Chapter 6 - Something Old Something New....
Chapter 6 - Something Old... Something New.
The Thunder of Paradise slide closer and closer to the frigate, the ship was floating lifeless in space, no power or even stationary lights on. The docking bay doors of the Thunder opened, seven docking clamps slide into the darkness; their diamond fibre cords firmly attached in the thunders cable spools.
The clamps snapped onto the metal with the magnetic grips, the cables pulled tight and the Frigate was pulled into the docking bay of the Thunder; the bay doors sealing closed behind the ship. The frigate was then lowered to the deck below as the artificial gravity took hold of the small craft.
No sooner had the craft settled to the deck of the ship, was Skye at the doors, he pressed the sensor to open the door, but they were sealed, something had happened, the doors were welded shut.
"Skye I'm reading life signals within, they're weak." Becka replied.
Skye closed his eyes, picturing the inside of the jumper; there was a flash of light and he was gone.
The inside of the ship was a mess, there was scorch marks everywhere, it looked like a small battle was fought within. Skye examined the door, it was welded shut, the metal was fused together by something hotter than a missile, "Alex," he mumbled, knowing who had done it.
Something made Skye look down, there was an arm, sticking out from under some wreckage; Skye's photographic memory knew that anywhere...
"Lucas!" Skye shouted, using his telekinesis to wretch the metal off of him, he threw the metal aside.
Sitting alongside Lucas was, Alex, Evan and Spencer; whatever they had been fighting against, they had put up a good fight.
It was only then that Skye realized he had been holding his breath.
"There isn't any cabin pressure!" Skye shouted to Becka.
"That would explain the low vitals; you need to get them out of there!" She replied.
Skye grabbed the boys and squinted his eyes closed, he focused on the med bay, he blinked and they were in the med bay, the pile of them lying on the floor.
"Alex!" Skye shouted, as he rolled Alex's lifeless body onto his back, he looked at his perfect face, still the same as it was "That would explain the low vitals, you need to get them out of there!" She replied.
Skye grabbed the boys and squinted his eyes closed, he focused on the med bay, he blinked and they were in the med bay, the pile of them lying on the floor.
"Alex!" Skye shouted, as he rolled Alex's lifeless body onto his back, he looked at his perfect face, still the same as it was when he had last seen it. "Wake up!"
"Skye!" Ryan shouted, teleporting into the room.
"Help Lucas," Skye motioned.
"No you're too close with Alex, you're not thinking clearly, help Lucas, I've got Alex!" Ryan replied, pushing his thoughts into his brother.
Becka sent a few nanobot techs over to Spencer and Evan, their wounds seemed to be the least life threatening, just some cuts and a gash across their faces, both only was suffering from oxygen deprivation.
"Okay," Skye replied, as he crawled over to Lucas, his lifeless body limp, his blond hair covering his eyes.
Skye pushed the hair back, he closed his eyes and focused; Ryan did the same, this could only be done once, they had to make sure it was done right.
Ryan and Skye focused on their casualties injuries, internal and external, visualizing where everything was. They knew what had to be done, they focused on their elemental side; Skye's bodies dissolving into a being of white light, Ryan's becoming one of blue energy also. Both boys leaned down, placing their lips against Alex and Lucas', and blew a deep breath into their lungs.
As both boys exhaled, their energy flowed through their breath, down into the injured boys, flowing across every wound, both inside and out, the energy so pure it healed everything it touched, working its way down to their feet.
Both Lucas and Alex's eyes fluttered open, their colour returning, they both took in the sight in front of them, two beings of pure light blowing the breath of life into them. Skye and Ryan on the other hand regained their normal human bodies, their light being absorbed within them once again, leaving a wonderfully awkward situation behind as they still had lips locked.
Lucas groaned slightly, Skye could feel his tongue snake slightly into his mouth, running its way along his lips; no matter how hard Skye tried, this perfect angel was offering himself to him. Skye's tongue dances across Lucas' lightly, he didn't hold the kiss long, but it was long enough for both boys to feel the emotion passing between them.
Skye broke the kiss and looked over at Ryan who had just ended the kiss with Alex, "I can't believe you're okay!" Skye shouted, as he grabbed Alex and pulled him into a hug.
"Takes a little more than no oxygen to keep me down!" Alex replied.
"What happened in there? The Place was a wreck!" Skye commented.
"We were battered up pretty good with the black hole collapsing, we were thrown around pretty good too, but then a passing Draconian cruiser caught us off guard, we were able to destroy it, but we took quite the beating, the ship started leaking atmosphere through the main entrance, as I'm guessing you could tell." Spencer explained, finally speaking up.
"Yeah, I know Alex's terrible handy work when I see it!" Skye laughed as he playfully punched Alex's arm.
"You're not so graceful yourself!" Alex commented.
"Still do a better job than some people!" he laughed.
"Hey give me a computer and I'll show your graceful, give me thirty seconds with my flames... well you saw the door." Alex replied.
"So who is this?" Spencer asked, pointing to Josh.
"It's a long story," Skye laughed, "Should we tell them?" he asked Ryan.
"Might as well," Ryan replied.
"Wait for me!" Evan shouted, running into the room.
"What took you so long?" Skye asked.
"The nanobots took a little longer on my cuts, they're just so slow." He replied.
"Worked fine for me!" Spencer smirked.
Evan casually flipped him the finger and went over to sit in between his spread legs.
"Okay, if you guys are done," Skye interrupted, "His name is Josh, we found him on an away mission from Earth." Skye started.
"You guys made it to Earth?" Alex gasped, how?"
"The black hole practically dumped us out into high orbit, a really lucky break..." Skye answered.
Skye and Ryan filled in the once missing three boys, but in that same moment, Josh was taking in his new team mates, each of them sporting a killer smile, perfect bodies and the hottest looks he had ever seen, especially Spencer he thought.
"So how are you guys?" Ryan asked.
"Pretty good!" Evan replied, tilting hi head back to receive a kiss from Spencer.
"He's taken," Josh thought to himself.
Skye cocked his head, looking at Josh with deep contemplation, "I hope I'm t he only one who heard that," he thought to Josh.
Apparently nobody else did catch it, or they simply let it go, they all seemed to notice Josh turn a bright shade of pink when Skye sent that message to him.
"All right guys, enough time spent doing nothing, let's get some work done around here," Becka parented, "Skye you have a mess in machine shop 2, get on that."
"Yes mom," they laughed as they walked into their own areas, taking care of the mess or clutter that remained, Spencer, Evan and Alex wandered back into their frigate, gathering any useful supplies before they commissioned the nanobots to destroy and re-build.
Skye wandered into his mess in Machine shop 2, where he had several boxes of weapons scattered across the floor.
"So this is what you've been doing without me?" Alex asked, popping out from behind a box.
"Well that's not all, but life has been kinda dull." Skye replied.
"Well how about we spice it up?" Alex laughed, as he threw himself on Skye, knocking him backwards onto his back.
Skye attempted to say something when Alex sealed their lips together.
They kissed for a moment, before Skye broke off. "Alex, I've been thinking," Skye started.
"About what?" Alex asked.
"Us, I mean, look at what happened, we were apart for what seemed like years, we can't just rush back into things."
"Sure we can Skye, we love each other!"
"I'll be honest, I don't know anymore, ever since the last limit break, since I ascended, I don't feel much emotion, but my own, like I don't know what I want or something." Skye said with a sad expression.
"So let's work it out!" Alex sounded nervous.
"I don't think it's that simple, I think either you need to ascend, or an actual relationship wont work, I mean I'm down for kissing and making love, but I don't know if we can actually be together."
"Skye... are you breaking up with me?" Alex asked, tears in his eyes.
"Well, I think we were already broken up after the last limit break, I'm sorry Alex," Skye whispered, extending his emotions in a way where Alex could actually feel them.
"How are you doing that?" Alex asked, tearfully.
"That's what I mean, my emotions are fucked up, I don't know what to do with them, they do all sorts of weird things." Skye replied.
"So were still friends right!" Alex more so exclaimed.
"Of course!" Skye pulled Alex in tight, his emotions flooding into him.
"Friends with benefits?" Alex asked, somehow completely over the matter.
"Sure thing!" Skye exclaimed.
"Well then, where were we?" Alex asked, sealing his lips over Skye's once more.
"How can he be okay with all this?" Skye wondered.
"Because, I can wait, you can wait, we're practically immortal, why rush and worry over something like this, it'll pass." Alex replied, "Besides, can someone really love someone for an eternity, or does lust and desire take over after some time, looking for the spice of new life?" Alex asked.
"I honestly don't know Alex." Skye replied.
There was a loud crack across the room, Becka's voice echoed off the massive room's walls and high ceiling.
"Skye, black team, to the bridge please!"
"That walks going to kill me after a while! Alex sighed.
"Then come the fast way," Skye smirked, he closed his eyes, took Alex's hand and they blinked onto the bridge.
"You can do that?" Alex asked.
"Yeah, it's something I just learned." Skye explained.
"What's going on?" Alex asked.
"Well, this is one of the un-discovered planets in the ancient database," Becka explained, guesturing to the Earth-like planet on the viewscreen. There were lakes, oceans, mountains and clouds, almost an Earth. "We need to gather some information about it, and we could use some help."
"Okay, so let's do it." Alex replied.
"According to the readings we're receiving there is intelligent life, they have buildings similar to Earth, but we need to investigate possible resources." Serina replied.
"Atmosphere?" Evan asked.
"Normal, well slightly more rain than usual and it only has a 100 day cycle of their sun, so shorter days, longer nights, the usual." Serina replied.
"You guys up for an away mission so soon?" Becka asked, looking at Alex; she could tell they were itching for a chance to leave the ship.
"Hell yeah!" Evan shouted, "Let's go."
"All right, we will keep in contact through your neural feeds, no funny stuff now all right boys?" Becka warned.
"Fine we will behave..." Ryan sighed,
"How are we getting down there?" Spencer asked, "Ship or transport."
"Neither," Becka replied, "Skye wants to test his limits again, your flying down"
"How, through the atmosphere?" Evan laughed.
"Yeah, through the atmosphere!" Skye challenged.
"You fly into low orbit, gather gravity, once your free falling, close your wings around yourself, make a cocoon. The heat will glance off your scales, we can take a much higher temperature." Skye explained.
"What about the part where we smash into the surface?" Spencer countered.
"Well, either break formation at the lower atmosphere, or we can use our abilities to soften the blow." Skye replied.
"Why can't we just teleport?" Spencer asked.
"Fine you do it your way, anyone coming mine?" Skye asked.
"Me!" Ryan shouted.
"I'll try it," Alex replied.
"Josh I think you should stick with the teleport until you're comfortable with your morph forms." Becka suggested.
"Okay." Josh replied, dropping his head.
"Okay, teleport into space and ground op, in ten... nine...eight....seven...six...five." Becka counted.
"Jumping into hell!" Skye grinned.
"Four... three...two...one... Mark!" She shouted as a bright green light filled the bridge; once it cleared the boys were gone... on yet another adventure.
