Forever Blue: Part I
"Heads & Tails"
The young raccoon walked solemnly along the side of the road, weighted down by the troubles that took place during his depressing day. He was a decent height, around 5foot 5inches, and very slender, with a tail that wagged fervently behind him. A lot of people believed that he couldn't even control his tail at all, that it was just as psychotic as that crazy bird that lived next door to him.
He stopped abruptly and looked around, his bright blue eyes shinning out from behind his furry black mask. He saw a squirrel that he recognized from school that morning, he remembered him because of his soft bushy tail that was as big as he was.
The squirrel was a new kid in town, only a freshman too. His name was Chip, short for his full name, Chipperdale, which he obviously didn't like to be called. He had just moved to Fairrington from Murbleville, a town quite a distance to the east. And he didn't know anyone around here...
"Hi Chip!" the raccoon shouted out to the squirrel.
Chip looked surprised that the handsome raccoon even remembered him; he faintly waved back, "H-Hello Rozzy." Chip said to the raccoon a little shaky.
Rozzy ran up to him and smiled really big, "Its nice seeing you outside of school, huh. I had kind of a crummy day, wanna go hang out at the mall or something?" Rozzy said to the skittish little squirrel.
"Uh, sure, I'd be glad to" Chip said as a small grin to his furry little face. He was happy that at least someone liked him, and wanted to be around him. All day the only attention he got was from the other kids at school that made fun of his name... Chipperdale Carrington, not a very popular name, but it was the name of his great Grandpa. Even kids at his old school made fun of his name, so he was used to it by now, he tried not to let it get to him. But Rozzy seemed different than the rest. From the people he hangs out with you could say he was popular and well liked. Something different about him though... he is taller than chip by at least 5 inches, and he had a psychotic tail that was amusing to watch fidgeting all over the place. But the one thing that stood out most was his shimmering blue eyes...they stood out against the black fur on his face. Chip was just mesmerized by them.
He shook his head, "so what would u like to do? I don't know much of what there is to do around here," chip asked trailing off and looking around nervously.
"Oh well, we could just go to my house and play video games. I just need to be around someone today..." Rozzy said, looking away towards the ground.
"Yeah me too," said the squirrel, " I don't think they like me too much... the other kids at school I mean..." Chip looked off to the side at a group of kids walking away from the school on the opposite side of the street.
"Don't mind them, they're never nice to new people in our school. I was there once too, back when I was a freshman. I moved here from Darelind 3 years ago. It just takes a while for people to warm up around here is all." Rozzy said as he put his paw on the top of Chip's head and ruffled his fur as they walked down the side of the street.
"So you're a junior? Wow, I never would have thought you were higher than a sophomore. I figured because I see you hanging out with kids in my classes," Chip said back excitedly as he fixed his head fur. He walked fast to keep up with Rozzy, because he took big strides instead of small steps like him.
"Yeah I'm a junior. I just hang out with people I get along with. I thought I'd do something with you today. I'm in a bad place today and I really just needed someone to talk to... I'm glad I ran into you..." Rozzy said as they approached a white picket fence. He unlatched it and let Chip through, then closed the gate after he had made his way through himself. When they got into the house Rozzy took Chips bag and books and placed them on a table near the door, " we'll just leave these right here, not like we're gonna be studying or anything," Rozzy said with a laugh.
"This is a very nice house Roz... who do you live with? Mom and Dad?" Chip asked as he stared around the room and awing all the nice decorations and furniture.
"I live with my Aunt, my parents both died, but ill keep that to myself for now. But anyway enough about me," Rozzy put his arm around Chip's shoulder and started walking up the stairs, "lets just hang out and get to know each other better, u seem like a really nice person and I hate to see people all alone. My room is upstairs, follow me okay?" Rozzy took his arm off Chip's shoulder and started to lead him up the stairs looking back every once in a while and smile with his shinning blue eyes radiating a light like... as if only Chip could see it but... it wasn't there... Just part of his subconscious mesmerized by this warm hearted person... he invited him into his home without question and actually wanted to get to know him,..
Chip had been so alone for a long time he thought to himself, "Maybe now someone will actually care for me... Rozzy seems so sweet... I just wish I could tell him I was gay... id kill for a boyfriend like him..." He shook his head and continued thinking, " come on Chip... why would he like u that way anyway, he's a handsome raccoon... a popular one at that, what in hell could I have to offer him..."
Rozzy opened the door down the hallway from the stairs into his room, which had clothes strewn about the floor and used dishes and silverware on the desk and coffee table. It was like a train wreck but only in someone's bedroom.
Chip snickered a little as he looked around, "a little messy, eh?"
Rozzy glared at him a little, "hey get off my back, don't turn into my aunt now," he chuckled a little bit... but deep down inside he was thinking to himself...
"He's so cute... I wish I could just tell him but what position am I in to tell him I'm gay, I just met him for Christ's sake. But he's got the most beautiful fucking green eyes I've ever seen... fluffy orange fur, so cute... I wonder what he thinks about me... he probably can't stand me at all, I'm so hopeless." Rozzy sighed loudly.
"Something wrong Roz? You seem a little depressed..." Chip said with concern as he tried to get Rozzy's eyes to tell him what was really going on.
"Ah, It's nothing don't worry about it. You up for a game? I've got Goldeneye already in the system." Rozzy said grinning at Chip.
"I LOVE THAT GAME!" Chip yelled as he tackled the controller and nuzzled it, " I bet I can kick your ass in it," he said grinning with an arrogant tone in his voice.
"Oh you can, can u? We'll just have to see about that wont we." Rozzy said picking up the controller and jokingly glaring at Chip with a giant grin on his face.
"LETS GO!" they shouted in unison.
