This is a special, but also a little sneak peek for my WOF series. I'm going to start posting it in a few weeks, but for now, enjoy the special and HAPPY V-DAY

Starflight looked over at Sunny who was sitting at their desk, writing on a scroll. He walked over and licked the side of her cheek.

“Hi.” She spoke.

“Time to go.”

Sunny looked up. “Go where?”

“It’s a surprise.” Starflight smiled.

Sunny gave him a confused look.

“C’mon, let’s go.” He grabbed her talons and pulled her away from the desk.

“Wait, I have work to do.”

“So do I, but we’ll be doing it later.”

Sunny chuckled. “C’mon, tell me what’s so important.”

“It’s a surprise, follow me.”

He ducked out of the cave, and heard her chuckle and follow him. They walked out of the academy, and Starflight took flight. Sunny called out to him, but Starflight only smirked as he flew away. The sun had set, and Sunny would have a hard time following him if he got too far, so she took flight and quickly caught up to him.

“You going to tell me where were going?” Sunny asked.

Starflight didn’t respond, but he shot her a smile as he kept flying. After a few minutes, they landed in the middle of the woods, and Starflight led her through the trees.

“Where are we?” Sunny spoke, but Starflight still didn’t respond.

They walked into a clearing, and Starflight lit a torch. Sunny gasped when she saw a blanket on the ground, and it was covered with various foods and drinks.

“I flew all the way to the sand kingdom to get some of this stuff.” Starflight told her.

“Starflight, you didn’t… You didn’t have to do this.”

“Of course I did, we never went on an official date, so let’s change that.” He smiled

She sat down and picked up a bottle of wine.

“How did you afford all of this?”

“Michael helped me; he has a lot of gold.”

He joined her on the blanket, and handed her a few lizards. They ate for a while, and enjoyed the wine while, with two of the moons rising. They weren’t full, but they were shining brightly, and Sunny was able to see the clearing nicely. Starflight looked at his love with a happy expression.

“Good first date?” He asked her.

“Yes.” Sunny smiled.

“I’m happy you chose me.” He told her.

“I’m so glad you fell in love with me, I can’t imagine myself with anyone else.” Sunny replied.

“Remember when we were in the cave, and I caught you that lizard?”

“Yeah, I hadn’t been able to catch any lately, that was very cute of you.” Sunny smirked.

“It was also the point where everybody figured out I had a crush on you.”

“Was it really that obvious?”

“Yep, they could see it in my eyes.” Starflight smiled.

Sunny smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder. “This was very nice of you, even though it was all my fault I made you wait.”

“Your happiness is my priority, and it always has been.” Starflight smiled.

“Is it true, you stayed at the academy for me?”

“Yes, you said you needed me to stay, so I did.” Starflight replied.

“You really didn’t have too.”

“But I wanted to, I liked how you would read me whatever new scrolls you would find, your voice helped me greatly during those years.”

Sunny looked up at him. “I’m glad I was able to help you even a little bit.”

“I don’t blame you for any of it, you were building the academy, and that was a lot of work.”

Sunny nodded and nuzzled him. “I’m sorry anyway.”

“It’s okay.”

Sunny hugged him. “You are way too forgiving.”

“It’s perfect, I can never stay mad at you.”

Sunny let him go and kissed him. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” Starflight replied.

Sunny looked over at the stars, and laughed. “It almost looks as beautiful as your wings.”

Starflight laughed. “Everybody loves them for some reason, what’s so special about them?”

“They are very pretty Starflight.”

He blushed. “They aren’t that special.”

“They are, they really are, all the other’s don’t even compare to yours.”

“You know, Mastermind told me they were for attracting mates.” His blush deepened.

“Like seawings with their fluorescent scales.” Sunny replied.

“Yep.” He extended his wings.

Sunny was dazzled for a moment, and lightly tapped Starflight’s shoulder. “You tease.”

“Are you attracted?” He smirked.

“Not really.” Sunny waved her claws. “I grew up looking at them, so I’m used to them.”

Starflight leaned over and kissed her. “Admit it.”

“Nope.” She smirked back.

Starflight looked up at the sky, and Sunny just stared at him for a while.

“I love the look of the stars in your eyes.” Sunny sighed.

Starflight looked over at her. “You’re the brightest thing in my eyes.”

Sunny smiled, and settled down on the ground. Starflight curled around her, and sighed.

“This is nice.” Sunny smiled. “Thank you for taking me on a date.”

“Your welcome.”

“How long did this take you?”

“Couple weeks, why?”

“A COUPLE OF WEEKS, and you managed to keep it from me?”

Starflight chuckled. “It’s why I kept disappearing, but you were so busy with your classes to notice that I was flying to other kingdoms to buy food and stuff.”

“And stuff?”

“I might have got you some jewelry, and a few other trinkets.”

“Really, why would you do that? My mom already sends me tons of jewelry.”

Starflight pulled out a necklace and a set of earrings from a hidden location, and handed it to her. He also pulled out a box of chocolates and set it down. Sunny looked at the necklace, and smiled over at Starflight.

“These are so pretty!”

“They are nightwing design.” He told her. “Michael dug them out of his old designs, and I had them made by one of our blacksmiths.”

She put on the necklace, and the earrings. Then looked down at the box and gasped.

“Are those chocolates?”

“Yep, I barely was able to get them, raingwings don’t like to sell their chocolate.”

Sunny bit into one of the pieces, and melted. “Mhm, this is so good.”

Starflight smiled “Glad you like it.”

She set the box back done. “I love it, this is the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for me.”

“I hope to change that.” Starflight replied.

Sunny smiled, and laid down on the soft grass, Starflight joined her, and she laid her head on his chest while he looked up at the stars.

“Perfect night.” Sunny spoke, yawning.

“It is, just as I hoped.” Starflight replied.

“You are such a sap.”

“You like it.”

“That I do.” Sunny smiled, and closed her eyes. “Night Star.”

“Night Sun.”
