Chapter 13: Bruised Bodies and Egos

The next morning, Toby rode his longboard to the commuter rail station, and he strapped his board onto his backpack. A thick mist blurred out most of the scenery, and water dripped off the shelter. As the train arrived, he could hear the horn blare through his headphones. He quickly hoped on and shown the conductor his pass before he sat down in his spot next to the window.

He pulled out his phone as his music was interrupted with a text alert. "I'll meet you at the quarry after work" Zoe texted.

There was another message that came up. "The Parasquad wants to watch too" she added.

He sighed heavily as the train jerked forth. "Alright, we're just sparing anyway right? Or also are we channeling?" he texted back.

He looked out the window as the train flew over a bridge and floodplain. His music was interrupted again, and he pulled his phone out. "I don't know what dad has planned, but I would say that we'll probably do channeling too" she replied.

He gritted his teeth and went back to listening to his music. After the train reached its terminus, he skated over to an awaiting light rail train, and he quickly boarded it before setting his board into his lap. The passengers stared at him in curiosity knowing just who he was, and some of them snuck pictures of him as the train departed the transit center.

He checked his phone just as Sasha's message popped up. "Good morning BB, have a good day at work" she texted.

He smiled as he replied back, "I'll see you later :-)" but when he lowered his phone, he was surrounded by a man and his son.

The man and his son both had a Tualatin t-shirt and a sharpie pen, and his son stared at him in shock. "Would you sign our shirts?" the man asked.

Toby looked around as everyone watched him carefully. He gulped and took the pen before he signed their shirts. He noticed that the train was a lot more crowded than usual, and he found out why as more people came over asking for his autograph.

As he got off the train, more people bugging him for autographs on the platform. He signed more on the elevator, and once he stepped out, there were droves of people waiting at the admission gates to the zoo. He ducked in the crowd of people as they got out of the elevator, and he looked at his phone to check the time.

His eyes widened in horror. "Shit!" he blurted out. He charged out of the horde and someone shouted something before everyone looked towards him and started trying to get his attention as he ran through the parking lot. He jumped the fence, and his boss waited with her arms crossed smirking.

She shook her head at him and followed him to the time clock inside. "Did you have anything to do with this?" she teased him.

He punched in, and he smiled awkwardly. "Hey, All I did was play a football game...nothing different than before" he said modestly.

She patted his back. "Someone from your school posted on Instagram that you worked here...People started showing up two hours before even I got here" she said with enthusiasm.

He raised an eyebrow. "Seriously? For a varsity high school football player?" he asked.

She playfully jabbed him the shoulder. "Yes, for a 5 star varsity high school football player who's been on nationally televised games and whose got videos post up the wazoo with highlight after highlight all over the internet" she said.

He stared at her before he grinned. "You think well be able to get that expansion?" he asked.

She grinned. "I've already got that settled" she said before she pulled out her tablet and showed him the map of the annex. "We're moving the Great Northwest Exhibits here. It's going to be much bigger than what we got now" she said before she looked at the time. "You get going super star!" she said.

He nodded before he rushed out of the building, but one of his coworkers pulled up with the maintenance vehicle and beckoned him to get on. He got into the passenger seat, and they sped off through the campus to the wolf exhibit. There was a densely packed crowd piled up on the deck, which he had no way to get onto the deck, so after he got out of the vehicle, he jumped the fence.

The wolves perked their ears up, and they all rushed up to him jumping onto him wagging their tails. He looked up at the crowd filming and taking pictures of the site. As he gave his lecture about wolves, the juveniles kept gnawing at his arm, and he finally started to play with them by pushing one off and pinning the young wolf to the ground as others pounced onto him nipping at his arms.

He rolled away and took off running, which they all took chase around the enclosure. As he made his way back around, he looked up at them. "As you can see, running away from any predator is a bad idea. They are built to chase things" he shouted as he ran passed them.

He stopped and turned back to run at them, which they evaded him and doubled back. As he ran around, his boss stood by the fence watching the guests' reactions to the spectacle. She crossed her arms over her chest as he ran back. He stopped in front of her and gulped as she looked at him anxiously. "Toby, you know how I feel about you exciting them too much" she warned him.

Just as he was about to respond the wolves caught up to him and started gnawing onto his arms and legs once more. He frowned and looked towards the wolves sternly before their ears pinned back, and they released him backing up while lowering their heads in submission. The people gawked at the control he had over the wolves, but his boss looked up clearing her throat. "I don't want them to get the wrong idea about wolves making great pets" she said sternly.

He nodded. "Alright...I'll make a little disclaimer from now on" he said before he went back to resume his lecture.

When he got off work, he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up as he waited for the elevator to the underground station. He turned around looking for the source of the disturbance, but the ones around him were humans who were several feet away.

As he got onto the train, his coworker sat across from him, which she looked at him carefully. He looked away trying to shake off this feeling, but after the train pulled out of the station, he saw his father's reflection in the window. He looked toward where the image came from, but no one was there. He stared into the empty void, which his coworker frowned. "What's wrong?" she asked.

He said nothing as the lights in the train flickered, and when he looked towards the end of the train, he saw his father once more. He stared at the entity for five minutes until they got out of the tunnel, which his father disappeared as soon as the sunlight hit him.

His coworker got frightened, and she nudged his arm. "Toby!" she raised her voice.

He looked up at her disoriented. "Yea, I'm fine" he said calmly.

She frowned skeptically. "Are you sure? You were looking like you were having a seizure" she said.

He regained his awareness and looked back at where he once saw his hallucination. "I'm sure...I guess it was the lights" he said lowly.

She nodded nervously. "Yea, that makes sense..." she said before she got up. "See ya later" she said before she got off the train. He waved back before he pulled his phone out to start playing some music.

Once he got home, he found Todd and Sasha wrestling in the front yard, which Zoe sat on the step watching in boredom. She watched him ride his longboard passed them, which she looked at her phone impatiently. She sighed heavily and jumped up to meet up with him. She stopped close by as he jumped off his board and picked it up.

He looked up, and she scowled at him with her arms crossed over her chest tapping her elbow impatiently. "Hurry up! I've been here for three hours already!" she shouted.

He raised an eyebrow. "You know what time I get off work" he said.

Her eye twitched. "They switched your hours, Baka!" she shouted before her nose flared. "Just get ready!" she grumbled at him as she pushed him towards his door.

His mother opened the door as he staggered in, and she looked at him oddly before she looked over at her sternly. "Stay aware out there" she warned her.

He looked over at his mother closely before he looked over at Tai sitting on the couch. He appeared to be very weary, but he remained quiet as he watched him rush into his room to change. As his mother walked inside, she let out a long sigh. "So are you going?" she asked him.

He looked up at her and nodded. "Yea, I think it would be a good idea. No sense in training without a teacher...right?" he asked.

She nodded before she looked up at Toby as he rushed back down the stairs. He stood up, and he put his cloak and mask on. "I'm going with your group, alright Toby?" he said.

Toby looked towards his mother who was rubbing her back in slight discomfort. She sighed heavily. "Your gear is in the garage..." she said wearily.

He nodded and ran into the garage, which Sasha walked inside and raised an eyebrow as the garage door slammed shut. She frowned noticing that Lilian was grimacing. "You didn't lift all those weights did you?" she asked.

Lilian shook her head. "I'm just sore from the pregnancy...I'm having twins this time" she said, which she looked over at Tai's reaction.

He forced a cough as all eyes looked at him. "Uh, that's good news, hun" he said lowly. He looked towards the door and gulped. "So...does Toby know?" he asked.

She shrugged as loud noises came from the garage. "I don't know...you can tell him if you want" she said before she smirked evilly.

He gulped as Toby walked out weighed down and padded up. "You're wearing all of that in one go?" he muttered in shock.

•••

Toby walked across the floor, which each step sounded as if a giant was going through the living room. He said nothing, and Tai grew more worried. Sasha eyed him closely as he stormed out of the house before she gulped. "I have a feeling he knows..." she muttered.

Lilian stared at the door as it was left ajar. "As least nothing's broken" she said cheerfully.

Zoe walked in already dressed into her gear, and she looked at them impatiently with. "I'm going to wait five more minutes" she shouted.

Sasha walked outside and smiled as Todd was chasing Toby around the driveway. She looked back at Zoe who was getting more irritable by the minute. "Are you alright?" she asked.

Zoe gritted her teeth as she watched Toby closely. "I'm fine...I just want him to take things seriously this time" she muttered. Her eye twitched as she clenched her fist tightly. "My dad said that Toby is stronger than me now...he should be able to lay good hits on me" she muttered.

Sasha frowned watching her best friend start to tear up. "I just hate it when someone goes soft on me because I'm a girl" she muttered.

Sasha touched her friend's shoulder gently. "You look like you could use some chocolate. You can have a piece can't you?" she asked.

Zoe stared at her before she quietly nodded her head, which she was whisked away into Sasha's bedroom. She stared at her surprised as she pulled out chocolate bars from her dresser. "Uh, thanks" she said as she took a chocolate bar from her and tore it open.

Sasha looked at her nervously as she swept up the bandages under her bed using her foot before she sat down with her hands in her lap. She watched her eat the bar quickly, and she gulped. "Um, Zoe?" she muttered as she began to blush brightly.

Zoe looked up at her and cocked her head, and Sasha cleared her throat. "Well, um...if I lose my virginity...will I have a risk of becoming a werewolf?" she asked.

Zoe stared at her shocked. "Uh...are you planning on using protection?" she asked.

"Of course I am!" she shrieked as she waved her hands in the air defensively. "I mean...if something happens" she recovered.

Zoe smirked. "I got ya" she said as she finished the bar of chocolate. "If you're nervous about him tearing the thing, why don't you put it on him? I don't know about werewolf splooge turning someone" she said with her mouth full.

She gulped. "I would ask Lilian, but I feel kind of awkward asking her about mating her son" she said slowly before her head sank down lowly realizing what she did.

Zoe snickered. "So you go to the one who has bedded him last?" she teased before she nudged her. "Hey, we're best buds!" she said happily before she touched her back gently. "Listen, I should ask his mom about this kind of thing, but my hunch is that you'd be fine" she said.

She sighed heavily. "Well, maybe Dr. Lovejoy could tell me" she muttered.

Zoe shrugged. "Sure, but his mom is easier to get to. She already knows what you two have been doing, nuff said" she added.

She rubbed her temple before she frowned. "I guess, but...this all seems weird to me" she muttered.

Zoe shrugged and got up. "It's mating season, and trust me, things can get a whole lot weirder than this" she said with a slight grin of amusement.

She stared at her confused before her eyes widened. "Weirder? How weird can it get?" she asked.

Zoe coughed before she cleared her throat. "Some wolves have open relationships, and well...there have been a couple orgies that Toby and I walked in on" she said before she laughed. "I wanted to gouge my eyes out so bad" she said as she looked at her eye twitch. "...Toby isn't that kind of wolf. He gave the same look you just did" she added.

She got up with her and sighed heavily. "Well I hope those things aren't common" she said.

Zoe laughed. "Well, you have to be into that kind of thing I guess. Though most times it's happens with the crowd who want to set themselves apart from humans. Just a big eff'you, you know?" she said plainly.

She nodded slowly. "I'd bet" she muttered as they walked downstairs. She looked towards her father who was watching sports highlights while eating Todd's hamburger meat. She stopped and noticed that the meat was raw, and he stared at her in horror before he hid the last of the meat into his mouth.

He quickly got up as Zoe walked down stairs, and he gulped. "Zoe, can I speak with you for a moment alone?" he said before he looked towards his daughter sternly.

Sasha looked between them nervously, and she left the two in the living room to talk. As she stepped outside she noticed her hunk of a boyfriend out maneuvering her slow and out of shape brother.

•••

Toby stopped within arm's length from her grinning exultantly. "You're going to have to be much faster if you want to touch me" he boasted.

She smirked evilly and slowly reached out for him. "Touch!" she said playfully poking his bicep giggling cutely.

He scowled at her and huffed. "You know how to get a guy when his guard is down, don't you?" he asked as he pouted.

She nodded smiling as she ran her finger over the noticeably larger convex shape his bicep. "Yep" she said thoughtfully as she bit her lip. She suddenly wrapped her arms around his trunk and leaned her head into his back, which he looked back at her oddly whilst she took in a drag off his scent. "You're such a good wolfie, I wouldn't pick other person to be with but you, Toby" she said.

He watched her closely as his instincts kicked in. "You make me feel so much stronger inside, Sasha" He said softly. He looked up at her brother who kept his distance away not being comfortable seeing this kind of romance.

She gripped onto his sides tighter and cooed happily before she began to scratch at his washboard abs. "You know...Maybe later we could you know...spend some alone time together" she said shyly. Her brother watched on in disgust as she romanced with her boyfriend, and he wished he could not hear how gushy she got with Toby.

He smiled as many devious thoughts crept into his head, and he gave her a nod with a wink. "I'm up for it" he said eagerly. She rotated around him and ran her hands up his chest onto his shoulders where she looked into his eyes deeply.

He leaned in to plant a passionate kiss on her lips before she reached up to grab his retreating neck, which she pulled his head towards her luscious lips. "I'll have a surprise for you...I hope you don't mind being blindfolded" she said with an alluring growl afterward.

He growled back at her deeply while running a hand over her hip. "Sounds like a good time for sure" he said before he planted another kiss on her lips, which by then, her brother was greatly disturbed by the conversation.

"Oh god! Quit being gross!" he shouted.

Percy and the others arrived, and he parked his purple Chevy Impala in the cul-de-sac before everyone quickly rushed out of the car. Clare rushed over wearing her glasses and dressed more casually just as Kari was. Percy was in a plaid shirt wearing thick glasses as well, and he looked around. "Where's Zoe?" he asked.

Just then, Zoe walked out of Sasha's house appearing awkward and confused. She looked up at Toby and shook her head at him as she walked over to the group. She let out a heavy sigh before she looked up at Percy amused trying to push away her argument with Sasha's father. "Rocking the old school hipster look, aren't ya Percy?" she teased him.

He looked away timidly before he laughed nervously. "Um, I-I" he said before she came over to slug him in the shoulder. "Ow...you know that really hurts" he muttered rubbing his shoulder.

She snickered before she gave him a seductive gaze. "You'll get over it" she said in an alluring tone before she hit him in the arm again.

"Hey! Ow! Quit it! I'm not built like Toby!" he whined as he rubbed his arm.

She crossed her arms over her chest grinning evilly. "Sorry, but you have no choice" she said as she looked back at Lilian and Tai as they walked down the driveway.

Todd looked over at them curiously as Lilian waddled over to see them off. Tai carried a backpack filled with food and supplies, which it was fit to burst at any moment. She placed a hand over her belly and smiled at her son warmly before she looked towards Sasha very closely.

Sasha gulped at mama wolf's thoughts, but she noticed a faint approving smile curve onto her lips. "Make sure Zoe doesn't bruise up Toby too bad" she said followed by a mischievous giggle.

Toby scowled and Tai started to head farther down the driveway. "Let's get going, we're burning daylight" he said, which Zoe scowled at him.

Todd was already down at the corner of the street looking back at them annoyed. "Come on! Let's go!!" he yelled impatiently.

Lilian shook her head at him before she smiled at the group. "Have fun!" she said optimistically.

Her son smiled and took his girlfriend's hand before they all walked a couple blocks, which they caught up with Tai and Todd. Percy cleared his throat as he looked between Zoe and Toby. "What is it like being a part wolf? Do you lose control of yourselves like everyone says?" he asked shyly.

Clare and Kari both watched them intently listening in on the conversation. Zoe looked back at him and smiled. "Well...being a werewolf has its perks and its drawbacks. As for our wolf traits and abilities, they just come to us naturally, but you just need to work on controlling them, nuff said" she said with a toothy grin.

Toby nodded. "Most often times, a werewolf who is scared of a part of them don't bother to work with their inner wolf and bottle it up. When you split yourself into two personalities, things turn into a struggle for dominance. If you embrace it, there's unity and stability" he said before he cleared his throat. "That punching thing Zoe does to you is just a werewolf's way in saying they like you" he said.

Zoe smirked. "So you must of really liked that Quarterback then if you hit him that hard" she teased. She batted her eyes at him mockingly before she looked over at Percy. "He's right though. We do like to beat on each other if we're good friends. Just don't get any ideas on hitting either of us out of the blue. That will get yourself killed" she said.

Percy rubbed his arm. "What do you mean? That was out of the blue!" he protested.

She shook her head at him. "No it wasn't...we already established we were playing when you laughed at my joke, so I punched you. Then you whined, so I had to punch you again" she said.

Percy looked between them confused. "So, I was watching wolves on YouTube, and I was wondering how much do you guys act like them? Is punching each other your version of play biting? Do you sniff each other or mark trees?" he asked. Toby and Zoe looked at each other embarrassed before Tai chortled loudly.

Sasha giggled. "If you know a werewolf long enough, you won't be able to tell what's wolf from man" she said before she smiled at Toby. "I notice a few wolf like behaviors from him and Zoe, but I never felt in any danger" she said before she leaned against him. "I've been feeling nervous away for him whenever he does act wolf like out in public" she said while reaching up to ruffle his chest while admiring his growth spurt.

They approached a fence, which Toby immediately helped Sasha over a fence before jumping over it himself. Zoe dumped Percy over and pushed him to the ground as she jumped over hm. "Watch it dork!" she shouted smirked at him as she bumped him once more.

Todd whimpered. "Hey wait! What about me!?" He shouted.

They all looked back, which Toby crossed his arms over his chest. "Stop whining. You can clear this fence easy, or you can just go around if you're going to be such a weenie about it" he said.

Todd nodded before he backed up to get a running start when he jumped. Todd screamed as he flew nearly sixty feet away into the trees quickly followed by a sudden thud. "Holy smokes...Todd!! Are you okay!?" his sister yelled.

Toby shook his head and grinning at Zoe. "Show off" He muttered as they walked to find him. They reached the drainage ditch Todd was on the side of the embankment lying on his stomach gasping for breath. Toby jumped over to him and shook him by the shoulders. "Get up! I know you're alright..." he said.

Todd had the wind knocked out of him, and he moaned as he got up slowly. "I had no idea..." He muttered still trying to gasp for breath.

Toby laughed. "Don't worry, you'll get used to your powers" He said slapping his back playfully. He slid down the embankment landing on the railroad ballast, and he looked at Todd impatiently. "Come on! Let's go!" he shouted.

Todd slid down the embankment and lost his balance at the bottom falling onto his hands. Tai shook his head at him smirking. "We'll make you a proper wolfman yet!" he said enthusiastically.

While they walked along the tracks, Sasha stared at the 15 acre half mile long swampy pond on the other side. You could hear the Bull frogs croaking, and she imitated the croaks only with a female tone. A heron was pretending to be a ninja in the shallows before it stared at the group. Todd looked at the heron squawked at it, which Toby glared at him.

Percy laughed to himself, and he nudged Zoe paying her back for knocking him down. "That was terrible...he sounded like a crow that smoked from a chimney for thirty years" he said.

Zoe grinned. "It sounds like a chew toy after my bother got done with it" she said before she nudged him back harder.

Sasha giggled at the two exchanging nudges. "Don't knock him in the pond!" she warned before she latched onto Toby's arm and nuzzled her head into his shoulder with this dreamy look on her face.

Zoe smirked at glanced over at Percy with evil intent. "Well there's an idea!" she said.

His eyes grew wide as she reached for him. "What are you...Nuh! Nuh! Nuh! Nooo!! Put me down!!" he hollered as she picked him up and hoist him over her head. "Oh shit! This is not fun!" he shouted.

"It is for me!" she remarked with a sassy smirk. "Oh? What's that? Is that a train coming?" she teased him. She snickered as he wriggled around in her grip, but she finally put him back down with a big impish grin.

Toby heard something off in the distance, and he looked back. "You know what? I think WES is coming...time to clear the tracks" He said.

"What? I can't hear you over Percy's whining!" Zoe shouted as she slugged him once more.

"Ow! Why do you keep hitting that same spot?" he muttered rubbing his arm.

"That's the whole point of the game. Sport!" she said before she slugged him again.

Tai snickered. "You know if she hurts the one she really likes. I would wear it as a badge of honor having a big gal like her hitting on me" he said before he looked back at them amused.

They all walked off the tracks and onto a path which Toby pulled out his phone checking his text messages while he waited patiently for the stragglers to catch up to him. A few seconds later, the train flew by from behind honking its horn. Sasha and the other humans watched the werewolves cringe while they all covered their sensitive ears. Kari and Clare were both amazed that Toby was spot-on with his call, and Percy looked at the destination sign on the train saying Salem.

"Well I'm awake" Toby shouted sarcastically as he rubbed his head.

Sasha looked at him worried. "You okay?" she asked spinning around in front of him to tend to him if need be.

He nodded slowly as he pulled his hands to his sides slowly. "Yea, I'll be alright. It's just that horn...and I didn't bring my ear buds! They usually blow their horns around here unless someone's too close to the tracks" he said lowly. He looked over at Percy very intensely, and he put his hands up defensively.

"Hey, don't look at me! I wasn't the last one!" he shrieked.

Zoe popped him in the back with her elbow. "You've been designated as the omega" she joked.

Toby got a loving back rub from his girlfriend, which he forgot why he was irritated. "You know, I'm amazed that you can deal with so much loud noises as it is" she said looking up at him with wonder.

Clare snickered. "That sounds like a smart idea to be wearing ear buds when you're going into town" she said sarcastically. She looked towards Sasha amused, and she winked. "I bet he's never had a near miss with him wearing them has he?" she said with a mischievous grin.

Sasha grinned and tried to hide a laugh, but he scowled at them causing her to lose all control erupting into a hysterical laughter. Clare and Kari joined in, and Zoe leaned in to add her own snide comment, "You better look both ways then jump across traffic!"

Percy looked at them confused. "What's going on now?" he asked as they stopped just short of a bridge over a pond, and they started to head up a little dirt trail onto a huge one acre opening patch of dirt that slopped up into a dense forest.

Zoe giggled. "Well, Sasha nearly made Toby her hood ornament..." she said with a big grin. "It was fun watching her follow him living under microscope..." she said before she looked towards Kari. "Kari always knew but didn't say anything" she said. Kari rubbed her shoulder nervously, which Clare rolled her eyes.

"We all knew" she chimed in.

"Yea, well Sasha was the first to say anything" Zoe said before Sasha laughed.

"Well, It wasn't easy to bring it up...Werewolves aren't my specialty. I honestly wasn't sure how the club would turn out with you two in it" she mentioned.

"No worries...If you make friends with a werewolf, they'll be loyal to you forever" Zoe said before she looked towards Percy evilly. "Forever!" she raised her voice to him with a crazy possessive tone. He froze up and stared at her with fear before Todd bumped into his leg.

"Are girl werewolves always that scary?" he asked.

Percy shrugged and Tai snickered. "I wouldn't call it scary. I would call it being laid back" he corrected him.

"Laid back!? He raised his voice in disbelief. Tai nodded with his arms crossed over his chest, which Todd shivered at the thought of a werewolf girl treating him like that. "Are boy werewolves supposed to like that sort of thing?" he asked.

Zoe glanced back at him oddly before she shook her head, and Tai laughed. "It doesn't bother me. It shouldn't bother you either" he said as they continued on.

When they continued on past the clearing, Percy looked back. "So, why are we training here?" he asked.

Zoe laughed at him. "Aren't you cute? That puny thing is too cramped. You have no idea how many times I threw Toby into that pond" she said before she pointed at herself. "We're much bigger wolves now, and we need something much bigger! Nuff said!" she said.

They arrived at an overlook of the entire 50 acre rock quarry, which they were perched on top of a sixty foot horseshoe cliff. Tai set the backpack down, and he looked at them sternly. "Listen, I'd rather not have you all get caught up in their sparring at this point, but you guys can watch them from here" he said.

The group pouted as Toby and Zoe began to stretch and run a warm up lap around the mile and a third dirt road that circumscribed the quarry rim. "Wow, they're already down there?" Kari remarked. Sasha found a log and sat on it admiring the view before the log got crowded by everyone else. "Sasha, how fast do you think they are going?" She asked.

Sasha shrugged. "Well...I know he can go faster than thirty-five miles an hour and do it for a long time. I'd say they're maybe going forty-five--fifty miles an hour" she said.

"Sounds about right" Tai chimed in. "I've heard the fastest of us can do a hundred in a short bursts. With proper running technique and a good surface and shoes they could run sixty for around five minutes. This place is good for them to work on wall-crawl technique and roof jumping. It's not the best for quick sudden movements however" he told them.

Toby and Zoe came back and opened their backpacks to pull out gallon jugs of water, and they did not drink modestly to say the least. "You ready?" Zoe asked as she shed her outer layer of clothing. Toby whipped the droplets of water off his face, and he nodded before he sat the jug beside Sasha's leg.

He looked up at her and smirked. "Alright, wish me luck" He said as he removed his shoes, shirt and shorts leaving him in his spandex suit. He sat his clothes on his backpack before he began to head off.

"Hey, wait!" She called out. She pulled out her phone and blushed. "Would it be okay for Terra to watch you guys practice channeling?" she asked.

He shrugged his shoulders and looked towards Tai, which he sighed. "It's up to you" he said as he sat on the end of the log. He unzipped the backpack and pulled out a baggy of jerky and goggles. "You know her friends more than I do..." he muttered as he munched on a strip of jerky.

Toby looked back towards her and gave her a nod, and she beamed with excitement. He walked over a couple yards away to where Zoe was waiting impatiently as Sasha sent a video call to Terra. When she answered, she looked puzzled. "What's up?" she muttered groggily.

Sasha grinned. "I think you'll want to see this" she muttered before she switched the camera to the one facing forward just as Zoe relaxed and started to focus on her energy. Terra's eyes widened before her jaw hit the floor as Toby did the same.

A light breeze quickly grew to a strong gale as it swirled around the two hurling dirt and pine needles around. Terra's mother craned her neck over her shoulder and stared with her mouth agape to match her daughter's. "Oh, wow...that's an amazing sight..." she muttered. Her daughter nodded slowly before her mother sat beside her. "You never get to see two strong vortexes side by side like this!" she said.

Her daughter nodded. "They are dancing around each other...how is that even possible?" she asked.

Her mother grinned. "This is the Fujiwara effect in full action" she said before she touched her chin inquiringly. "I've always thought they would have to be much closer, though" she muttered.

Tai grinned at the sight. "Perfect! Keep it up and try transforming at the same time!" he shouted.

Everyone shielded their eyes from the turbid wind as Toby and Zoe shifted into their therian forms stretching their specialized clothing to their limit. Terra held her hand over her mouth as her mother leaned her head in closer. "This is so cool!" she shouted as a blast of wind knocked Todd off the log.

The wind abated as Toby and Zoe faced each other. Tai pulled out special gauntlets and boots meant for sparring, and he walked over the two towering werewolves. "Alright, let me get these on you two before we forget" he said as he strapped the padding onto the two of them. "Go all out now" he shouted before he slapped at Toby's rump.

Sasha peered over at her boyfriend's shapely behind having very devious thoughts on how nice and form fitting the spandex like material shown off his assets. She glanced over at Clare and Kari who seemed to get just as much fan service as she did. Percy stared at Zoe not sure what to think, but he did have a positive response to it. "What happened?" Todd said.

The two titans charged at each other and began throwing punches, claws, kicks, and even their tails. Clare and Kari gawked at their fighting form and style, and Percy helped Todd back onto the log. When he turned back he saw Zoe tackling Toby to the ground, and she attempted to bite him. He barked and snarled before he kicked her off towards the edge. She slid across the dirt before she realized her gauntlets prevented her claws from digging into the soil. She yelped as her feet went over the rim until he grabbed her paw and lifted her up.

As he lifted her up, she pushed off the cliff forty-five degrees in relation with the wall away from the bottom. She flew over him using his grip as a tether before she threw him over her shoulder with all her might. He flew back and hit his back onto a two foot diameter tree trunk hard enough to crack bone and snap the tree at its base. He cringed and felt the tree falling forward, which he had to roll away from being crushed underneath. He looked up at her a couple feet away bearing her teeth at him. "Why aren't you giving me your all!?" she shouted.

He stood up and whimpered. "We're sparring...we aren't supposed to be actually fighting" he muttered as he rubbed his back. "I'm weighed down in case you haven't noticed!" he added.

Tai walked up to them with concern. "That's enough! You two!" he shouted. He looked towards Toby sternly, and he cleared his throat. "Are you alright?" he asked.

Toby whimpered softly and nodded before he picked himself back up. Tai sighed heavily and looked towards Zoe. "I think that'll do for now" he said. He looked back at Toby and shook his head at him. "Next time you shouldn't dump all the weights on you at the first training session" he said.

Zoe glared at Toby. "Are you freaking stupid!? Or are you just trying to fuck with me some more!" she shouted at him. She looked away and stared off into the distance. "All of them?" she muttered to herself in disbelief.

"Why don't you go back home and rest up? I'll spar with her and give Todd some training sessions" Tai said before he looked towards Todd eagerly.

Todd flinched as his name was mentioned, and he looked towards Sasha worried. She smiled at him as she ended her video call. "You'll do fine" she told him before she hopped off the log. She looked back at the others and frowned. "You guys alright if I leave?" she asked.

Clare nodded slowly as the others gawked at the two werewolves. Sasha rushed over to her injured lover, and she touched his paw lightly. "Let's go hun" she said softly as she led him off through the woods.

Zoe growled and charged Toby punching him in the abdomen. "You're not getting off that easy!" she shouted. She wrapped her fingers around Sasha's neck resting her claws near her carotid artery. "I'll make you take me seriously!" she shouted at him.

Sasha's eyes widened in horror and froze not sure what her angle was until she remembered the history between them with sparing. She reached up grabbing onto her wrist. Zoe's grip was tight, but it was not suffocating at all. She saw the hairs on his the back of his neck stand erect, and he bared his fangs at her. "Toby! Help me!" she uttered making it sound as if she actually was being choked.

Her friends gasped in horror believing that Sasha was about to be killed, but Tai was extremely irritated with the disturbing imagery. "Hey! Knock that shit off!" he shouted. Todd growled loudly feeling completely helpless as his sister was in grave danger.

"What the fuck are you doing!? Let her go before I lose my shit!" his voice boomed.

Zoe pulled her away. "Why? Have I struck a nerve? Why are you hesitating? Aren't you going to save your woman? Or are you just going to stand there like a defenseless whelp!" she said in a very threatening manner before she tightened her grip.

Sasha tightened her grip. "Ow! Zoe that's actually starting to hurt!" she said nervously.

He quickly grabbed Zoe by the throat, which she had to release her as he dragged her into the brush where he pinned her to a tree and punched her in the ribs cracking them. She let out a loud horrendous yelp before Tai ran over to separate them. "I told you two to knock that shit off!" he roared jumping onto Toby's back. He wrapped his arm around his neck putting him into a sleeper hold.

Sasha ran up to them and gulped. "Toby! I'm fine! She wasn't going to hurt me!" she shouted.

He pulled away from Zoe releasing her neck, and she fell to her knees surprised as she grabbed onto her side in pain. Tai scowled at her, but she glared back at him with great abhorrence.

"That was really stupid! What do you think everyone is going to think of you next time they see you? They don't understand what's going on!" he scolded her.

Zoe stood up and snarled. "My Dad wouldn't have stopped us! I'm not a defenseless pup!" she shouted.

"You haven't a fucking clue what kind of stunt you pulled! He was going to fucking kill you!" he bellowed.

"Tch, Like he could kill me!" she scoffed. "I could have held my own!" she said before she reverted to her human form.

He shook his head at her and crossed his arms over his chest. "You have no idea how PTSD works do you? Do you think he takes things lightly out because he thinks he's better than you? He's avoiding the thoughts of what happened on that night!" he said.

Zoe waked passed him. "Of course I know how it works! You're just too soft on him! If he's not going to give his all, maybe he shouldn't even be a gamma let alone be an alpha!" she said harshly. "I don't see him as being a pencil pusher. I see him as using it as an unstoppable force just itching to get out, nuff said" she muttered as she walked away.

He shook his head and rubbed his forehead with intense frustration. Sasha rubbed her shoulder feeling guilty, but she looked around noticing that Toby had disappeared. "I know about his dad dying--I didn't know he got PTSD from it" she said moving her hand over her heart remembering what happened with him and her father.

He looked back at her and frowned. "It wasn't entirely from his dad dying. During that night, he and his mother were being hunted. We found their car on the bottom of a cliff, and we think that they followed them for days. We found a body of a partially ate man and one of Steele's wolves. I don't know if it was Lilian who killed him, but there were smaller bite wounds and gouges on him and gunshot wounds to the wolf's side. Toby won't talk about it, but I suspect that the man snuck up on them while Lilian was hunting.

The wolf probably warned Toby to hide before it was shot, and Toby attacked him. We think that the wound to the man's neck was what killed him, but we don't know if Toby ate him. Lilian wouldn't tell us if they at the body. I don't think she would have" he said before he started off towards the rest of the group.

She gulped as she followed close behind. "So what will happen if you find out he ate him?" she asked.

He shrugged and looked at her sternly. "Nothing, he was threatened, and he made a fresh kill. The laws get a bit more lax out in the wilderness when it comes to eating people. It's called the Donner Clause. Toby will be protected under it...if he did" he said.

She shivered at the thought. "Just how lax is this law?" she asked.

He cleared his throat. "Well, it just states that if out in the wilderness during hardship, and you come across a deceased human, you can...well you get the idea. If you are being hunted, and you kill the hunter then you could technically eat them under that law. It's all about how they died not what happened after they died" he said as they arrived.

Todd gasped. "Werewolves eat people!?" he shouted.

Tai scowled at him. "Did you listen to the whole conversation!?" he raised his voice.

Todd shook his head, and the others were nervous around Zoe who was munching very loudly into her snacks. Sasha rolled her eyes at her brother before she looked back at her friends. "Have you seen Toby?" she asked. They shook their heads before Zoe glanced over at her.

"I wouldn't worry about him. He's probably off venting. He'll come back eventually" she said before she looked over at Tai oddly. "How come you never told me about them eating a dead person? Sounds badass if you ask me" she said.

Percy looked at them horrified. "What are you guys talking about?" he asked.

"They were talking about the Donner Clause" Todd blurted out.

Percy raised an eyebrow. "You mean those settlers who got stuck in the mountains and ate each other? That Donner?" he asked.

Sasha's eyes widened and looked over at Tai, which he nodded. "Yup, that's the one" he said before Zoe looked over at them.

"Hey, Sasha? You know that I would never try to harm you, right?" she asked.

Sasha nodded. "Of course...I trust you with my life, Zoe" she said before she walked up to her. "Toby's going to be really pissed at you though" she said before Zoe laughed.

"He'll get over it...Not the worst thing I've done" she said before she looked off to the side. "Would you talk to him about it?" she asked while she tapped her fingers together.

She nodded and looked over at Tai nervously. "So, where does Toby go to...you know?" she asked.

Tai shrugged. "I really don't know...but he'll turn up" he reassured her before he turned towards Todd. "Well, are you ready for your training?" he asked. Todd looked at him nervously before he nodded slowly. He looked over at Sasha apprehensively as he follow Tai to start what appeared to be very basic stuff.

She smiled at him before she glanced over at Zoe. "I'm going back to Toby's house; tell him that I want to see him there. I want to do something very special for him" she said.

"Like what?" Toby asked as he popped out of the forest. His knuckles had been stained with blood and there was some skin missing from repeatedly punching something. She approached him and grabbed onto his arm.

"Let's go, hun!" she said steadfastly. She pulled him away after he gathered his things. He was still very jumpy and nervous, but when she looked at him, she gave him a loving smile. His defenses dropped as she hummed to herself happily. "I think you're really going to love it" she said thoughtfully.

Later as they got back to his home, she left him to take a shower, so she could prepare something special for her wolfman. Upon getting out of the shower, he noticed her set a bag onto his desk. She looked at him and smiled pulling out a blindfold from her backpack. "Alright, it's my turn to make you feel good" she said eagerly before she tugged at his towel playfully. She blushed as it fell to his feet, and she stared at him for a while.

He took it from her before he put it on with her help. She pushed him over and giggled. "Okay now...get on your belly" she said. He did as he was told, which he heard ruffling of clothing followed by a squelch from a container. She climbed onto him, which he could feel her hands covered in some liquid that smelled like oils from a personal massage gel.

She worked her hands over his back, and he murred with satisfaction. When she leaned in to pull his arms out to work on, he could feel her breasts rest and mash into his back. His primal side wanted to get out as she kept up with her antics.

Her phone prompted an incoming text message, which she sighed and rubbed the excess oil onto his arm. She let out a loud stressed out groan before she set her phone back down. He frowned as she synced up her phone with his speaker to play music. "What's wrong?" he asked.

She leaned forward to resume giving him a massage. "My Grandparents are in town" she said before she started to play with his biceps. "They are staying until New Year's" she said.

He turned over in his bed and tried to remove his blindfold, and she grabbed his hand. "They are here now? For two months?" he asked.

"Yes, now sit still!" she raised her voice as she began to massage his chest. She leaned in to plant a kiss on his lips and mashed her breasts into his chest. "Focus on me, big bad" she said seductively.

He heard her rip something open and the scent of latex filled the air. He flinched and sat up. "What are you..." he muttered quickly before she touched his chest and pushed him back after she kissed him on the lips once more placing him into a deep passionate lip lock.

"Relax..." She said softly as she shimmied down his body. "...I want this" she said before she grabbed his girth and helped unravel the condom along his swollen length. "Unleash your beast upon me! Ravage me! Make me yours!" she whispered into his ears intensely.

He let out an eager growl while she grabbed onto him and align themselves for their first union. She hissed in discomfort as she began to plunge him into her, and he could feel her stretch around him. She growled and grunted before she stopped to collapse onto him and hold onto him tightly. He reached around to caress her back. "You alright?" he asked.

She let off a heavy sigh as she nodded into his shoulder. "It just hurts like hell trying to get it all in" she said.

He snickered as he patted her buttocks. "You don't need to fit it all, most is for show, hun" he said before he ran his fingers along her body up to her jawline where he pulled her in for a big smooch while he began his performance. She arched her back and gritted her teeth while moaning out loud with approval.

She began to mimic his movements as her breathing quickened. He watched her breast flail and slosh about with interest. She closed her eyes tightly and gasped while grasping his sides tightly, which she dug his nails into him as the passion arose. He let out a loud roar, and he bared his fangs at her. She opened her eyes to a fearsome sight as her lover had begun to transform, and she knew she was on the menu.

She shivered as he grabbed onto her hips, which she could feel his claws against her flesh. She felt electricity shoot from her hips to her nipples and her nether region, and her wolfman aided her movements by lifting and pushing her hips briskly. The bed ached and groaned to his immense strength, and her legs quivered. "Toby...that's...oh god!" she cried out as her toes curled and her fingernails dug into his back feeling as if she was on a wide ride.

He looked into her eyes evilly. "You wanted the beast! Here I am!" he shouted aggressively. She smiled back down at him and leaned in to kiss him on the lips.

Her mouth hung open and her breathing grew heavy and labored. "Toby! I'm..." she shouted as she instantly grabbed onto the back of his head. She pulled on his hair and closed her eyes letting out an orgasmic squeal as she lost all control of her body. She panted heavily and looked at him shocked. "...I'm sorry!" she said as she looked at the fur in her hand.

He slowed down and smirked at her. "Just go with it...I'm a werewolf remember...I like it when you let me know how good you feel" he said before he reached up to grope her breast. "I would be offended if you held yourself back" he added.

She blushed at him before she touched his face. "You bring out the animal in me" she said with lust. She leaned in to kiss him on the neck before she nibbled his ear. "I think I'm slowly becoming a shewolf myself" she said while winking at him.

He grinned before he caressed her back. "You certainly mate like one" he said before he resumed his performance. "Just hope that I don't make you walk funny by the time I'm done with ya!" he said with a toothy grin.

She shook her head at him. "Just hope you'll have fur left" she teased.

After an hour and a half of mating, Sasha found herself clutching onto tufts of fur belonging to an enormous attractive monster. He snoozed peacefully while holding her dear to him under the covers. Her phone soon vibrated, and she grumbled to herself not wanting this moment to end. She turned and tried to reach for her phone on the night stand. Her finger tapped it knocking it off, and she growled. "Shit!" she muttered.

He let out a wholesome chuckle as he began to stir from his slumber. "I've never heard you curse before" he said before he reached over her with his long arms and snatched her phone from the floor. "Here ya go" he said as he handed it to her.

She blushed as she took her phone from him. "Thank you, hun" she said before she checked her messages. "I didn't want to wake you up, dear" she said. She turned around to kiss him on the nose. "My Parents are back home...I'm going to have to go" she said as she crawled out of bed. She giggled to herself, while she got dressed. "I'm looking forward to being with you during mating season" she said before she gave him a seductive gaze.

He grinned evilly and snickered. "Oh, I'd bet" he replied before he sat up and the pain returned to his back. He winced and reached for his back as he got out of bed.

She glared at him and blocked him off from leaving the room. "You should rest. I'm not going to let you roam around when you're hurting" she said before she heard his stomach growl out loudly. She sighed heavily and turned to leave the room. "Come on. Let's get you fed" she said lowly.

He touched her shoulder and stopped her in her tracks. "Why are you so worried all of the sudden? You know I've been through so much worse" he said before she turned to shoot him an annoyed look. He froze and gulped at her sudden change in mood. "Uh, I mean...I don't like making you worry all the time" he said nervously.

She frowned and shook her head. "You're just going to have to deal with it, Toby! I'm your girlfriend!" she spoke sternly. She turned back and looked him in the eyes intensely. "I have a right to worry about by boyfriend's wellbeing! Especially when they are as stubborn as you!" she said before she turned bright red as her eyes wondered down his nude form. "Put some clothes on, hun" she said before she put on one of his shirts.

She stuffed her breasts back into her undersized bra, which they looked like muffins instead of something being supported wholly. She slipped the rest of her other supplies into her backpack before she smiled back at him. "You don't mind if I wear your shirt for a nightgown, will you?" she asked.

He looked at her confused. "You know, I've already worn that shirt today right?" he asked as he quickly got his shorts back on.

She blushed. "Um, yea...I know...Is that okay? It'll help me sleep" she asked as she slid his t-shirt over her curvy frame. "I sleep better when you're with me...I thought maybe your smell would do the trick" she said timidly. She giggled to herself noticing just how big his shirt was. "Plus, my boobs look a lot smaller when I wear this..." she said.

He gulped seeing that she had already helped herself to his shirt, which he sighed heavily. "Yea, you can wear it, but my shirt can't substitute me" he said.

She scowled at him. "Don't remind me! But it's just going to have to make do for now" she said before she gulped looking at the shirt. "This isn't too weird is it?" she asked as she slipped on Portland Trail Blazer jersey shorts that hid her thicker thighs. She was getting subconscious about the couple of pounds she put on, but she was glad that her boyfriend did not mind. Deep down however, she feared that she might end up looking like her mother. She did not want to ever get that unhealthy.

He shrugged. "Nah, it's not the weird to me...but I've gotten used to all things weird" he said before he walked with her down the stairs. "Just don't be making a shrine out of my shirt" he teased. She punched him in the shoulder blade playfully, and he looked back at her amused. "What?" he shouted.

"Just go eat you goofball!" she shouted.

The next morning, Sasha woke up to her dog licking her face and whimpering. She giggled and scratched behind her dog's ear. "You got to go potty?" she asked. Her dog wagged her tail and barked running towards the door. She smiled and got out of her bed stretching, which her dog looked back at her while pawing at the door.

Her grandmother opened the door, and she smiled warmly at her. "Oh, you're up early" she said with her Dublin accent. She stared at the oversized shirt that Sasha was wearing, and she raised an eyebrow. "Where did you get that t-shirt from?" she asked. Sasha gulped as her grandmother was staring at her chest. "Do you need a set of new bras, dear?" she asked.

Sasha gulped before she nodded. "Yea, but they don't carry anything bigger here in the states" she said before her grandmother laughed.

"I can get you fitted, don't worry about that" Her grandmother said before she frowned. "Is there something else?" she asked.

Sasha gulped. "Um...I don't want y'all to freak out, but they haven't stopped growing like they were supposed to. They feel normal, but you know about that DNA test they gave me after you had cancer..." she said before her grandmother crossed her arms over her chest.

"Just because you have the gene, it doesn't mean you'll get cancer. If you live a healthy life, that gene will remain dormant" she said before Sasha cleared her throat.

"So, just how did you find out that you had cancer?" she asked.

Her grandmother sighed heavily. "I was feeling sore, and I went to have a mammogram. They found a spot, so they did a biopsy. Lucky for me it was early on. I've been fine ever since" she said as she touched her granddaughter's shoulder.

Sasha smiled faintly and let out a relieved sigh of relief. "Thanks" she said before she cleared her throat. "I measured myself, and I think I may have grown two cup sizes since you were last here" she said.

Her grandmother snickered. "Well, I'd say three" she teased. She cleared her throat. "So, um...have you been taking birth control pills since I last saw you?" she asked. Sasha's face went bright red and she nodded quickly, and her grandmother gulped. "I know when I started taking them, I gained some weight..." she said before she trailed off as Makita barked frantically downstairs.

They both wondered downstairs as her grandfather put his coat on and attached the leash to the dog. He picked up his freshly brewed cup of coffee and opened the door, which he looked up at Toby walking down the driveway as Makita pulled against her leash wanting to break free. "Heel!" he grunted trying to struggle between preserving his hot cup of Joe or restraining the hyperactive sled dog.

Sasha rushed over to burden the leash; however, it was too late as her dog broke free from his grip rushing over across the lawn to greet Toby. She jumped up against his side panting heavily with her tongue lulled out. He smirked and ruffled the fur on her shoulder before Sasha came out smiling awkwardly. "She really wanted to see you today for some reason" she said before she blushed with an amorous smile remembering what they did the night before.

He chuckled gently pushing the dog off before he sighed heavily. "She's a funny dog" he said before he looked up at her grandparents eyeing him with great interest. "Um...so...do they know about us?" he asked pointing between them.

She nodded quickly with a slight blush. "Yea, Grandma saw those Halloween pictures on mom's Facebook page, and she's been asking me questions..." she said before she laughed nervously. "She wants to have you over for Thanksgiving dinner with us" she said.

Her grandparents walked up to him eagerly, which her grandfather took a sip from his mug. "So this is Toby?" her grandfather asked with his Cape Breton dialect

"Wow, He's much bigger in person" her grandmother added.

"Your Grandma's Irish?" Toby whispered to her.

Her grandfather stroked his snow white goatee beaming brightly. "So, they let him level those kids like that!? He should be playing for my Argonauts!" he shouted with amusement.

"Uh, Thanks?" Toby said not sure whether or not to take it as a compliment.

Her grandmother giggled. "He's got a handsome voice, and it's really deep too. We really must have him and his family over for thanksgiving dinner" she said with approval.

He blushed. "Uh, So about thanksgiving..." he muttered before he was interrupted by her grandfather.

"How would you like to go hunting with us for our thanksgiving feast?" he asked.

Toby stared at him in shock before he looked towards Sasha in terror as she looked at him intensely. "Uh, hunting for what?" he wondered.

Her grandfather laughed. "For turkey of course!" he said.

Toby felt his mate reach behind his back to draw him down closer to her. "Go hunting with them. Okay?" she whispered to him sternly. He nodded back before she patted him on the shoulder roughly. "Looks like you're officially family" she told him proudly.

He looked at them nervously before he looked off into the distance as the train horn echoed through the trees. "Um, I'm going to be late for work" he said as he placed his longboard down. He looked up and smirked. "I'll see you around lil' red!" he shouted before he took off.

She grinned. "See ya later big bad!" she shouted back.

"He seems nice" her grandmother said happily, and Sasha giggled as her dog barked at Toby as he flew down the streets. "Wow, he's really fast too!" her grandmother added.

"Yea, it runs in his family" she said nervously, which her grandmother nodded and touched her back gently.
