Law-st...
Law-st...
Awoken in a maze
I stumble & mumble among thoughts in a daze
An aroma of something needed guides each uncertain step toward another turn
Knowing not where I am, I seem to have all the time in the world to burn
Shadows follow whispers just out of range to make out
With each new corner, a new group of options comes up, leaving a wrong sensation of wanting to simply shout
In the midst of everything, I can hear someone beginning, & ending to sing
Muffled just before & after, it's a noise from above the farthest rafter, like a bell struck that can't seem to ring...
Somehow, even now, just as it's made a noise never heard by anyone living
It follows the same path as the scent of another moment of hope, one still giving
Keeping away the uncertainty found so easily in this place
It's as if someone, somewhere is leading the way, though they've forgotten their own face
Eyes that can see beyond the blinks of time in this nightmare come true to reality
It reaches out with each silent shout, a moment met with nothing more than overwhelming brutality
It's the softest, strongest touch one can feel
A ghost to most, though the few know, it's quite real
Disturbed only by continuous action
It helps end those who've lost their way among time, & its dissatisfaction...
An entrance or exit I now see
I simply have to decide, what to with what "lies" before me
Why not set it free, & stay till another takes my turn in this realm of uncertainty & fear
After all, the puzzled steps are now clear
I should be able to find my way back any amount of times I wanted
So, I decide to stay & hide, waiting for the next person, forever ready with this task, undaunted...
Among the tree leaves swaying, I hear a "thank you", & "goodbye"
Though, it seems to look my way...forever asking...simply...why...
The question I need not answer ever, since I've taken my choice to heart
The answer is unable to describe correctly, in this final part...
"Decisions are like visions...
No two alike, no two need to be...
They are but repeated scenarios of time, with outcomes always new to those who thought less of why, & how, beyond what they chose to see..."
