I blame the guys over in Silver and Bone for this! Someone jokingly suggested treat catching should be a challenge and I totally took it as a personal one. Then, with the first paragraph bringing out a laugh, they demanded an encore. Who was I to refuse? It seems take two was a bit messy, though far more meaty! :9Silver & Bone
Embarrassingly Meaty

Lykanos delicately balanced the dainty morsel upon the bridge his nose. Though tantalized by the fragrance of the tasty treat, he behaved, listening to the commands of the one who placed it. Licking his lips caused the hunk of meat to wobble, but with his masterful balance he kept it in place. As soon as the order was given, he flicked his nose up. The chunk of divine steak lingered for just a moment before the flash of teeth yanked it from the air. OMNOMNOM!
Due to his prowess with the first hunk of beef, it was decided that Lykanos should try again. This time the reward was greater, though more intense. A half slab of steak was lain across the tip of his nose, the weight awkward and uneven. The werewolf whined as he was forced to wait, a few seconds turned to thirty, and then a full minute. Through strength of will he held out, eager to please, eager for the reward. When the call rang out, he was so excited! Too excited. The strange shape and odd balance worked against him. The marvelous gift rolled, plopping right into his face, covering his right eye. He may have looked silly, but Lykanos wasn't defeated. With a roll of the head, he dropped the morsel, snagging it daintily with the tips of his teeth. With a quick flick of the jaw, his reward was gone, tongue lapping up the side of his face to clean the juices from his muzzle.
