.
I left the dream that could not fade.
The taking of your precious life.
Why do I wish to have it all,
Just so I can throw it away.
At temptation I did fall.
I am only a child at play.
Forgive me now for telling truth,
As rainbows fly from roof to roof,
And horses lie, with golden hoof.
A child's dream. That is your proof?
I love you yes? I love you not?
My dreams, my heart, they never stop.
The answer becomes clear at last.
I hide my heart, I hide it fast.
So now you see why you were spared.
I know now that love is fake.
As is all that man does make.
My thoughts were only for myself,
I have no need for dreams of wealth.
For the future I am prepared.
Sing with me as we make our stand.
Forget the past just come and fall.
Tonight will you please hold my hand,
It never mattered, not at all.

.
'I do not see beauty in Death.
How can the shadow hide a light?
I feel your heart; I feel your breath,
Yet I fear the coming night.'

Hope you like it. It's old but I thought it might excuse my absence.
