The Seasons of Loss - short poem

It's been a rough year, so here's my first completed vent poem in awhile. Earlier this year I heard my step-grandmother passed away. Then a few months later I nearly lost the life I've been building for two years. Followed by the news of Ish's grandmother. Then tonight I learned that my grandfather is extremely ill and there's likely not much that can be done. So, I'm thinking he won't make it longer than a month. I do hope this poem turned out well. I wrote this on 8/25/2017.

The end of winter,

Cold and harsh,

Ripped my heart to shreds.

As Spring arrived,

The tears were sewn,

Never meant to hold.

Summer's heat,

Proved too much,

All bonds I hold must die.

Now here I sit,

Legs forever still,

Waiting for Autumn's breeze.

The last wave of heat,

Adds another scar,

As he draws his final breath.
