romance writing practice, dont really need to see it unless ya wanna
romance writing practice, I wanna introduce a romance in my story while having this mystereeeey fantastical thing with it
Note: This is spoilery but everything in the main story is subject to change. I had an idea for these two characters to have a relationship. So I'm writing this ahead of time to test it. I don't have a plan or idea when this scene will occur or even what would have transpired before it. With that said, enjoy me attempting to write a something.
There was a time that he felt like he was the one in control. The triumphs, the respect he deserved, it was all fleeting. Sid sat alone amidst the dusty ruins, gazing up at the night sky as he conversed with someone. A being of white and gold sat next to him.
“You know what you must do.. Think of your people."
“Humans and anthromorphs are both my people!" Sid snapped his gaze angrily at the creature. The crystal growths on his neck glowed a bright gold.
“Humanity was never meant to survive their own undoing. With their presence we race towards another inevitable cataclysm. The same one that forced them to come here. I bought us time, but it won't last.. Neither will you.."
Blood dripped from Sid's nostrils. The color of it has a pearlescent golden sheen.
“Your time runs thin, if I have to I will take control. You are my vessel after all. While you still live you have been DEAD this entire time."
“No! I don't wanna be controlled by you. I will find what you're looking for but I won't forfeit my fathers life!"
“This inane banter is getting us nowhere.. Just remember that even with my power you still have that frail mortality."
“You're one to talk. You somehow barely have the power to manifest in this realm. If it wasn't for this crystal you would have no chance whatsoever. You hold the cards, yes but you are in no position to make demands of me- Aaaghh!!"
Sid suddenly felt a lurch of pain from his neck. The growths have begun to spread up to his jaw and down his neck. He spewed more blood from his mouth. Slowly he looked up at the entity and spit blood defiantly.
In an instant he had vanished with the sound of a calling voice, it was Sarah.
“Sid! I heard you yell, are you alright?" She rushed towards Sid and knelt down in front of him.
“Yeah, just peaches Sar."
“You're dripping blood from your mouth again. I'd wager a guess you're not alright."
She took out a handkerchief and wiped the blood away from his mouth. Her expression shifted from one of concern to surprise however when she saw the growth had spread.
“Oh my Zelethia!" she touched the new crystals grown on his jaw. “This isn't good right? We need to find a way to cure you Sid, fast."
“I want to believe there is one but.." Sid grimaced and looked away from her eyes.
“Don't you DARE say that there isn't one and you're doomed. You have to live. To get better.. I just, I don't deal with this sort of thing well. Dammit all! I need you."
“You need me?" Sid is stunned by the words, the desperation in her voice. Is she saying..?
“The past few months have been a ride, yes but I never grew to admire someone like you before. In the beginning I thought you were just a stubborn brat trying to find glory to make his dad proud."
“Well.. I was" Sid admitted.
“Yes, but looking at you now. You have grown.. You have saved my ass and I saved yours so many times. We've been through some hell and back but we became more than friends, more than partners.. Do you feel it too?"
“Uhh.. Yes? I mean from the very beginning you seemed so cool, a huge badass. I wanted to be everything you were and better. It's so strange now, never thought I would see a softer side to you back then."
“Well then I suppose I will just say this right now, while it's quiet. While we still have the chance. I never had a love before, and you Sid.. I think you're my first."
“Same here. I never thought of such a thing but now.. Hell I love you too Sarah. After everything we've been through, what I have become.. You were always there."
“I will be with you, till we die Sid"
Without another word she leaned forward and gave Sid a passionate kiss. Sid hugged her close in response, holding her tight as the morning sun began to rise.
