Chapter 5: Show and Tell
The next day, Toby had to rush to school by foot having forgotten his skateboard in his locker. He started to run at normal human speed in front of Sasha's house, which her father watched him run passed his truck. As he drove on he noticed that Toby could run way beyond a normal teenage human's stamina. He looked down at the speedometer and raised an eyebrow as it read, "25 mph". "What the hell?" he muttered.
Toby looked over at him, which Sasha was in the passenger seat rubbing her forehead vigorously. He slowed up, and Todd watched him trail behind from the back seat of the truck. Once they were down the road a little more, he started off again. He blew passed them once they were stuck at a stop sign attempting to turn left onto a busy road. "There he goes!" Todd muttered as he flew across the busy road.
Sasha sank in her seat in embarrassment as her father looked over at her as if needing an explanation from her. He could not find any words to say as someone honked their horn at him. He continued to drive on as they saw Toby jumping over a gate and cut across another road into the school. He vanished into the crowd of students, and Sasha grabbed her backpack as he pulled into the driveway. "I'll see y'all later!" she shouted before she briskly rushed out of the truck.
She looked around just as Zoe caught up to her, which she frowned. "What's wrong Sasha?" she asked.
Sasha looked at her slightly annoyed and very flustered. "I told Toby to act normal around my dad, and what does he do? He flipping runs past his truck at ludicrous speed!" she raised her voice.
Zoe laughed. "Did he go to plaid?" she asked cheekily as she walked with her.
Sasha looked at her oddly before she smiled getting the reference. "Yes...yes he did" she said before she giggled.
Zoe shook her head with a smile. "Listen...just take my word of advice. Don't try to domesticate a wolf. Just admire their power and cunning" she said firmly.
Sasha scowled. "Put you seem so normal" she said.
Zoe stared at her. "Sure..." she said with slight sarcasm.
Sasha sighed heavily. "I guess you're right...I just don't want him getting into trouble" she said.
Zoe smiled widely. "So, I take it your date with him went really well?" she asked. Sasha's face went beet red before she nodded quickly. Zoe snickered to herself. "So will there be a second?" she asked. Sasha nodded once more, which Zoe nudged her playfully. "Was there any flirting?" she asked.
Sasha nodded. "We cuddled..." she said lowly.
Zoe looked up at her shocked. "What!? Seriously? Already" she raised her voice.
Sasha waved her hands down. "I don't know what I was doing...I-I-I was mad at him one moment then I got hot...I don't know what's wrong with me" she whispered nervously.
Zoe grinned. "Don't worry about it. Cuddling is always a good sign" she reaffirmed her.
Sasha smiled. "Well, I think I'm going to do it more often" she said as they entered their class together.

Later that day during lunch, Toby sat beside Sasha, and Kari looked up at them nervously. Sasha slyly leaned into him, and Zoe grinned. "So, I hear that you met her pops" she teased him.
Sasha laughed. "Oh yea...His mom scared the crap out of him. I thought my mom was scary!" she blurted out.
Kari gulped. "Did she turn into a wolf and threaten to gobble him up?" she asked.
He and Sasha looked at her oddly before Zoe laughed. "That sounds like something my dad would do" she said.
Sasha shook her head and smiled. "I thought she was going to, although Toby turned wolf instead. I had to drag him out before anyone saw him" she said.
Zoe raised an eyebrow. "You're pretty brave to be doing something like that" she said dramatically.
Sasha shrugged. "Well, you know...he wasn't pissed at me...um...did I do something bad?" she asked.
He slowly drank his chocolate milk not saying anything. Zoe shook her head. "No...I was just saying you're brave. That's an even better sign" she said. She looked towards Toby and smirked. "Yup, you two are very compatible, nuff said" she said proudly.
Kari smiled faintly. "Wasn't he scary?" she asked.
Sasha paused for a moment and tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Well, He was really handsome" she said as she began to daydream.
He suddenly erupted in to a coughing fit after nearly inhaling his carton of chocolate milk. Zoe snickered. "Not going to lie...he's one of the better looking ones" she said before she began thinking about the other wolves she's fought against.
Kari looked at him curiously. "Can he show me? Does he look like Wolfie?" she asked.
He pulled the carton up to his mouth slowly, while Zoe burst out laughing. "No...you'd piss yourself if he actually transforms that far" she said before she nudged him. He growled at her as milk ran down his chin. Zoe grinned evilly. "You're being quiet" she teased.
Sasha thought for a moment. "Would you?" she asked.
He stared at her in disbelief at her encouraging the group to pressure him. "Seriously?" he muttered. She nodded quickly, and he looked towards Zoe for help, which she grinned. "Uh...maybe later...I got to, um...walk...out of here" he said as he got up.
Kari pouted as Sasha got up to follow him. She frowned as he briskly walked to the front returning his tray while still finishing his chocolate milk. He turned just as she caught up to him. "Hey, you don't have to do it if you don't want to. I wasn't trying to push it, honest" she said.
He crushed his carton in his hand and chucked it over into the recycle bin. "I don't have a problem with it..." he said calmly. Sasha stared at him getting mixed signals, but he motioned for her to follow him. He walked outside and sat down on the grass, which as Sasha took care of her waste, a news reporter approached him.
She stepped out the door, and Zoe snuck beside her but stopped to watch. The reporter cleared her throat nervously as she took out her tablet. She looked at her notes and then at Toby. "Um...Excuse me, Toby. I'm Stephanie Campbell from CSN Northwest, Would you mind answering a couple questions about your up and coming game?" she asked.
He sighed and stood up, which the reporter's eyes widened along with the camera man. "Wow, you've gone through quite the growth spurt" she muttered before she looked at her notes. "How tall are you now?" she asked.
He shrugged. "6'4" I think" he said with uncertainty.
Stephanie stared at him. "You've got to be kidding me...you grew 6 inches since last year!?" she raised her voice.
The camera man laughed. "Stephy, I'm 6 feet even, and he's got a head on me" he said.
She looked back at him in astonishment. "Well...how much can you bench press Toby?" she asked.
He grinned. "A thou..." he said before he looked up at Zoe shaking her head. "Errr...six hundred kilos" he said before Zoe smacked herself in the forehead with frustration.
Stephanie laughed nervously. "Surely you mean pounds? Six hundred!? That's over twelve hundred pounds!" she remarked.
He laughed obliviously. "About a thousand three hundred twenty-three pounds to be more precise" he said before he looked towards Zoe for help, but she was too busy rubbing her forehead to notice him struggling.
Stephanie stared and gawked at him. "You got to be kidding me..." she muttered before she looked at her notes. "So, it says here you are on the Soccer team and the Cross Country Team? How are you able to get in all those practices and do all your school work?" she asked.
He raised an eyebrow. "Uh, I just do it later in the day. I do most on weekends" he said before he scratched the side of his head. "Practice isn't really that long anyway" he said nonchalantly.
She nodded. "Since you're close to Zoe Cooper, can you tell me what started that brawl back at the JV State Championship game last year? Is she still bitter?" she asked.
His sighed with irritation. "Yeah, I would too if some misogynist told me I'd do well in the lingerie league. I'd bash his head in too" he said.
She nodded. "What are we going to expect when you guys take the field on Friday?" she asked.
Zoe flew in and shoved Him over slightly. "Let's just say that the Catholic Church and Wolves don't really get along..." She interrupted.
He nodded. "Yea, that's true. We never did get along did we?" he asked.
She looked at him and sighed heavily hoping he would shut up. "...Anyway, they are just going to have to deal with a woman leading the squad that's going to put them in their place, nuff said" she said calmly.
He nodded, and Stephanie stared between them. "Um, alright then...well, how has Toby adjusted?" she asked.
Zoe smirked with satisfaction. "He's good enough...He's awesome with high tempo and running people over" she said before Toby tried to sneak off. She grabbed him by the shoulder. "...No, you don't!" she ordered him.
Toby shot her a malicious look, and Stephanie gulped. "You know...I think we're done with him" she said before she feigned a smile. "Thank you for your time" she said. Zoe glared at him as he walked off triumphantly.
Sasha grinned at him. "Poor Zoe..." she said before she pulled out her phone. "Hey, can I get your phone number?" she asked.
He blushed. "Um...its 971" she said before looked around noticing a crowd of students within five feet watching the interview. He pulled out his phone and gave it to her. She copied his number into her contacts before she handed it back to him.
She beamed with excitement. "Thanks, I just thought it would be a good idea, just in case" she said. He nodded quietly, but he scanned the crowd, which she frowned. "What's wrong?" she asked.
He motioned her to follow him as he left the crowd. Once he got a good distance away, he looked at her sternly. "Nothing is wrong...I'm just trying to avoid another interview" he said. He sighed heavily. "I let my guard down for a second and look what happened" he said.
She laughed. "Do you get them a lot?" she asked.
He sighed. "Not a whole lot, but a pet peeve of mine is having the same question asked in a short period of time...even if it's reworded" he said.
She nodded. "I see...well, I guess that can get annoying after a while" she said. She looked at her phone and sighed heavily with disappointment. "Well, looks like we only got five minutes" she said.
He looked at her curiously. "But it's only three hours until we'll...wait..." he muttered. His head sank down. "Scheiße" he muttered.
She smiled at him. "Oh, it's fine" she said cheerfully. She felt her heart race at his reaction to less time with her. "You did say practice was short" she reminded him.
He looked up at her and laughed. "I know, but I have homework on top of that, plus Zoe is trying to cram more freaking football plays in my head. I'm kind of done with it for now" he said beginning to grow irritated at the thought.
She nudged him. "Hey, you can handle it. I'm right next door anyway" she said.
He looked at her firmly. "Um...I thought you'd maybe like some variety. Maybe go on a hike or..." he said.
She giggled. "I was actually wondering if you'd come talk with my friends on Skype. I'm pretty sure they'd like to meet you" she said.
He stared at her. "Like a group call or I come over?" he asked.
She pushed for a moment. "Let's just have a group call...My dad is kind of nervous about you being in the house. I know he'll lose his lid if he catches you with me in my room with the door shut" she said.
He blushed. "Yeah, I really don't want to get shot" he said.
She laughed. "He won't shot ya, but he would scream at you with a gun or knife" she said before she touched his shoulder. "Are you alright with it?" she asked.
He scowled. "I don't know...Something tells me he's going to shoot me sometime soon" he said.
She rolled her eyes. "No, Skyping" she said.
He stared at her and smiled. "Oh, I guess it's okay" he said before the bell rang. "So...how's that color guard position going?" he asked.
She smirked. "I got it...It just so happened that one of the girls dropped out. I sent them an audition video of me in practice last year, and they let me in" she said proudly.
He grinned. "Nice, Now you'll be at the Big game then" he said.
She nodded. "Yup, I'm going to have fun watching you play" she said before she patted his shoulder. "I'll see you later" she said before she ran off to her class.
"Auf Wiedersehen! (Good bye!)" He shouted with a wave.
•••
Later that day, Sasha head was souring through the clouds as she waited for her color guard practice to start. The captain entered the gymnasium carrying portable speakers with a teacher. The captain's eyes locked onto her, and she smiled happily. "Wow, you're like fifteen minutes early" she said.
Sasha smiled. "Yea, I thought since there's only today and tomorrow, maybe y'all could show me what routines y'all are doing" she said.
The captain paused. "Well, I'm not worried about you. Most of our squad is new, so we've been doing the basics. We're just now getting onto the coordination" she said before she sat down beside her. "My name is Barbra by the way" she said happily. She cleared her throat. "I'm sorry about Olivia, but that's how cheerleaders act I guess" she said.
Sasha smirked. "Did you find out what Zoe did you her?" she asked.
Barbra looked over at the Teacher who was busy bringing in props before she leaned next to her ear. "I heard that Zoe purposely rammed her body into her as she walked passed her. It was so hard that a couple socks flew out her bra" she said.
Sasha stared at her bemused. "Socks? What was she doing with..." she muttered before a sadistic grin crept on her face. "Oh, wow! She stuffs her bras?" she asked.
Barbra nodded with a smile. "Yup, You've got like the biggest tits in the school, and she can't stand to have all the guys looking at you" she said before she leaned back.
Sasha snickered. "Thanks, I'm starting to feel even better today. I thought I could get away from the bullying, but I've made some good friends at least" she said.
Barbra giggled and her smile grew wider. "I can't believe you made friends with Zoe, and you're dating Toby too? How did you manage that?" she said.
Sasha looked at the floor and twiddled her thumbs. "Well...I guess they are just really good friends. Zoe was the one who coached him to ask me out. I would have thought a guy like him would be a lot more confident being his size and all" she said.
Barbra nodded. "Yea, he's always a shy guy...though, there's something about him that is a little intimidating to him. Though this year, it's gone past Zoe scary. I heard Henderson's lungs popped like a balloon" she said.
Sasha looked up at her and smiled. "Toby's a real sweet guy. He's nice to my brother. He's also really smart...and gentle..." she said trailing off in deep thought.
Barbra looked into her eyes and smiled. "You two really make a perfect couple" she complimented.
Sasha blushed. "Hey, it's only our first date!" she said quickly.
Barbra raised an eyebrow. "They say you form ninety percent of your impression of someone the first tenth of a second you meet them. You look like you're ready to go steady with him now" she said.
Sasha shrugged. "Yeah, but...I want something that lasts...I've only known him for a day" she said.
Barbra nodded before she pulled out her phone checking the time. She let out a frustrated growl. "Where are they!?" she raised her voice.
The teacher came up to her with measuring tape and tablet. "Do you know what your measurements are?" she asked.
Sasha blushed. "Yes, ma'am...I'm um...42-32-42 and 5 feet 6 inches" she said.
The teacher sighed. "And your bra size?" she asked. Sasha blushed even redder, which the teacher placed her hand on her hip. "Look, hun, this is how the form is filled. I have to get the order in soon. We don't have much on time" she said apathetically.
"42 triple D, ma'am" she said.
The teacher pecked away at the tablet before she smiled at her. "Thank you...I think we'll do alright. Should be in by Friday" she said. She looked at the group of students walking in gossiping, which the teacher was very unhappy. "You're late!" she boomed.
The students looked up at her worried. "Weren't we supposed to meet with the band today?" one asked.
The teacher shook her head. "They moved it to Thursday. I told you to write it in your schedule last week" she said.
Barbra got up and glared at them. "You can't keep showing up late! We have to get ready by Friday you guys!" she said before she looked towards Sasha. "I'd like for you to meet Sasha, she's been on Color guard for three years. Maybe you can learn a thing or two from her" she said sternly.
The teacher sighed heavily. "Alright...let's get started!" she shouted.
As practice was ending, Toby walked into the gym and sat down to watch them. Sasha did a much better job at focusing than the other students who were peeking over at him a couple times every minute. He pulled out his homework and calculator before he began to do his math. Barbra looked at the broken clock on the walk with annoyance before she rushed over to her phone to check the time.
Some of the students slacked off and began to chatter about Toby and Sasha. Sasha did not hear, but Toby most certainly did. They caught him glaring at them, and they lowered their voices hoping that he would not hear. He grumbled to himself and went back to working on the last couple of problem.
Barbra looked back at them and clapped her hands. "Alright, that's it! Great Job everyone!" she shouted.
Sasha looked over at him and smiled as she made her way to her backpack. She sat next to him as he finished the last problem. "What you doing there?" she asked cutely.
He looked up at her and sighed heavily. "I'm doing integral calculus" he said.
She stared at the strange symbols and trigonometry in his math problems. "My goodness...this looks like college stuff!" she muttered.
He nodded. "It is...I'm getting college credit from PCC doing this" he said.
She blushed. "I'm only in Algebra 2" she said timidly.
He smiled. "This is just the next couple steps up. I'm hoping to get into Statistics next Semester" he said.
She gulped. "Is this all your prep for being Alpha?" she asked.
He nodded. "Yup, they've been really pushing me to take challenging classes" he said as he put his homework into his backpack before he smiled back at her. "So how's Algebra 2 going for you?" he asked.
She blushed. "Um, well...I'm having some problems, but I'll find the solution" she said.
He laughed. "Are you positive?" she asked.
She paused and grinned. "I see what you did there" she said as he stood up. "I walked right into that one" she said.
He nodded. "I couldn't resist..." he said as he got up picking up his longboard, while he reached out to offer to help her up. She grinned and took his hand, before she looked at the eyes staring at them. She turned bright red as they walked out of the gym. "So what classes are you taking other than Algebra 2, Bio, and German?" he asked.
She grinned. "I've got Government, US History, Econ, and Global Studies" she said.
He thought for a moment. "I've got the same classes expect instead of German, I'm taking Psychology. You already know what math I'm taking" he said.
She pushed him playfully. "Hey, you aren't using any of that psych stuff on me, are ya?" she asked.
He laughed wholesomely. "Nah, we're diving into different types relationships. Though I'm learning a bit too much on why we are attracted to certain people" he said. He blushed as he looked at her intensely. "I'll use my powers for good" he said.
She grinned. "That's good" she said as he placed his longboard onto the cement.
He pointing to his board and snickered. "Hop on! I'll pull you" he said before she got on. She grabbed onto a loop on his backpack, and he started up slow and gently picked up speed. "Just tell me if I'm going to fast!" he said.
She giggled. "This is fine! Now mush!" she said playfully. Soon he was going faster than the cars on the street, which she laughed out loud with her hair blowing into the wind. "This is great! You really like you run don't you?" she asked. She gulped as she saw her father stopped at a stop sign, and she tried not to look as they flew past his truck. She looked back to see her father's perplexed and slightly annoyed look. She gulped as they weaved all over the road navigating the plethora of T-intersections that plagued the neighborhood.
Toby finally looked back to check on her, and she looked back at him nervously. "You alright? You kind of went quiet" he asked.
She nodded and smiled warmly. "It's nothing...I'm having fun" she said as they slowed down upon their approach to the driveway. She hopped off his longboard as they stopped outside her home, and she picked it up handing it to him. "I never had so much fun like this before" she said.
He took his board and looked into her eyes deeply. "I'm glad" he said before he leaned in to growl into her ear seductively. "I'm much more fun than what you've seen so far" he said. He looked over at her father pulling into the driveway, and he walked off giving her an alluring gaze.
"I'll text you my skype address!" she shouted.
He smirked and walked off raising his hand in the air. "See ya then" he said.
Her father parked his truck, and he got out of his truck slamming the door shut. She looked over at him worried as he watched Toby very closely as if he were a threat to the whole family. She walked behind him trying to sneak in undetected, but he cleared his throat gruffly. "So, How was practice?" he asked.
She stopped and looked back nervously. "Uh...It was slow..." she said before her mother walked out and smiled happily. She looked over at her mother and blushed. "Hey mom" she said.
Her mother opened the door wider to let her in, and she took her chance to go in. She listened behind the corner as her father crossed his arms over his chest. "Something is off about that boy" he said lowly.
Her mother raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And what makes you say that?" she asked skeptically.
He looked at her sternly. "That boy runs faster than thirty-five miles an hour...it's like he isn't human" he said grimly.
She rolled her eyes. "I know he's fast..." she said unimpressed. She smirked at him. "I made cheeseburger casserole" she said happily.
He grumbled to himself as he walked in the house. Sasha started texting on her phone to make herself seem preoccupied. She managed to text message Toby her contacts before her father walked in still fuming to himself. She looked up, and they made eye contact but said nothing to each other. He made his way into the garage and eerily left the door ajar. Her brother got up and walked over to the door. "Are you going hunting again?" he asked.
There was a loud, "Click-click" that emanated from the door. "You could say that..." the father said in an intimidating tone.
Her brother groaned. "Aw, what are you hunting for? Can I go?" he whined.
The father laughed. "No, I'm hunting for something much more dangerous than a deer! Something more cunning and elusive" he said.
Her brother gulped. "A bear?" he asked.
"No a wolf!" the father said semi-sarcastically.
"Eeep!" Sasha squealed. Her brother looked at her oddly, and she quickly rushed up the stairs knowing she made a ruckus. She went into her room and closed the door quietly before she sat on her bed and stared outside. She did not know why her heart felt like it was about to explode out of her chest, but she looked over at her laptop on her desk nervously.
Her mother opened the door and looked at her worried. "Are you alright?" she asked.
Sasha frowned. "I'm fine I guess" she said before she looked outside holding her arms together.
Her mother studied her daughter's reaction before she walked into the room to sit beside her. "Is it Toby?" she asked. Sasha nodded while still facing away, and her mother frowned. "What's up?" she asked.
Sasha let out a soft sigh. "I don't know...I just worry about him getting shot" she mumbled.
Her mother clenched her teeth and touched her daughter's shoulder. "He's not going to get shot" she said softly. She stood up and forced a smile. "He's too nice of a boy to be treating him like an animal" she said as she walked to the door. She looked back at her from the threshold. "Dinner's ready, hun" she said.
Sasha looked over at her and sighed. "Just give me a moment..." she said before she pulled her phone out.
Her mother looked at her phone and giggled to herself softly. "You texting him?" she asked. Sasha blushed and nodded. "Don't send any nude pics" she teased.
Sasha gasped. "Mom!" she shouted. Her mother snickered as she left the door ajar. Sasha sighed heavily as she pecked away at her phone. "Hey, what are you doing?" she texted.
She waited fifteen seconds before he replied, "Eating dinner, I should be on in an hour."
She smiled at his text. "You eating a cow over there?" she texted back.
Ten seconds passed before he answered, "Yes..."
She giggled. "You enjoy your feast ;)" she replied before she stuffed her phone into her pocket. She made her way back downstairs where her father and brother looked at her oddly as she sat down. She glared at her brother, and he looked away.
Her mother walked over with the glass pan of casserole and set it on the ceramic plate on the table. "Alright Todd...do you want to say grace?" she asked.
Sasha flinched as her phone began to vibrate loudly. Her father raised an eyebrow, but her mother cleared her throat as Todd stared at Sasha. Todd looked towards his mother and gulped. "Um...sure..." he said timidly.
Sasha slyly snuck her phone out of her pocket and checked her text messages as they prayed. "I'll see you then :P" he texted.
She smiled and slid her phone back into her pocket. Her father looked up at her before he was distracted by their dog pawing at the sliding glass door whimpering. "Makita, No!" he shouted.
Todd frowned. "Makita's been acting really weird since we got here" he remarked.
Sasha smiled. "We need to start walking her like we usually do" she said softly.
Her mother nodded before she smirked widely. "You know, that Toby likes to run fast. Maybe he can help with her walks" she joked. Her husband scowled at her as she grinned at him. Todd ran his fork over his casserole as he stared at them.
Sasha smiled. "You know...I think that would be a great idea. Makita really likes him" she said. Her mother winked at her, which her father's eye twitched.
"That boy is trouble! I just know it!" He said sternly. He looked towards his wife before he looked down at his food. "This looks great, dear" he mumbled. Sasha quickly but quietly ate her food, and when she got up to put her plate away, her father harshly cleared his throat. "Next time you go riding a longboard...wear a helmet" he said.
Sasha nodded slowly. "Yes, sir" she said nervously.
She walked passed him before he blurted out, "Always wear protection!"
Her mind began to wonder and her face became flushed. She rushed upstairs into her room flinging her laptop open. Her dog continued to whimper and make a disturbance in the backyard before someone finally let the dog in. Just as she logged into skype, her dog rushed in whipping the chair with her tail and panting jubilantly. "Ouch! Careful!" she scolded her dog as she put her headset on.
Soon she got a video call from her friends in as well. "Hey, Sasha! You told Toby to go on didn't you?" Kari asked.
Sasha nodded. "Yea, well, he's doing his homework right now" she said before she grinned. "Oh, this is Kari and Clare." she said. Most of them waved before a message appeared telling her username 'Eatswithwolves' was logged in. "Yay! Toby's on!" she announced.
Kari gulped nervously as the rest grinned ear to ear, and Clare brushed of cat hair off her black dress. Toby's window appeared, which he was extremely nervous. "Um...I didn't know there were going to be so many people on at once" he muttered.
Sasha giggled. "Why don't y'all introduce yourselves to Big Bad" she said.
DrkPriestess was black haired girl wearing black lipstick, simple white gown, and a pentagram necklace. Her green eyes scanned the screen with perked interest. "I sense an immense aura from him" she said before she grinned. "My name is Terra" she said with a soft calming voice.
Ninjachicken_0 stared at him, and he adjusted his thick rimmed glasses. "My name is Timothy" he said. He was very skinny and slightly feminine, and his giggled at Sasha. "Big Bad..." he mumbled.
GIR12 only stared at him intensely and bit her plump lips. She had very beautiful silky ebony skin and long and wavy hair. The others laughed at her as the only thing she could do was let out a small smitten squeak. "And the other one is Rea...she's became a real fan of yours" Sasha said with a wide grin.
Rea waved at him, and her sister craned her neck into the background. "Oh, that guy's really cute" she said. Rea's eyes went wide, and she growled at her sister. "Can you butt out!" she shouted as she pushed her sister away. She shook her head at her and sighed heavily. A bead of sweat rolled down her forehead. "It's hot in here..." she muttered.
Kari giggled. "It's nice to meet you all. Sasha has told me lots of things about you" she said.
"Likewise" Clare said.
Toby scowled. "So, I'm assuming you want me to give you guys a demonstration?" he asked abruptly.
They all looked gulped, and Sasha laughed nervously. "Um, are you guys alone now?" she asked. They all nodded slowly before Toby gulped. She looked back at her dog and sighed heavily. "Do whatever you're comfortable with, Toby" she said sweetly.
Toby held his arm up near the camera to display as closer look, and he soon grew fur and claws. Everyone's jaw hit the floor; although, Sasha grinned with satisfaction. Toby pulled his hand from the camera showing the extent of his transformation. None of them could find any words to say, and Toby gave a big toothy grin. "Do you need me to go any farther?" he asked with his gruff fearsome voice.
They all shook their heads quickly, and Sasha giggled. "Yep...so y'all believe me now?" she teased.
Terra laughed. "I believed you when I saw him. He's an amazing specimen that's for sure" she chimed in.
Timothy blushed. "Wow, doesn't that hurt?" he asked.
Toby shrugged. "Not much..." he said as he leaned back in his chair scratching at his shoulder.
"You know...he looks even more handsome now" Rea said thoughtfully.
He blushed brightly. "Um...are you serious?" he muttered.
They all nodded, and Sasha giggled. "His mom and Zoe both said that he was the better looking ones" she added. Toby ran his hands over his forehead and groaned with mortification, and she grinned. "Hey, you're plenty scary though" she remarked.
"That's not the point!" He said through his hands.
They snickered at him. "You're really lucky to find such a nice werewolf, Sasha" Terra added. Sasha leaned in and held her head off the desk drifting into deep thought. Terra smiled. "I take it you two are getting along well?" she asked.
Toby raised an eyebrow, while Sasha nodded with a smile. Kari and Rea continued to gawk at Toby's lupine features while Timothy leaned back into his chair smirking. "I would say she's fallen for Mr. Big Bad" he said.
Toby gnawed at his hand nervously, and Terra giggled. "You would be right, but I can see that Toby has a warm fuzzy feeling too" she said. Toby looked up before he scowled at them, but Sasha laughed softly. Terra got up at walked over to her bookshelf and pulled off a book titled, "Guide to the Supernatural Vol. 10."
As she flipped through the pages, Timothy cleared his throat. "Wow, straight to volume 10?" he teased.
Terra stopped and rolled her eyes at him. "Hush you! I've been reading into werewolf courtship. I found some interesting things with Toby's aura also" she said before she started reading.
Rea snapped out of her trance. "What's about his aura now?" she asked.
Terra sighed heavily. "For one, his aura is so intense it's coming off into Sasha's screen, and he's not even fully transformed at that. Second, his wolf aura did not overpower his man aura. I can tell that he's a pure bred but I would have thought maybe more of his wolf would manifest itself..." she mumbled.
Sasha grinned. "Well, he is an Alpha supposedly" she chimed in.
Terra groaned and slammed her book shut. "Well, this book is no longer needed then..." she said before she briskly walked over to her bookshelf searched around.
"Alpha? As in the strongest?" Timothy asked.
Toby scratched at his neck nervously. "Uh...it's a little more nuanced than that. I'm not an alpha yet" he said watching Terra go through her entire library of books. "Well, in my case, I've been chosen to be the leader of all werewolves in my territory. I'm not necessarily the strongest...but I can hold my own in a fight or two" he said.
Kari giggled. "So does that make Zoe the strongest?" she asked.
Toby shrugged, and Sasha laughed nervously. "Zoe is a very strong werewolf, but her dad is the true Alpha. He's ultra-scary, and she's getting to his level herself, just like Toby is" she said.
Terra came back with a book titled, "There wolf, there castle: Werewolf Hierarchy Analysis" and she began to scan through the pages. "Huh...it says here that Alpha aura alone can invoke very strong emotions of fear and anxiety to even those who aren't empaths. Some can even influence the immediate environment" she said before she looked up at them happily. "You know...He's sure got alpha aura written all over him albeit its potential aura I'm sensing and not his latent aura. Even though he's not the alpha, he's got the prerequisites to be one" she complimented him.
Kari gulped. "What do you mean? By that? Potential aura and latent aura?" she asked.
Terra smiled. "In short, I can only sense aura that exists in this plane. Supernatural creatures exist in planes beyond this one. It's where their werewolf forms go when they are in human form, this goes for their aura as well" she said.
Toby stared at the screen blankly. "Uh...okay? So I'm supposed to be a fourth dimensional being?" he asked as he began to rub his head vigorously.
Terra snickered. "Well...who says it's just four? It could be more" she said.
Toby sighed. "I wasn't planning on being existential today" he groaned.
Sasha laughed. "I wasn't expecting you out of all of us to have their mind blown" she said.
Timothy and Rea laughed. "Hey, All our minds were blown today" he said before Rea nodded. "Besides that...it's one thing to read about something, but it's completely different to see it in person" he said before Rea nodded again.
"I'm giving this a ten out of ten for most mind blowing things I've seen" Rea added.
Toby's mother soon entered the room, and he flinched reverting to his human form. "Toby! What have I told you about putting your clean clothes away!?" she lectured him as she heaved the basket onto his bed. Everyone began to snicker before she looked over at the screen. "Sasha, are these your friends?" she asked. She walked up to the screen and looked at them sternly. "None of you took a screencap did you?" she asked.
They all shook their heads before she let out a heavy sigh. "Oh, thank goodness..." she muttered before she moved out of the camera's view. "Clean up your room! I've smelled that putrid pepperoni slice behind your desk for 2 weeks now, and it's making me sick!" she griped. Her muscular furry transformed arm entered the screen, and her claws dug into his shirt. "DO IT NOW!" she growled at him.
Toby's looked up at her and his eye twitched. "I got to go..." he muttered before he abruptly ended his call.
Everyone including Sasha was speechless until Timothy started to laugh. "Holy shit! His mom acts like my mom! If she were a werewolf of course" he said.
Rea nodded. "He looked like he was going to pee his pants" she joked.
Sasha smiled. "She's really nice...I..." she said before she looked off towards the window. "Oh wow...I can hear her from over here" she muttered.
Terra gulped. "Toby's mom's aura is suffocating his now. She must be really pissed off for some reason" she muttered.
Sasha gulped. "Let's hope he's intact tomorrow" she added.
