23 Ancient

#23 of inktober 2019 yes, i had a nokia phone as my first phone. i fudged the numbers by a decade, apparently, but let's be honest: even a 12 year cell phone would be an antique these days. it's amazing that it still worked, really.

20 Tread

#20 of inktober 2019 getting a bit into size trash now: a bit of a thought on what it might be to be a micro in a world of much larger creatures. it is one thing to be in a land full of dangerous predators.

19 Sling

#19 of inktober 2019 sometimes all you can do is keep moving. it was with a heavy sigh that i moved on. all i could do was sling my bag over my shoulder and keep moving along the road.

16 Wild

#16 of inktober 2019 a bit of a wild idea: why not use a kaiju as transit? lots and lots of reasons, really. it was a simple enough concept: transportation by much larger creatures. why walk yourself when you could instead hitch a ride on a kaiju?

14 Overgrown

#14 of inktober 2019 because writing about an ancient rainforest is kind of cool, okay?

09 Swing

#9 of inktober 2019 inktober day nine: swing. a slightly more violent take on that word, and an excuse to get an under-used character of mine into a bit of writing. "be gone, foul demon!"

08 Frail

#8 of inktober 2019 my grandmother, one of the few members of my (adpotive) family who was accepting, died earlier this year. i'm mostly okay with it but this was hard to write. she was ninety-something years old.

07 Enchanted

#7 of inktober 2019 yes, i'm still going with the inktober posts. yes, i'm still trying to find slightly less obvious meanings in the daily prompts, such as finding an interpretation of "enchanted" that didn't just go into high fantasy.

"I am Not Afraid"

"art for art's sake" , as it were i am not afraid by ken anderson, 15 march, 2019. ah, yeah, there it is... it's been years; too long. the memory has faded, but the desire remains.

27 Coat

#27 of inktober 2019 yes, i've also noticed a trend of adding a touch of sci-fi where it fits. but hey, a machine shop can probably do things that aren't just machining, too. "back in for the usual?" the beetle nodded to the question.

22 Ghost

#22 of inktober 2019 some sci-fi stuff for this one, loosely inspired by the eclipse phase setting. because having a physical, biological body really is inconvenient sometimes. in an era of modern technology, death is only a minor inconvenience.
