Stellar Lily was a unicorn mare in one of the newly designed bio fuel powered aircraft. Surveying the area around colonized parts of Acrab. She was taking notes of where there were deposits of steel, plasteel, magicaly charged gems,
She also noted, while surveying the areas that there were previously undiscovered species of plants. They were three trees.
One being short, producing fruit that when studied. Revealed that their long term consumption helps improve reproductive health. Because the tree produces these beneficial fruits. It is soil sensitive, needing fertile soil to grow properly.
The second tree being average hight for trees. It produces an unusual pollen, that while irritating, has unusual properties that could find application in the future.
The third one being studied the least. It has a blue color and it could make for a great decorative plant in influencial places. It grows very tall and is high maintanace.
Unfortunatly or fortunatly there are locals living in the area. They are neutral humans who were mutated into anthro animals by chaobulb extract. They have different names for the resources found in and out of their influence. Calling plasteel "Thulium" and steel "durantium"
Stellar Lily hoped that they could ally with all these natives in the area. She would be appointed as a negociator for Anocratic empire. A task normaly reserved for Emperor Bigpip. Flying in the aircraft for long periods of time was unconfortable to Stellar Lily, since she would be flying in tight pilot gear. Lyli wasn't used to wearing many clothes. The high speeds and G force were also little too much even for an experienced pilot like her. The aircraft in question being called an Albatross:
She flew back to a military base to rest and refuel the aircraft. Landing smoothly, she started slowly taking off the pilot gear. Looking around, she didn't see anypony around. Only gootraxians were actualy around. Since vast majority of the military was made up of gootraxians nowdays.
She went to report to her superior, who was a pegasus stallion named Fiery Thunder. "You are back already? I trust that you have sufficient amount of photographs, of places that have resource deposits. Along with locations of enemy bases?"
She snorted in annoyance. "Yes i do. They aren't enemies Fiery Thunder. They aren't humans and are neutral. Which means they could be our friends, if we try."
"Whatever you say, i would not be so optimistic if i were you but as members of the imperial army, we need to follow orders. So we will see, what will be done tommorow. Go have some sleep."
Stellar Lily did not respond. Instead she slowly walked to the mare only barracks. Getting rest and later sleep. The next day at noon, she was ordered to travel along with few other diplomats into the zone of influence, belonging to anthro outlanders to vouch for the rest of Anocratic empire.
It was not that difficult as they were pragmatic and could be allied after open borders and trade routes were negotiated. They hed some kind of aircraft but it wasn't much compared to our bio fuel powered Albatross aircraft. Which did understandably concern them but i was able to negotiate with their leader Tito, an alliance regardless.
Next were the bat outlander, which we flew to at night, since that is when they were active. They weren't going to want to be our friends in a professional manners. Due to major indeological differences between us and their mixed raced neighbors that we recently allied. So more convincing would be neccesary. The same kind of agreements were made but it was not enough.
These two small civilizations were friendly to us but they hed two almost equaly sized malevolent couterparts. Who were furious at at us all. Stellar Lily asked her superiors about that. The answers she got, was that it would be impossible to ally with the two malevolent civilizations.
She would be upset to hear that, if it wasn't for the fact another diplomat flew back the base. Stating that a war has broken out between the bat outlanders and the malevolent rough anthro outlanders. By taking military actions against them and the malevolent bunny tribe. They would have a common foe.
Few days pasted, some small fights occured but casualties on both sides seemed minimal. The imperial military was using regular gootraxian infantry. Along with weaponized Albatross aircraft. Some carrying bombs and some being fitted with magical lasers. Among this fighting, the leaders of bat outlanders Maria Vera. Was happy to accept an alliance with Anocratic empire, due to having common enemies. He was a green skined anthro bat. A human transformed by chaobulb extract.
Two big differences between the bat outlanders and members of the Anocratic empire, was that the bats were entirely opposed to wearing clothes and were pacifists. Similar to to ponies in ancient Equestria. Their utilitarian architecture while slightly different, was similar to the constructivist architecture back home. Stellar Lily assumed they have been observing Anocratic empire's buildings for long time and recreated them for their own purposes.
She waved goodbye to leader Maria Vera, with her front hoof and flew back to her assigned military base. So that she can get a better idea of how the war is going. Without having to enter the war zone herself. She was quickly greeted by grumpy looking officer Fiery Thunder, opon her return.
When asked, Fiery Thunder told Stellar Lily that "The bunny tribe was swiftly defeated, however they accumulated all their forces in one place. Leading to a big bloody battle that resulted in annexation of the bunny tribe. The estimated fatalities of the imperial army is at 10000. Due to their forces seemingly buying or producing good equipment during the occupation. Causing our tired soldiers and officers to under estimate the enemies they were going to face. With the bunny tribe annexed, only the rough anthro outlanders remain in one fortified location."
Fiery Thunder continued "After those are dealt with, the annexed people can be reeducated and fully integrated into Anocratic empire. However thats not our job. You Lyli are a diplomat, so you will continue maintaining relations with the two anthro civilization. I will continue following orders."
"Yes i know the later Fiery Thunder, no need to remind me that." Stellar Lily rolled her eyes, heading to the shower room, so that she could clean the sweat from her thin cyan fur. Sighning in relief as the water washes over her. The shower room was a steel room with smooth limestone floor. Devided into smaller cubicles containing fixed shower heads, with water temperature lever at ground level. Taking a refreshing shower, she went to her barracks.
Having a look around, there were a couple of mares with her there. They were also aircraft pilots. One being visibly older then the other. The older one was reading a book, while the younger mare was writing something. Presumably a letter to somepony she is close to. Stellar Lily decided to do the same. She unziped her saddle bag, taking from it a piece of paper with a sharp pencil.
She then procceded to start writing a letter to her family. Describing briefly that she is doing alright. Writing about few new things that were discovered and what was happening. She slso expressed in her letter, the dissapointment of only being able to ally two of the four civilizations present on the mission. Few standing lamps in the barracks providing sufficient illumination. The barracks were partialy covered in a purple carpet that hed sword pattern. The many empty beds present were wooden, of good quality.
Some time has passed and the area has been stabilized, however this was not the end of troubles. Because ponies with their new allies have decided to mine the large deposits of demonite crystals, which were in the past only present under the ocean of Fequm. Causing mechanoids and insectoids to attack. However, while the mechanoids did some real damage. It wasn't anything urecoverable. Eventualy, both threats were dealt with. However, Stellar Lily knew that doing the same with Rainbonite deposits would be a lot more difficult. Due to the territory being contested by multiple outlander factions. Sadly for Stellar Lily, she was diagnosed with asthma and her doctor deemed it risky to continue flying, meaning she would no longer be a military aircraft pilot. Leading to her retirement as a pilot and diplomat. Instead getting a new job as a demonite crystal miner. The so called Demonite and Rainbonite crystals being used for creation of new gootraxians.
