Was she worth it?
I should have went to bed but I wrote this unfinished stuff. I don't know what I'm doing.
Floating in the empty dark void, Jecko opens his eyes to see a gray robed figure in front of him that he has seen before.
"Fuck" he says. "I guess i died again."
The robed figure moves closer to Jecko, showing himself as the Reaper. "Mr. Jecko, I'm going to give you one last chance to finish the job. You shouldn't waste time with death himself." The reaper holds his scythe close to Jecko's neck. "Fail me again and I will not hesitate to make sure you stay dead."
Jecko (a 20 year old male, who lost his left arm and has a hole where his heart use to be.) stares at the face of reaper, in which is pure darkness. Not moving at all, knowing that touching the scythe will only bring more pain.
"It's not like i have a choice." As he closes his eyes slowly "I will get you the girl."
The Reaper lets out a small chuckle and fades away into black smoke.
Jecko opens his eyes to a rainning sky. "Wonder where he left me this time" As he slowly gets up and sees a large fountain to his right with a statue of what seems to be a Queen or princess. Around him is a few buildings only 2 stories high and made out of bricks.
"well this is a little different from the usual"
He is wearing a long slevee black coat, black pants and leather gloves. Reaching over at his left glove and taking it only half off. Seeing that his had is pitch black.
"Seems the Reaper has lent me some of his powers to use my missing hand. ha.. what a nice guy"
he lets out a little sigh and lifts up his shirt. Looking down to where his heart should be. Only to see a hole through his chest.
"Maybe not that nice"
As light slowly begins to fade, Jecko stand up and begins to walk. Headed North. In an unkown town.
30 mins pass and the rain does not let up. He hears foot steps behind him. At a paces that sounds like running. He quickly moves to the nearest building and posts up. Does not want to bring any attention to himself.
The steps sound closer and now sound like more then one person maybe coming. Keeping one open in the direction of the sound. He begins to make out a robed person running and what seems to be one more chasing behind with something in hand.
The first robed person passes him but not 3 feet away, they trip over a loose brick from the ground.
"ahhhh!" a female voice lets out.
Jecko thinking to him that he should mind his own business. Can't help but wonder whats about to happen.
The robed figure that was chasing her appers closer who is a little bit bigger then the average human. "an orc?" he whispers.
The orc rushes up to the female and grabs her by the hair. Lifting her high off the ground. "Isn't it pass your bed time little girl. Or do you think you can do as you please?"
He throws her back on the floor
She screams in pain "ahhh!!"
The orc laughs under his breath. while raising his right had that had a blunt object.
Jecko sighs again. "I'm just a dumbass" he quickly takes off his left glove and raises his had in the air. His eyes instantly turn pitch black. "No Time In Death" as the last word slips out of his month, everything around him freezes. The orc, the girl and the rain. has all stopped in place.
Jecko dashes foward. Slides next to the girl, picking her up quickly. As he lifts he can tell that she is only about 90 pounds and about 5' 4''. Standing up he runs just west of the direction it seemed like they were running. Only making it pass 2 houses as he runs into every floating rain drop on the way. Finding a small allyway between the houses, he puts her down gently.
Taking a deep breathe. Sits next to her. "From Time Is Only Pain" Instantly time goes back to normal, the rain contiues to fall. Hearing from the distance a long bang of the orcs blunt weapon hitting the floor.
The female in shock and trying to piece together where she is and where did the orc go. Turns to look at Jecko, about to panic.
Jecko covers her mouth with his right hand. "Don't... say.. a word.. i just.." looking away really quick as if he may puke "saved you." moves his had.
The females takes in everything he says but is still confused "how?" she whispers
Jecko looking away from her. Gets low to the ground and starts puking up blood, and lots.
