Tempest
...
Oh gale storm How I feel your wrath, The wind against my skin And the rain against my hair! You pelt me with air and water While the heart rushes, While I dare you to do your worst. Great storm, Great embodiment of air, Weather's most fickle child, I stand before you risen, Awaken from my sleep, Feeling your worst at my best. You roar, Oh storm, You roar and I tremble, But stand still nonetheless; It's almost at my own request, That you are merciless as you are And I the bolder for it. Oh great air elemental, Pelt me and pelt me again, And I shan't give up, Because you're my inferior in every way. How you blow, Oh storm, Knowing I am your better; How you tremble, Oh gale, knowing you cannot match me in perseverance. Moan and wail, Oh tempest, Your wrath is music to my ears Your lamentations a sublime nectar. Water pelts my face And I know I've won This little contest of ours. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
